TRIPLE FOOT CONTROLLER

Congratulations on your purchase of the Electro-Harmonix Triple Foot Controller! The Triple Foot Controller is a compact, easy-to-use utility pedal providing remote foot-control for devices with external footswitch jacks. It works great with the Electro-Harmonix Grand Canyon® Delay & Looper, 720 Stereo Looper™, Superego+™ Synth Engine, Mod Rex™ Polyrhythmic Modulator, Super Pulsar™ Tremolo, and many other pedals and devices made by both Electro- Harmonix and other manufacturers. The Triple Foot Controller can also be used as an external tap-tempo footswitch for a large variety of pedals.

USING THE TRIPLE FOOT CONTROLLER

Use the supplied Tip-Ring-Sleeve (TRS) cable* to connect the Triple Foot Controller (TFC) to the device you want to control. Attach the cable to the phonejack on the TFC and to the proper jack on the device it controls. We recommend the device be powered down while making the connection.
The Triple Foot Controller has three footswitches. The switch polarity for all three footswitches is normally open (NO). They work as follows:

T – When this switch is pressed down, the Tip and Sleeve are electrically shorted together. If you connect a standard Tip-Sleeve (TS) instrument cable to the TFC, only the T footswitch provides control to the other device.
R – When this switch is pressed down, the Ring and Sleeve on the TRS cable are electrically shorted together.
T+R – When this switch is pressed down, both the Tip and Ring are electrically connected to the Sleeve of the TRS cable. The T+R footswitch simultaneously activates both the Tip and Ring on the TRS cable. When using a TS cable, the T+R footswitch might also activate the T conductor.
Please note: the exact function of each TFC footswitch depends on the device to which it is connected. Please refer to the device’s user manual for more information on the functions assigned to each TFC footswitch.
*Use a standard Tip-Sleeve instrument cable for single footswitch control on the T footswitch. In this scenario, the Triple Foot Controller works great as a TAP footswitch for the Electro-Harmonix Canyon, DMMTT, or other devices.
