IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  1. To protect against electrical shock, do not submerge the appliance or allow the power cord to come into contact with water or any other liquid.
  2. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
  3. Do not allow young children to operate the appliance or use it as a toy.
  4. Never let the appliance operate unattended.
  5. Remove the power cord from the electrical outlet when not in use, before assembling or disassembling parts, and before cleaning. To unplug, grasp the plug and pull from the electrical outlet. Never pull from the power cord.
  6. Do not abuse the power cord. Never carry the appliance by the power cord or yank it to disconnect from the electrical outlet; instead, grasp the plug and pull to disconnect.
  7. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions, has been dropped or damaged in any manner.
  8. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, a certified service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
  9. Do not let the power cord hang over the edge of table or counter or touch hot surfaces such as the stove.
  10. Always use appliances on a dry, level surface. Sinks, drain boards or uneven surfaces must be avoided.
  11. Keep hands, hair, clothing, as well as utensils out of jar while processing to reduce the risk of severe injury to persons or damage to the appliance. A scraper may be used but only when the appliance is not running.
  12. CAUTION: Blade assembly is sharp, handle with care. When handling the blade assembly, always hold by the base of the blade assembly.
  13. Avoid contact with moving parts.
  14. Do not use the appliance if blade assembly is bent or damaged.
  15. Do not operate this appliance on or near any hot surface (such as gas or electric burner or in a heated oven).
  16. The use of attachments or accessories not recommended or sold by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock or personal injury.
  17. Do not remove the jar from the motor base while the appliance is running.
  18. To reduce the risk if injury, never operate the appliance without the blade assembly in place; Do not try to defeat the interlock mechanism; make sure that the attachment is properly installed before operating the appliance.
  19. Do not expose jars to extreme temperature changes.
  20. CAUTION: Do not process hot food or hot liquids.
  21. Do not operate the appliance empty.
  22. If the appliance overheats, a thermal switch will become activated and shut off the motor. To reset, unplug the appliance and let it cool down for approximately 30 minutes before using it again.This product is intended for household use only. Do not use outdoors.
  23. Appliance accessories are not intended to be used in the microwave. Do not place the jar or the lid in the microwave as it may result in damage to the accessories.
  24. Always unplug the appliance before you start cleaning the appliance.
  25. Make sure the blade is securely fastened to the accessories before you assemble them onto the motor unit.
  26. WARNING: Extension cords are not recommended for use with this product.
  27. The unit is equipped with an interlock mechanism to prevent the unit from operating without the sport bottle in place. The interlock is a small plastic piece that is pushed down when the sport bottle is screwed into place. NEVER attempt to defeat or override the interlock mechanism.

Set-up instructions

This product is intended for household use only. Always unplug the motor base unit from the outlet
before putting on or off parts.
Please read and follow all instructions before use:

  1. Remove any labels, packaging materials, or literature that may be attached or placed inside the container or the motor base.

  2. Hand-wash the sport bottle and blade assembly with warm water, rinse thoroughly, and let dry. DO NOT IMMERSE the motor base in any liquid. The blade assembly can be detached from the sports bottle for cleaning.
    CAUTION: The blades are sharp, handle carefully.

  3. The appliance should only be placed and used on a stable, dry surface.

  4. The appliance should be plugged into 220-240VAC, 50Hz outlet.

  5. The length of the provided cord was selected to reduce the risk of tangling or tripping. Use of extension cords is not recommended.

  6. Do not use the appliance under these conditions:
    – The cord/plug is damaged
    – The motor base is (or has been) immersed in water.
    – The appliance, or any individual part has been dropped or damaged in any way.

Operating Instructions

  1. Open the sports bottle lid and put your ingredients inside. Do not overload the container. The maximum load is 16 oz. Liquid (approx. 500ml) and solid ingredients combined should never exceed 500ml marking on the sport bottle.
  2. Fully tighten sports bottle lid. Do not operate the unit without the sport bottle lid in place Align the bottle tab keys to the motor’s base slots. Rotate the bottle counter-clockwise to lock it in place.
  3. Plugin the unit
  4. Firmly grasp the bottle with one hand, and the motor base with the other. Press the button switch to operate. Do not operate longer than 20 seconds at a time to prevent overheating. It is suggested that 3 periods of 20 seconds, with a 10-second pause between, should be sufficient for mixing your ingredients.
  5. Wait for the appliance to come to a complete stop before removing the bottle. The sport bottle is removed from the base by rotating the bottle clockwise.
  6. Always wait till the unit comes to a complete stop before removing the lid or adding additional ingredients (ice, water, mixes, or fruit).

Care and Cleaning

  1. Always unplug the motor base unit for the outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning. To unplug, grasp the plug and pull from the electrical outlet. Never pull the cord.
  2. Cleaning should be done as soon as possible after each use.
  3. The sport bottle should always be removed from the base when cleaning.
  4. Before cleaning the sport bottle, empty the container of excess liquid or food.
  5. Add a small amount of water to the bottle and close the cap. Place the bottle on the motor base and align to place. Run the motor for a short duration (repeat if necessary).
  6. For stubborn stains or food that has got stuck near the blade, the following steps may be necessary: After removing the sport bottle from the base, carefully insert a small cleaning brush into the container. Never insert fingers near the blade assembly. Small amounts of mild detergent can be used.
  7. Never use harsh or abrasive cleansers on the container, container cap, or motor base.
  8. To clean the motor base: Make sure the unit is unplugged. Use a damp cloth with mild detergent. Never immerse the motor base in water or liquid.
  9. The sport bottle should never be stored for long periods of time with liquid. Although the steel blades are stainless, some discoloration may occur with acidic foods and liquids.

This warranty period begins on the day the product is purchased or delivered. Champion Nordic has no obligation to repair or replace products that are not accompanied by valid proof of purchase. This warranty applies only to pro- ducts purchased and used for home use and do not cover damage resulting from abuse, failure to comply with the instructions from Champion Nordic, cases in which the product has been modified or subjected to unauthorized repair, improper packaging on the part of the owner, normal wear and tear, or improper handling on the part of a transport company.
