Check the brush roll for any obstructions
-
This unit features a brush roll reset feature, so if large debris become lodged in the brush roll, it will shut off
-
If this has happened, turn the machine off and remove the obstruction
-
Wait approximately 15 seconds for the motor to cool down before turning back on
-
Turn the machine off & remove the foot assembly from the machine by pushing on the foot release button on the front of the machine
-
Once the foot is off, turn it over, and use a coin to loosen the yellow tab by turning the screw to the left to unlock it
-
Lift the brush out of the foot and clear brush of debris
- NOTE: There is no belt to remove/check
- If damaged, a new brush roll will need to be ordered
-
With brush roll removed, check end caps on brush roll & foot housing for any damage
-
Put brush back into place and secure the lock on the yellow tab by turning it to the right
-
Try and turn the brush freely by hand
- If this works, put the foot assembly back on the machine, turn the power on, and check to see if the brush has started rotating
- If the brush does not turn, take the foot off again, remove the brush, and try the other brush that comes with the machine
- If that brush works, then the other brush will have to be replaced
- If brush roll still does not turn, please visit a BISSELL Authorized Service Center or Contact Us
