RETROC PROLiNe Coffee Maker - figure 1

BEFORE USING THE APPLIANCE FOR THE FIRST TIME
Carefully unpack the appliance and remove all packaging materials.
Wipe the appliance with a slightly damp cloth. Dry thoroughly.
It is recommended to wash the drip coffee system before first use.
Fill the water tank with cold water and follow the directions for brewing coffee to make at least two carafes of coffee without using ground coffee.
Switch off the coffee maker and allow it to cool before refilling with cold water.

BREWING COFFEE NOW

  1. Place the appliance on a dry, level, and heat-resistant surface, away from any edge.

  2. Open the top cover.

  3. Fill the water tank with the required amount of fresh, cold water using the water level indicator as a guide.
    • The markings on the water tank window indicate the level of water required to brew the desired number of cups.
    • To avoid overflow, do not fill the water tank with water past the max line.

  4. Place the mesh filter into the filter holder, making sure it is assembled correctly.

  5. Place a 1×4 paper filter (not supplied) into the mesh filter.

  6. Add the desired ground coffee in the paper filter by spreading it evenly.
    • It is recommended to use a level spoon of ground coffee (approximately 6g) for every cup of coffee.

  7. Close the top cover until a click is heard.

  8. Slide the carafe into the appliance ensuring it sits correctly on the plate.

  9. Plug the coffee maker into the main socket.

  10. Press the power on/off button to turn on the coffee maker.
    • The indicator light will illuminate, indicating that the appliance is brewing coffee.

  11. The coffee will begin to flow from the filter holder after a short time.
    • During brewing, you can remove the carafe from the warming plate. The brewing process does not stop during this period and only the flow of coffee from the filter holder stops. Do not remove the carafe for longer than 30 seconds or the coffee may overflow the filter holder.
    • Although the coffee maker has the above feature, it is not recommended to pour coffee before the cycle has been completed as doing this may affect the flavor of the coffee.
    • It is normal for the appliance to emit steam while it is brewing coffee.
    • The brewing process can be interrupted at any time by pressing the power on/off button. The red indicator light will go out.

  12. When the brewing process is finished, allow coffee to stop dripping and then remove the carafe to serve.

  13. To keep coffee warm after the brewing process has finished, place the carafe on the warming plate.
    • The appliance is designed to keep the coffee warm for approximately 40 minutes and then the appliance will be turned off automatically.
