  • Turn off and unplug vacuum

    • Run hand along entire length of power cord, it should be smooth

    • Check plug for damage

    • Check to see if outlet is working:

      • Test this by plugging in a cell phone charger or small appliance
      • If no power to outlet, test a different outlet in a separate room
      • Reset circuit breaker if needed
    • Check Dirt Tank

      • If full of water or debris the machine will power off
      • See “Indicator Lights”
    • Empty tank and reattach

    • Overheating

      • Machine has a Thermal Protector to protect it from overheating
      • When the Thermal Protector activates, the vacuum will stop operating
      • If this happens, turn the vacuum off, unplug it from the electrical outlet, check filters, and check for clogs
      • After resolving reason for overheating, let machine sit for 30 minutes while unplugged
      • After 30 minutes, the machine should power back up

If machine still does not have power, visit a BISSELL Authorized Service Center or Contact Us
