RELIABLE MESSAGING

Reliable delivery of crucial information is essential in disaster recovery, operational or tactical environments. TacTalk ensures quick and accurate delivery of messages and files using (Automatic Repeat reQuest) ARQ protocols. Message delivery status notification is provided.

EFFECTIVE CHANNEL USE

All messages and files are sent compressed and delivered in order of assigned priority. TacTalk will automatically retry and resume undelivered or interrupted messages. TacTalk will optimise each message: File attachments are compressed and Image files can be optionally resized. This results in smaller transmission sizes and faster delivery.

MULTI-FREQUENCY SUPPORT (ALE) – OPTIONAL

TacTalk optionally uses the Automatic Link Establishment (ALE) function of the RT and RA modem to enable efficient multi-frequency operation.

MESSAGE ARCHIVE

TacTalk provides a time-stamped archive history, which gives the operator an overview of all messages sent and received. The archive allows resending of messages which were not delivered.

RT AND RA TERMINALS AND MODEMS

TacTalk is designed to support the RT and RA Terminal and Modem range, ensuring 100% messaging interoperability.

EASE OF USE

TacTalk is designed for maximum ease of use. The installation and configuration are completed with a quick step-by-step wizard. TacTalk provides clear indications of network activity including Secure Digital Voice communications, which can be accommodated on the same channel.

PROGRESS AND STATUS

The delivery progress of larger incoming and outgoing messages is displayed on the TacTalk User Interface. This gives the operator a clear view of network activity and transfer throughput.

CONFIGURATION

The TacTalk Network is configured using the sat-Com Mission Plan Application. The Network design, Frequencies, Call Signs (Address Book) is automatically transferred from the modem to TacTalk, requiring very little configuration from the operator.

ADDRESS BOOK

Address book functionality has been built into TacTalk: all contacts specified for the network can be viewed, addressed by point-to-point Chat and exported to a file, which can then be imported into compatible email clients for example MS Outlook®.
