GENERAL NOTES

  1. Do not leave the iron unattended while it is connected to the power supply.
  2. Before filling the water tank with water, remove the plug from the socket.
  3. Do not open the water inlet cover during use.
  4. The iron must be used and placed on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface.
  5. When not using the iron always place it vertically on its base on a stable surface.
  6. The iron must not be used if it has been dropped and if there are any signs of damage or leaking.
  7. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a qualified technician in order to avoid any hazard.
  8. The appliance is not intended for use by children or persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given instructions concerning the use of the appliance and they are by a person responsible for their safety.
  9. Children should be supervised to ensure that do not play with the appliance.
  10. This appliance is for household use only and not for professional use. Use iron only for its intended use.
  11. Please check that the voltage of the appliance corresponds to that of the wall’s outlet mains.
  12. To avoid a circuit overload, do not operate another high-wattage appliance on the same circuit.
  13. Do not let the cord to get in touch with hot surfaces. Let the iron cool down completely before storing it.
  14. To protect against the risk of electrical shock, do not immerse the iron in water or other liquids.
  15. In case the iron is passed to a third person, please also pass the manual instructions.
  16. Keep a safe distance from flammable objects such as curtains, fabrics, etc.

USING THE APPLIANCE

FILLING THE WATER

  1. Remove the plug from the wall socket before filling the tank with water.
  2. Set the steam control knob to the ” ” position and open the water inlet cover.
  3. Please fill the tank with water by using the included water beaker to fill with water until the “MAX” filling level.
  4. Push the water inlet cover to close.
  5. Close the water inlet cover and dry any water drops on the housing of the appliance. Do not overfill the water tank.

NOTE: To prolong lifetime please use deionized water.

SETTING THE TEMPERATURE
  1. Place the iron on a vertical position and plug the power cord into the temp
  2. Use the temperature knob to set the iron temperature according to the type of the fabric material. We recommend using the above table as a guide. The temperature light indicates that the soleplate is heating up. When the light turns off it is indicated that the required temperature has been reached.

DRY IRONING

  • For dry ironing, turn the steam control knob to the position”* “. This will cut off the steam flow if there is water is in the water tank.
  • Turn the temperature knob to select the desired fabric/temperature setting and place the iron on a flat and stable place vertically.
  • When the iron reaches the selected temperature, you can start ironing.

SPRAYING FUNCTION

1. Ensure there is enough water in the water tank.
2. Press the spray button to produce a fine spray of water ahead of the iron and continue ironing.

NOTE: Do not spray on silk.

STREAM-IRONING

1. Steam-ironing is only possible at higher ironing temperatures: “• • •” or “MAX”.
2. Ensure that there is enough water in the water tank.
3. Place the iron standing vertically. Insert the plug into the wall socket.
4. Set the temperature knob at the required position within the steam area.
5. When the iron reaches the selected temperature(“•••” or “MAX”), the light turns off and you may start ironing.
6. Turn the steam control knob to the required position.

CAUTION: Never fill the iron with fabric conditioner, starches or any other solution, as these can cause damage to the steam mechanism. Do not use contaminated water. We recommend using distilled or demineralized water.
CAUTION: Do not aim iron towards yourself, or anyone else while using or adjusting steam. Burns or serious injury may occur.
NOTE: If the soleplate temperature is not high enough, steam cannot start. (warning: water may leak off the sole plate)

STRONG STEAM

1. Make sure the water tank is at least 1/:z filled with water.
2. When the iron temperature is set to a steam setting ( • • or • • • or MAX) strong steam can be used.
3. Press the strong steam button, the soleplate will spray out a strong steam.

CAUTION:

• Only use the strong steam button when the steam iron has reached the steam or maximum temperature.
• Do not press this steam button more than 3 times at once. For optimal steam output, leave an interval of at least four seconds.
• The strong steam function can be used with Dry or Steam ironing.

VERTICAL SHOT OF STEAM

1. When the iron temperature is set to steam setting, vertical steam can be used.
2. Simply hold the iron vertically, positioned in front with a slight distance from the item you want to steam, and press the strong steam button.

NOTE: This is especially useful for ironing hanging clothes, curtains, wall hangings etc.

SELF CLEAN FUNCTION

1. Use the self-clean function approximately once every two weeks.
2. Make sure the iron is unplugged from the wall outlet.
3. Set the steam control knob to position N * “.
4. Fill the water tank to the maximum level.
5. Put the plug into the wall socket.
6. Select the maximum ironing temperature.
7. Unplug the iron when the temperature has reached.
8. Hold the iron over a sink, press and hold the self-clean button and gently shake the iron backwards and forwards.
9. Release the self-clean button after 5-lOseconds.
10. Empty the water tank.
11. Repeat the self-clean process if there are still residues on the iron.

NOTE:

  • Steam and boiled water will come out of the soleplate.
  • Do not push and hold the self-clean button while ironing.
  • Remove any labels or protective stickers that may be attached to the housing or the soleplate of the iron before first use.
  • Iron may emerge a little vapour and emit an odor during first use. This will cease after a while. It is safe and will hot affect the operation of the iron.

CLEANING

1. Before cleaning, unplug the iron from the wall socket, let the appliance completely cool down, and then clean with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the unit in water or other liquids.
2. Regularly rinse the water tank with water and empty the water tank after cleaning.
3. Ironing clothes with high temperatures will cause burns to your clothes and leave residues on the soleplate of the unit. It is suggested to iron an old cloth to remove these residues from the soleplate.
4. If you use spray starch, wipe the soleplate occasionally with a soft damp cloth to prevent the build-up of residues.
5. After use, unplug the unit from the main socket, empty any water left in the water tank and store the iron after it has completely cooled down.
6. Never use scouring pads, abrasive or chemical cleaners, or solvents to clean the housing or the soleplate of your iron as this will cause scratches and/or damage the surface.
