NOTE: The brush will not turn unless handle is in the reclined position

Turn on brush switch located on the upper handle beneath the power switch
- A green light will illuminate around brush switch when the brush motor is on

Verify handle is firmly inserted with screws tightly secured to ensure internal connectors are connected
- Front-side of handle should be flush with lower handle assembly
- If there is a gap, push firmly until flush

Unplug machine and turn over so brush is facing up

Remove five screws on brush cover and lift off

Lift out brush and clean off any debris from brush and brush ends
- Brush ends are removable for easy maintenance

Inspect brush and belt for damage
- Brush should spin freely by hand
- Belt should be intact
- If any parts are damaged, replacements will need to be replaced

If brush becomes jammed, an electronic current sensor will automatically shut the brush motor off
- When a jam occurs, power to the motor is cut and the lights around the brush button will flash five times
- Unplug machine, clear jam and turn machine back on to reset sensor
- If the brush still is not turning, visit a BISSELL Authorized Service Center or Contact Us
