Safety Guidelines

In compliance with European and nati-onal norms (e.g. DIN 1988 part 8) regular maintenance must be conducted.

  1. Observe the maintenance instruc-tions.

  2. Observe the further technical docu-ments (installation instructions, check list) of the device.

  3. Faults that could impair the safety have to be rectified immediately.

  4. Use only original spare parts.

  5. Maintenance work should only be carried out be qualified staff!
    • Please contact your professional plumber or Resideo’s technical customer services.

  6. Document the conducted mainte-nance work in the maintenance log.

The device has to be switched off before the maintenance and protected against being swit-ched on without authorisation (mains disconnection)!

Necessary tools

  • Open spanner, SW10
  • Phillips screwdriver
  • Long-nosed pliers

Preparation

  1. Remove lid of the salt container.
  2. Unclamp the cover hood with inte-grated control at the rear opening (pipe output) by widening the cover slightly and pulling off forwards to the salt filling opening.image 1
  3. Disconnect the plug of the power supply (12V)image 2
  4. Disconnect the plug of the disinfec-tion unit with long-nosed pliers.image 3
  5. Pull off the sensor plugs.image 4
  6. Disconnect the valve head to drive motor plug by pressing the release of the plug connection and gently pulling it and put cover hood to the side.image 5

Disinfection unit

For replacement, the disinfection unit DE10S-A (for devices up to July 2013) or the new disinfection unit DE10S-AN (for devices after August 2013) is needed.
The service lives of the disinfection units are as follows:
DE10S-A: 100 regeneration (approx. 1 year)
DE10S-AN: 400 regeneration (approx. 4 years)
After this, they must be replaced.

Replacement of DE10S-A
  1. Carry out steps 1 through 6 from chapter 3 – Preparation.
  2. Loosen and remove valve head transport protection from the anchor.image 6
  3. Feed plug of the disinfection unit through the sleeve.image 7
  4. Feed the disinfection unit cable through the cutout in the housing.image 8
  5. Release the hoses on the disinfection unit by pressing in the draw-off protection and gently pressing the hose in the direction of the disinfection unit. Pull off the hoses on both the infeed and the outfeed sides.image 9
  6. Replace the disinfection unit.
  7. Reassemble in reverse order
Replacement of DE10S-AN
  1. Carry out steps 1 through 6 from chapter 3 – Preparation.
  2. Remove the disinfection unit from the holder.image 10
  3. If necessary, replace holder with the included spare part.
  4. Release the hoses on the disinfection unit by pressing in the draw-off protection and gently pressing the hose in the direction of the disinfection unit. Pull off the hoses on both the infeed and the outfeed sides.image 11
  5. Replace the disinfection unit.
  6. Replace electric lines with included replacement lines and plug these into the disinfection unit.
  7. Replace the disinfection unit.
  8. Plug in the hoses.
  9. Reassemble in reverse order

O-rings of the ejector

To replace the O-rings, the O-ring set EK10S-C is needed.

  1. Carry out steps 1 through 6 from chapter 3 – Preparation.

  2. Pull off the ejector’s fastening clip upwards.image 12

  3. Pull off the ejector and the O-rings (Fig.1, pos. 1) and replace.
    All seal rings have to be coated with the supplied lubrication.

  4. Reassemble in reverse order

Ejector

The following maintenance sets are required for maintenance on the ejector:
EK10S-B (for devices up to July 2013) with red nozzle holding element or
EK10S-BN (for devices from August 2013) with white nozzle holding element
EK10S-B and EK10S-BN outwardly vary in the colour of the nozzle holding element (see above).

  1. Carry out steps 1 through 6 from chapter 3 – Preparation.
  2. Screw off the ejector’s lid anti-clock-wise and remove.image 13
  3. Remove sealing ring, spacer as well as filter element.image 14
  4. Take out the nozzle holding element.image 15
  5. Take out the flat seal.image 16
  6. Check lenticular sieve for soiling and rinse out in a container if necessary.image 17
  7. Insert the lenticular sieve with the lenticular bulges downwards.image 18
  8. Insert the flat seal with the writing upwards.image 19
  9. Check the nozzle for plugging.image 20
  10. Insert the nozzle holding element.image 21
  11. Re-insert the nozzle with the writing upwards.image 22
  12. Insert the filter sieve, spacer piece and seal ring.image 23
  13. Screw on the ejector’s lid hand-tight (without a tool).image 24

Controller head seal kit

The controller head seal kit EK10S-A is needed for the replacement.

  1. Carry out steps 1 through 6 from chapter 3 – Preparation.

  2. Remove the valve-head drive motor after loosening the screw connection.image 25

  3. Pull off the position sensor plugs.image 26

  4. Loosen the screw connections and remove the intermediate plate.image 27

  5. Screw out the valve block lid’s screws and remove the lid comple-tely.image 28The following seals need to be replaced during the maintenance of the controller head seal kit: Figure 1: Pos. 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 + 6 + 7
    All seal rings have to be coated with the supplied lubrication.

  6. Reassemble in reverse order When screwing on the lid, make sure when applying the screws that the self-cutting screw enters the same notch in the plastic. This is best done by turning the screw one rotation to the left until the screw audibly jumps over the notch. After that, screw in the screw all the way.
