Smoke Sensor with Siren – Using with Fibaro HomeCenter Lite Print

This page provides a solution to use Smoke Sensor with Siren with Fibaro HCL and forms a part of the larger Smoke Detector and Siren user guide.

To use the siren in HomeCenter Lite, please download the Virtual Module and integrate it into your HomeCenter Lite.

1. Preparation

1.1. Open the Browser and the desktop of your HomeCenter 2 and LogIn

1.2. Include the smoke sensor with siren as described in the manual.

1.3. Change to “ Devices

1.4. Press the button “ Add or Remove device ” on the left side.

1.5.  Select the enclosed file via the selection field and confirm with open.

1.6. Then switch back to “ Device “.

1.7. Now you find a new device in your desktop

1.8. To adjust this now, open the device adjustment by pressing the wrench.

1.9. Find out the device ID of your smoke detector

2.Settings

2.1. Open the configuration of your Virtual Module

2.2. Change to Advanced

2.3. Add in the line “IP-Adress” 127.0.0.1

2.4. Add in the line “TCP-Port” 11111


2.5. Scroll down and change the following settings:

2.5.1. DEVICEID: Add the Fibaro Device ID (see point 1.9)

2.5.2. USER:PASSWORDINBASE64CODE:

2.5.2.1. Go to Webpage BASE64 Encode

2.5.2.2. Enter your username and password separated by a colon from Home Center access and press Encode Base64

2.5.2.3. Replace the placeholder with the encrypted user name.

2.6. Press save on the right side and test the virtual module.
