Safety Notes
WARNING! Read all safety warnings and all instructions. Failure to follow
the safety warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire and/or
serious injury.

Never direct the water jet against the face of people and animals, the machine itself, or electric components.
Operation
- The operator must use the product in accordance with the regulations. The local conditions must be taken into account. When working, pay attention to other people, especially to children.
- Never allow children, persons with physical, sensory or mental limitations or a lack of experience and/or knowledge and/or people unfamiliar with these instructions to use the product. Local regulations may restrict the age of the operator.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the product.
- The operator is responsible for third parties in the work area. Make sure that the water jet does not point in a direction where it can cause damage.
Application
- All current-conducting components in the work area must be protected against splashed water.
- Materials containing asbestos and other materials which contain substances that are hazardous to your health must not be sprayed.
- Operate the machine only when the battery compartment is shut. This protects the battery against splashed water.
- Before use, check that the machine and operating equipment are in perfect condition and are safe to operate. Do not use if it is not in perfect condition.
- The machine must be placed on a stable surface.
- Do not use solvent-containing liquids, undiluted acids, acetone or solvents, including petrol, paint thinners, heating oil. The sprayed vapors are highly flammable, explosive, and toxic.
- Never fill the water tank with the filter removed or if the filter is damaged.
- Do not modify the machine. Unauthorized modifications can impair the safety of your machine, lead to increased noise and vibrations, and poor performance.
- Do not direct the spray jet against the faces of persons or animals.
- Never immerse the machine into the water to fill the tank.
- High pressure may cause objects to rebound. If necessary wear suitable personnel protective equipment such as safety goggles.
- Use only fresh (not saline) water to fill the water tank.
Recommendations for Optimal
Handling of the Battery Pack
-
Do not open the battery. There is a risk of short-circuiting.
Protect the battery against heat (e.g., against continuous intense sunlight), fire, water, and moisture. There is a risk of explosion. -
In case of damage and improper use of the battery pack, vapors may be emitted. Ventilate the area and seek medical help in case of complaints. The vapors can irritate the respiratory system.

Only use the battery with products from the manufacturer. This is the only way in which you can protect the battery against dangerous overload.
The battery can be damaged by pointed objects such as nails or screwdrivers or by force applied externally. An internal short circuit may occur, causing the battery to burn, smoke, explode or overheat. -
Do not short-circuit the battery. There is a risk of explosion.

Occasionally clean the venting slots of the battery using a soft, clean, and dry brush.

Charge the machine only with the supplied battery charger.
Safety Warnings for Battery Chargers
Read all safety warnings and all instructions. Failure to follow the
safety warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire, and/or
serious injury.
Save all safety warnings and instructions for future reference. Use the
battery charger only when you fully understand and can perform all functions
without limitation, or have received appropriate instructions.

Never allow children, persons with physical, sensory or mental limitations or a lack of experience and/or knowledge and/or people unfamiliar with these instructions to use the battery charger. Local regulations may restrict the age of the operator.

Supervise children at all times.
-
This will ensure that children do not play with the battery charger.
Charge only Bosch lithium-ion batteries with a capacity above 1.5 Ah (3 battery cells or more). The battery voltage must match the battery charging voltage of the charger. -
Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries.
Otherwise, there is a danger of fire and explosion.
Keep the battery charger away from rain or moisture. Penetration of water in the battery charger increases the risk of an electric shock. -
Keep the charger clean. Dirt poses a risk of electric shock.

Always check the charger, cable, and plug before use. Stop using the charger if you discover any damage. Do not open the charger yourself, and have it repaired only by a qualified specialist using only original replacement parts. Damaged chargers, cables and plugs increase the risk of electric shock.

Do not operate the charger on an easily ignited surface (e.g. paper, textiles, etc.) or in a flammable environment.

There is a risk of fire due to the charger heating up during operation. Do not cover the ventilation slots of the battery charger. Otherwise, the battery charger can overheat and no longer operate properly.

For increased electrical safety, we recommend using a residual current device with a max. tripping current of 30 mA. Before using, always check your residual current device.
Transport and Storage
-
Switch the machine off and ensure that the extendable handle is locked before transporting.
Care should be taken when lifting and moving the machine, particularly when the water tank is full. Check if the extendable handle is securely locked. Use the extendable handle and the lower front handle to lift the machine. Ensure a healthy back posture when lifting the machine. Keep your back straight and bend the knees. -
Use caution when moving the machine over slopes or steps. The machine is heavy when filled with water.

Before storing, drain the water from the tank and the pump system.
Maintenance
u Switch off the unit prior to all cleaning and maintenance work and before
replacing components. Pull out the mains plug if the unit is mains operated.
u Repairs may only be carried out by authorized Bosch Service Centres.
Accessories and spare parts
- Accessories and spare parts which have been approved by Bosch must be used. Original accessories and spare parts guarantee that the machine can be operated safely and without any breakdowns.

Intended Use
The machine is intended for domestic use, either fed from the internal tank or
the mains water connection, to clean vehicles, tools, windows, boots,
bicycles, dogs (in low-pressure mode), outdoor toys, greenhouses, garden
furniture, etc.
The pressure mode and spray pattern should be correctly adjusted for the
respective cleaning task.

The specifications apply to a rated voltage [U] of 230 V. These specifications may vary at different voltages and in country-specific models.
Noise/Vibration Information
Noise emission values were determined according to EN 60335-2-79.
Typically the A-weighted noise levels of the product are Sound pressure level
67 dB(A); sound power level 78 dB(A). Uncertainty K = 4,0 dB.
Overall vibrational values ah (vector sum of three directions) and uncertainty
K determined according to EN 60335-2-79: ah = 0,4 m/s 2 , K = 0,5 m/s2

Switching on
Charging the Battery
u Pay attention to the mains voltage. The voltage of the power source must
match the voltage specified on the rating plate of the charger.
The battery is equipped with temperature monitoring that allows charging only
in the temperature range between 0 °C and 35 °C. In this manner, a high
battery service life is
achieved.
Note: The battery is supplied partially charged. To ensure full battery
capacity, completely charge the battery in the battery charger before using it
for the first time.
The lithium-ion battery can be charged at any time without reducing its
service life. Interrupting the charging procedure does not cause damage to the
battery.
The “Electronic Cell Protection (ECP)” protects the lithium-ion battery
against deep discharging. When the battery is empty, the product is switched
off by means of a protective circuit: The product no longer operates.
Do not continue to press the On/Off switch after an automatic shut-off of
the product.
The battery could become damaged. Observe the notes for disposal of the
battery.
Inserting/Removing the Battery (see figures D and L)
Note: Using unsuitable batteries can lead to malfunctions or damage the
machine.
Press the battery compartment release button (15) to open the battery
compartment cover (14). Insert the charged battery (19). Ensure the battery is
inserted correctly.
Close the battery compartment cover and ensure that the lock of the battery
compartment release button (15) has engaged. The battery compartment cover
(14) protects the
battery against splashed water during operation.
Press the battery compartment release button (15) to open the battery
compartment cover (14). To remove the battery (19) from the machine, press the
battery unlocking button (20) and pull the battery out.
Meaning of the Indication Elements (AL 1810 CV)
Flashing battery charge indicator
The charging process is indicated by the flashing of the battery charge
indicator.
Solid light on the battery charge indicator
A solid light on the battery charge indicator signals that the battery is
fully charged or that the temperature of the battery is not within the
permitted charging temperature range, and can therefore not be charged. The
battery is charged as soon as the allowable charging temperature range is
reached. When the battery is not inserted, a solid light on the battery charge
indicator signals that the mains plug is inserted in the plug socket and that
the charger is ready for operation.
Meaning of the Indication Elements (AL 1830 CV)
(Fast) Flashing of the Green Battery Charge Indicator
The rapid-charging procedure is indicated by the fast flashing of the green
battery charge indicator.
Note: The rapid-charging procedure is only possible when the battery
temperature is within the allowable charging temperature range, see section
“Technical Data”.
(Slow) Flashing of the Green Battery Charge Indicator
When the charging condition of the battery is 80%, the green battery charge
indicator flashes slowly.
The battery can be removed for immediate use.
Continuous Lighting of the Green Battery Charge Indicator
Continuous lighting of the green battery charge indicator indicates that
the battery is fully charged.
When the battery is not inserted, continuous lighting of the battery charge
indicator indicates that the main plug is inserted in the socket outlet and
that the battery charger is ready for operation.
Continuous Lighting of the Red Battery Charge
IndicatorContinuous lighting of the red battery charge the indicator indicates
that the temperature of the battery is not within the allowable charging
temperature range, see section “Technical Data”. As soon as the allowable
charging temperature range is reached, the battery charger automatically
switches to rapid charging.
Flashing Red Battery Charge Indicator
A flashing red battery charge indicator indicates a different malfunction of
the charging procedure, see section “Troubleshooting – Causes and Corrective
Measures”.
Operation
Always use fresh water to fill the internal tank either directly or via the water connection. Check if the filter (10) is inserted and undamaged (see figures C1 and C2).
Connect the hose (4) to the water outlet (9) and the spray gun (18) (see
figure F).
Select the desired spray pattern by rotating the nozzle head (1) (see figure
I).
Select the desired jet strength with the pressure selector (12) (see figure
H).
Press the On/Off switch (13) and pull and hold the trigger (2) until water
comes out (see figure G).
Note: It can take up to 10 seconds for water to come out when the product
is first used after the water tank has been emptied.
Autostop Function
The machine is designed to switch off the motor as soon as the spray-gun
trigger (2) is released.
Auto-off Function
The motor switches off when the product runs continuously for 30 minutes.
Auto sleep Function
The machine automatically switches off after 5 minutes without operation.
Mounting/dismounting the brush (see figure J)
The brush (5) mounts onto the spray gun and makes cleaning more effective.
Slide the brush straight onto the spray gun (18). Guide the upper and bottom
clip of the brush into the corresponding openings on the spray gun.
Remove the brush by pressing the bottom clip upward and pulling the brush off
the spray gun.

Maintenance and Service
Maintenance, Storage and Transportation (see figures K – N)
Switch the machine off and press the trigger to drain the water from the hose.
Disconnect hose from spray gun and water outlet. The spray gun, brush and hose
can be stored with the machine.
Drain water from the system and remove the battery.
Clean the filter regularly.
Battery Maintenance
Use the following procedures to enable optimum usage of the battery:
– Protect the battery against moisture and water.
– Store the machine and battery only within a temperature range between –20 °C
and 50 °C . As an example, do not leave the battery in the car in summer.
– It is recommended that the battery is not stored within the product but
stored separately.
– Do not leave the battery in the product in direct sunlight.
– The ideal storage condition for the battery is 5 °C.
– Occasionally clean the venting slots of the battery using a soft, clean and
dry brush.
A significantly reduced working period after charging indicates that the
battery is used and must be replaced.

Transport
The contained lithium-ion batteries are subject to the Dangerous Goods
Legislation requirements. The batteries are suitable for road transport by the
user without further restrictions. When shipping by third parties (e.g.: by
air transport or forwarding agency), special requirements on packaging and
labeling must be observed. For the preparation of the item being shipped,
consulting an expert for hazardous material is required.
Dispatch battery packs only when the housing is undamaged. Tape or mask off
open contacts and pack up the battery in such a manner that it cannot move
around in the
packaging. Please also observe the possibility of more detailed national
regulations.
Disposal
The product, batteries, accessories, and packaging should be sorted for
environmental-friendly recycling.
Do not dispose of the product and batteries/rechargeable batteries into
household waste!
Only for EU countries:
According to the European Guideline 2012/19/EU, products that are no longer
usable, and according to the European Guideline 2006/66/EC, defective or used
battery packs/ batteries must be collected separately and disposed of in an
environmentally correct manner.
