Aeotec Doorbell 6.

Aeotec Button is designed to work with Siren6 and Doorbell6 over 433.92 MHz FSK technology.

Important safety information.

Button offers IP55 water protection and is suitable for outdoor use without direct exposure to heavy and penetrative rain. Button is constructed with nylon; keep away from heat and do not expose to flame. Avoid exposing Button to direct sunlight where possible in order to avoid UV damage and reduced battery performance.

Keep product and batteries away from open flames and extreme heat. Avoid direct sun light or heat exposure. Always remove all batteries from products that are being stored and not used. Batteries may damage the appliance if they leak. Do not use rechargeable batteries. Ensure correct polarity when inserting the batteries. Improper battery use may damage the product.

Quick Start.

Getting your Button up and running is as simple as pairing it to your Siren 6 or Doorbell 6. The following instructions tell you how to link your Button to your Siren 6 or Doorbell 6.

Power up Button.

  1. Open battery cover of Button.
  2. Insert CR2450 battery into Button.
  3. Lock the battery cover into place.
  4. Tap Doorbell once and ensure that the LED blinks once.

Pair Button to Siren/Doorbell 6.

  1. Tap Action Button of Siren 6 or Doorbell 6 3x times quickly.
  2. Ensure that LED of Siren/Doorbell 6 is blinking slowly.
  3. Tap Button 3x times quickly.

If successful, Siren/Doorbell 6 blinking will stop.

Install Button.

  1. Select installation location for Button.
  2. Test Button in location before installing to ensure Button communication reaches Siren/Doorbell 6. If Button does not trigger Siren/Doorbell 6, select a different location for installation.
  3. Affix the Mounting Plate of Button using 2x 20mm screws or use double-sided tape.
  4. Lock Button to Mounting Plate.

Replace battery.

1. Remove Aeotec Button from its mount.

2. Unscrew the 2 screws holding the battery cover in place.

3. pull the battery cover away by sliding it upwards then slip the cover off.

4. Remove the battery.

5. Replace with new CR2450 battery.

6. Slide cover back on.

7.Replace the screws back into to secure the battery cover.


Advanced.

Installing multiple Buttons to Siren/Doorbell 6.

Siren 6 or Doorbell 6 allows up to 3 separate buttons to be installed, it is possible to overwrite a current Button installed, or install a 2nd or 3rd Button to control the same device.

Pair Button #1 to Siren/Doorbell 6.

  1. Tap Action Button of Siren 6 or Doorbell 6 3x times quickly.
  2. Ensure that LED of Siren/Doorbell 6 is blinking slowly.
  3. Tap Button 3x times quickly.

If successful, Siren/Doorbell 6 blinking will stop.

Pair Button #2 to Siren/Doorbell 6.

  1. Tap Action Button of Siren 6 or Doorbell 6 4x times quickly.
  2. Ensure that LED of Siren/Doorbell 6 is blinking slowly.
  3. Tap Button 3x times quickly.

If successful, Siren/Doorbell 6 blinking will stop.

Pair Button #3 to Siren/Doorbell 6.

  1. Tap Action Button of Siren 6 or Doorbell 6 5x times quickly.
  2. Ensure that LED of Siren/Doorbell 6 is blinking slowly.
  3. Tap Button 3x times quickly.

If successful, Siren/Doorbell 6 blinking will stop.

Overwriting Button

Follow any of the Button #1-3 pair steps to replace/overwrite a current Button already paired.
