PIN Configuration
RNS-E, MFD2, RNS 510
- Can High – PIN 9
- Can Low – PIN 10
- Ground – PIN 12
- Red – Steady plus
For MFD2 the AV and AUX source have to be deactivated before connecting.
RNS-D, MFD
- Can High – PIN 13
- Can Low – PIN 26
- Ground – PIN 8
- Red – Steady plus
Comand
- Ground – PIN 8
- Red – PIN 7
For RNS 510 with softwareindex 522 and higher the CAN-Gateway (Address 19) has to be coded to TV. Please contact your VW-dealer!
PIN Configuration for factory fitted RVC
In case of factory fitted RVC the loom (35951) has to be connected to the 54-
pole connector of the control unit for RVC.
The control unit can be located on different places within the vehicle.

- Yellow – Pin 14 (Video)
NOTE: If there is an error regarding the display of the image while putting the vehicle in reverse, you have to use the Cinch-input on the circuit board instead.

Article-ID 35676 (RNS-E) add on cable – Pin 3 35677 (MFD2/RNS2)
Furtheremore you need to connect the wiring to the original RVC

Address 56 – Chanal 04 – set 0 to 1
The head unit has to have a softwareindex of at least 550. -
Head unit VW RNS 510

For fitting RVC interface universal
Address 19 – Diagnostic interface – needs to be coded to RVC -
Fitting RVC in connection with multimedia adapter 35538 is not possible

Autom. switch RVC is limited to head unit RNS-E, MFD2/ RNS2, RNS 510
No auto switch for MFD, RNS-D, Comand 2.0, Comand 2.5
For vehicles which do not support the Rear-signal through the CAN articleID
35676, 35677 can be connected directly to the rear signal of the car (ONLY
RNS-E, MFD2) for example Audi A2, A6 (4B)
Control line
Control line needs to be connected to the 2-pole connector of the main loom.
