Y-Adapter for Wireless PTT Pod (NNTN8385)
(For use with Operation Critical and
Mission Critical Wireless Push-to-Talk)
ACOUSTIC SAFETY
Exposure to loud noises from any source for extended periods of time may
temporarily or permanently affect your hearing. The louder the radio’s volume,
the less time is required before your hearing can be affected. Hearing damage
from loud noises is sometimes undetectable at first and can have a cumulative
effect.
To protect your hearing:
- Use the lowest volume necessary to do your job.
- Increase the volume only if you are in noisy surroundings.
- Reduce the volume before connecting the headset or earpiece.
- Limit the amount of time you use headsets or earpieces at high volume.
- When using the radio without a headset or earpiece, do not place the radio’s speaker directly against your ear.

Attention
The NNTN8385 Y-Adapter is compatible with Operations Critical Wireless PTT
(NNTN8127/NNTN8191) with R01.03.00 software or later, and Mission Critical
Wireless PTT (NTN2571) with R01.04.00 software or later. PTT units purchased

Position the inductive neck loop on the body in the desired position and then
reduce the volume via PTT to the lowest level at which the received audio is
acceptable. Lowering the volume and wearing the neck loop closer to the
earpiece will improve battery life performance. The neck loop has a typical
battery life of 9.5 hours at the highest volume setting using a 5/5/90 usage
profile.
Refer to the earpiece manual for insertion/wearing instructions.
Wear the earpiece as close as possible to the inductive neck loop.
NNTN8385 is not FM approved for use with FM Approved intrinsically safe
radios.
