Dear customer,
Plancha is a grill by contact ideal for a healthy cooking of any type of food:
shellfish, fish, meat, vegetable… It has been used for a few years by the most
famous ‘’chefs’’, and is now available in three sizes, 45 ; 60 & 75 cm, to go
along with your relaxing moments with family and friends.
The ENO planchas are designed and manufactured in France. They are “Certified
French Origin” guaranteed.
ENO is designing sustainable, recyclable quality products.
In order to fulfill your expectations, we have designed this item to be
operated on all available gas cylinders or from a connection to natural gas.
The heat output of your Plancha is such that the support of your product must
be made of an inflammable material:
concrete, fire-proof bricks, or ceramics. For your comfort, we have designed a
specific and elegant range of trolleys.
Please ask your retailer for more details on these.
We ensure a two-year guarantee for parts and labor, starting from the
purchasing date. Cast-iron hotplates and burners have a 10-year warranty from
the purchase date. Our service department commits to ensuring the availability
of parts during 5 years minimum after your purchase. However, we recommend
strictly follow our technical instructions for use and maintenance. Not
respecting these instructions may be dangerous or might generate serious
damages to your product.
For your safety, we remind you that Plancha is for outdoor use and that no
flammable material must be in a radius of ca 0,50 m around and beneath the
product. We also recommend not to store any flammable liquid or vapors next to
the product.
In case you notice a gas smell, you have to shut the valve of the gas cylinder
or the connection to natural gas. When not using the Plancha, shut as well the
valve of a gas cylinder or connection to natural gas.

LEGAL CONDITIONS
YOUR PRODUCT CAN ONLY BE INSTALLED OUTDOOR PLANCHA is not equipped with an
exhaust system for burnt material.
It must be installed and connected according to current legal installation
rules.
Special attention will be paid to rules about air ventilation. An input of 15
m3 / h of fresh air is required for the feeding in combustion air.
CAREFUL :
– Accessible parts can be very warm, keep young children away.
– This appliance must be kept away from flammable materials during use.
– It may be dangerous to modify any part of the product
– Do not move the product
– After use, shut gas valve on cylinder or wall (Natural gas)
– Wait until it is cold before cleaning
– Do not use an adjustable regulator
– Do not modify the appliance
– We advise using 6 or 13 kg cylinders (Butane or Propane) along with a safe
regulator. This item can also operate with natural gas (Ask advice from your
retailer)
– The bowl must be handled when the product is cold
– The length of the flexible hose between the product and the gas tank must
not exceed 1,50 m.
CHOOSING GAS :
Your PLANCHA is adjusted in the factory for butane/propane 28 / 37 mbar use
according to information a data badge. In case of use of natural gas, ask to
advise from your retailer or contact our after-sales service to receive the
right nozzles.
CAREFUL: In the case of use of natural gas, it is strictly forbidden to put
your PLANCHA on a mobile table or a trolley. Your product must be fixed.
GAS CONNECTION
Two keys are necessary one for the side of the gas inlet, the other on the
side to screw To ensure a proper set up, avoid twisting or curves the rubber
tube.
Changing containers must never be undertaken in the presence of a naked flame.
Connection for use in category I3+ (Butane / Propane)
The product must be connected on the side, close to the knob
For butane (G30), use a safety regulator NF 28 mbar
– Flexible metal hose NFD 36 -125 (Length 1 m)
– Flexible hose XPD 36 – 112 (Length 1 m)
– Flexible hose with two clips XPD 36 – 110 (Length 1 m)
For propane (G 31), use a safety regulator NF 37 mbar
– Flexible metal hose NFD 36 – 125 (Length 1 m)
– Flexible hose XPD 36 – 112 (Length 1 m)
The tightness must be checked with soapy water after opening the cylinder. No
bubble shows a good tightness.
DANGER: Never check tightness with a flame.
Connection for use in category I2E + (Natural gas).

For natural gas (G 20)
– Flexible metal hose NFD 36 – 121

The hose must be corresponding to standards and be visible on its whole length
(From the wall valve to product), it must be as
well easy to reach.
The tightness must be checked with soapy water after opening of the wall
valve. No bubble shows a good tightness.
DANGER: Never check tightness with a flame. it is strictly forbidden to use a
connector for butane gas.
BEFORE USE
– Before positioning your grill on your plancha, install the battery; spring
and plug. (See paragraph VI)
– Check tightness, if you notice a leakage, shut the gas inlet
– Check that hose cannot be in contact with parts of the product that can
become warm
– If you have equipped your product with a lid against dust or humidity, check
that this one is removed
– Before the first use, operate empty PLANCHA for 15 minutes (A light smell
can be noticed for a while)
– The bowl to receive juices must be handled when cold
– Before any cooking preheat for 10 minutes (Knobs on the bigger flame)
IGNITING YOUR PLANCHA
The burner is operated by a safety valve with FFO, equipped with an operating
knob and an ignitor.
The knob bears an indication of valve position
– Open butane or propane cylinder or wall valve if using natural gas
– Your product is equipped with a locking valve in off position (Mark is
clearly indicated with a full disk) giving a total security
– Press the knob and rotate it towards big flame (Sparkle symbol). Then
operate the ignitor, a click can be heard and the sparkle ignites the burner,
keep the knob pressed for 10 seconds to activate the security. Check that
burner is well ignited
– Release the knob. If the burner does not remain ignited, start operation
again. Then adjust the length of the film by rotating the knob toward the
small flame symbol. To shut the PLANCHA, rotate the knob toward off position
(Full disk)
NOTICE: In case the igniter is not working properly, a hole in the front
enables to ignite the burner with a long match.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT
– The battery holder is under the plancha, to replace it, remove the plate and
the lid, return the appliance and unscrew the black cap
anticlockwise, replace the 1,5V R6 type battery.
– Reassembly in the reverse mode.
– If you don’t use your plancha for a long time, it is advisable to remove the
battery.
MAINTENANCE OF YOUR PLANCHA
GREASE TRAY CLEANING: – To remove the grease tray, press above the gauge until
you hear a click. You can clean the tray with dishwashing liquid or in the
dishwasher. Once it’s clean, introduce the tray in the reverse opposite
direction of disassembly.
Warm plancha: during cooking, let food grill for a few seconds until slightly
brown; this is the so-said “Maillard Effect” caramelization of juices.
Unstick the food from the plate with the ENO spatula and turn it to caramelize
both sides. Then gently cook the food over low heat. You’ll get juicy,
slightly crunchy, and very tasty cooking.
Between cookings: scrape the hotplate with the ENO spatula to remove residues,
scratch with the ENO stainless ball, and wipe with an absorbing cloth. Your
plancha is ready for the following dish.
After cooking: before your plancha cools, scrape the hotplate with the ENO
spatula. If the plate is very dirty, pour a little water and scrape to remove
residues. Use the ENO stainless ball to clean the hotplate and wipe with an
absorbing cloth.
Cold plancha: apply Plancha Cleaner with the stainless ball and a little
water, then wipe with the ENO microfiber cloth : your plancha will resume its
original shine.

When you do not use any longer your PLANCHA, store it in a dry place or cover
it with a plastic bag (Once it is completely cold)
Regularly check your hose. Do not hesitate to change it if any doubt (Check
validity date)
Do not twist the gas hose and keep it away from any part that might be warm.
To remain in good condition, it requires a minimum care
Each product is checked all along the manufacturing process.
If something unnormal occurs, please check that all instructions have been
carefully respected. Especially check that the regulator used is corresponding
to gas and pressure from your cylinder and that the data badge on a product is
corresponding to the gas you are using.
Not respecting these rules might damage your product.
If not used for a long period, check that the burner venturi tube is not blocked
- Remove grilling plate
- Unclip the burner cap
- Check that burner is not blocked
If venturi tube is blocked, take the dirt away and reassemble the whole.
CONTRACT GUARANTEE
In case of a problem, contact the retailer from whom you bought the Plancha
from.
This product is guaranteed 2 years from the date of purchase, against all
manufacturing or operating failures.
Hotplate: lifetime guarantee
Burners: 10 years limited guarantee valid from date of purchase
During this guarantee, ENO after-sales department takes the charge of the cost
of parts and labor to fix the product.
To operate this guarantee, you have to show the purchasing invoice and the
guarantee sheet duly filled and bring the product back to your retailer in its
original packaging with proper over-packing.
Prior to the guarantee exercise, your retailer will have to give his formal
agreement.
EXCLUSIONS OF GUARANTEE
This guarantee does not cover incidents due to bad maintenance or faulty use:
fall, shock, a mistake in connection…
Guarantee of enameled plate excludes damages resulting from the following
circumstances:
– Fall or shock
– Wrong use or not in conformity with users instructions
– Lack of maintenance or cleaning
– Use of corrosive detergents is not suitable with enameled surfaces.
– Adaptation not complying with safety regulations
This guarantee is not applied if a person or company not duly entitled by ENO
has made repairs or interventions.
Availability of parts is guaranteed during 5 years minimum.
Freight and packaging costs are taken over by customers. Returns carriage
forward are not accepted. Once the product is repaired, damages in transport
are not covered by this guarantee. Les dommages subis pendant le transport des
appareils, une fois réparés, ne sont pas couverts par cette garantie. They
must be confirmed by registered mail to the transport company within 3 days.
We cannot ensure a guarantee in case these prescriptions are not respected.
In case of dispute, the only recognized jurisdiction is the Court of Commerce
in NIORT- FRANCE (This clause is considered as essential without which, this
guarantee should not exist).
LEGAL GUARANTEE
The dispositions of this guarantee do not exclude the benefit for the purchaser of the legal guarantee against defaults and flaws which is generally applicable by law.
