Unplug machine

Empty dirt cup by sliding Lock ‘n Seal lever to “unlock” position and pull dirt cup straight out

Lift out filter cup and twist plastic tab on top of filter to remove
- Separate outer foam and inner pleated filters
- Both filters can be washed with warm water and mild detergent
- Allow to completely air dry (24-48 hours) before reinstalling

Inspect suction inlet in upper tank for clog
- Upper tank and louvers may be wiped clean

Take out small, round filter beneath filter cup and any debris

Open door on side of machine to access post-motor filter
- Post-motor filter is NOT washable and should be replaced when dirty

Disconnect upholstery hose from both ends
- Insert broomstick into hose to remove any clogs
- If hose is cracked or damaged, a replacement needs to be ordered

Remove screw from left side of wand base and pull lower hose down to straighten
- Insert broomstick into lower hose to remove any clogs

Unplug machine and roll vacuum over so brush is facing up

Remove five screws (3 in front & 2 behind brush) on access plate and lift off

Grasp brush at both ends and lift straight out

Clean debris from brush and brush ends

Inspect the brush and belt for damage
- Brush should spin freely by hand
- Belt should be intact
- If any part is damaged, replacements will need to be ordered

To reinstall brush assembly
- Loop belt onto motor pulley and around brush between belt guard
- Stretch belt into place and slide brush into slots
- If machine is still loud, visit a BISSELL Authorized Service Center or Contact Us
