GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

1. Read the operating instructions carefully before putting the appliance into operation and
   keep the instructions, including the warranty, the receipt and, if possible, the box with the
   internal packing.

2. This appliance is intended to be used in households and similar applications such as:

   • staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments;
   • by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;
   • bed and breakfast type environments

3. This appliance is not fit for commercial use.

4. Do not use it outdoors.

5.  Keep it away from sources of heat, direct sunlight and humidity.

6. Never immerse it into any liquid.

7. Do not use the appliance with wet hands. If the appliance is humid or wet, unplug it immediately.

8. When cleaning or putting it away, switch off the appliance and always pull out the plug from the socket (pull on the plug, not the cable) if the appliance is not being used.

9. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. Never leave the appliance unsupervised. To protect children from the dangers posed by electrical appliance, make sure that the cable is hanging high and that children do not have access to the appliance.

10. Check the appliance and the cable for damage on a regular basis. Do not use the appliance if it is damaged.

11. Do not try to repair the appliance on your own. Always contact an authorized technician. To avoid the exposure to danger, always have a faulty cable be replaced only by the manufacturer, by our customer service or by a qualified person and with a cable of the same type.

12. Use only original spare parts.

SPECIAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

1. Use only cold water when filling.
2. The water level must be between the MAX. and MIN. marks! If the kettle is overfilled, boiling water may be ejected, which might arise a hazard to the user.
3. CAUTION: Ensure that the kettle is switched off before removing it from its stand.
4. The kettle is only to be used with the stand provided.
5. The appliance must not be immersed into any liquids.
6. The appliance is for household only.
7. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
8. Always ensure that the lid is tightly closed.
9. The base and exterior of the machine must not become wet.
10. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

OVERHEATING SAFEGUARD

The kettle is fitted with an overheating safeguard. This will switch off the jug kettle if it is operated without (sufficient) water. Allow the jug kettle to cool down for at least 10 minutes before using it again.

USE

Before first use

Before using for the first time, boil fresh water at least twice in the appliance. Use only water without
any additives or ingredients.

1. Place the machine on a flat surface.
2. Press the lid opening button to open the lid. The lid opens partially when user hold on the button. By releasing the lid opening button, the lid will open completely.
3. Fill with water. The water level can be read off using the water level indicator on the kettle. Do not overfill the kettle.
4. Place the kettle flush on the base.
5. Switch the kettle on with the switch in the handle bottom. The working light turns on.
6. The kettle switches off automatically when the water has boiled.
7. After using, dis¬connect the kettle from the mains power supply.
8. Always hold the lid closed when pouring the water out. Beware of scalding!

FUNCTION INSTRUCTIONS

Boiling function

1. When the power is on, indicator light and working light flash once at the same time, and buzzer rings twice for reminder.
2. Press on/off button (Notice: it enters into the 100 ℃ boiling mode directly, and buzzer rings once for reminder), and the working light is on (Notice: the indicator light is in off), then it starts to boil. When the water is boiled to 100 ℃, buzzer rings twice for reminder and the wor king light turns off.
3. Press the selection button, and there are four (50, 70, 80, 90 ℃) temperature levels. After selecting the temperature level (Notice: indicator light will turn on accordingly when you select the temperature level, each time you press the button the buzzer will ring once), and press on/off button second time, working light turns on and the kettle starts boiling. When water reaches the setting temperature, the working light will turn off and the buzzer will ring twice for reminder. (Notice: standby for one minute then the indicator light  turns off.)

Keep-warm function

1. When the power is on, indicator light and working light flash once at the same time, and buzzer rings twice for reminder.
2. Press the selection button, and there are four (50, 70, 80, 90 ℃) temperature levels. After selecting the temperature level (Notice: indicator light will turn on accordingly when you select the temperature level, each time you press the button the buzzer will ring once), press power button and hold for 2-3 seconds, indicator light flash and working light turns on, then the kettle enters into keep-warm mode. When the water is boiled to the settled temperature, buzzer rings twice for reminder. After 30 minutes of keeping warm, indicator light and working light will turn off at the same time.
3. Press on/off button to turn the appliance off.

CLEANING

• Always pull out the plug from the socket before cleaning!
• The exterior of the machine should be cleaned, if necessary, with a slightly damp cloth without additives.

Decalcification

• The frequency of the decalcifying operation depends on the hardness of the water and on how often the appliance is used. If the machine switches off before the water boils, it probably needs to be decalcified.
• Please do not use vinegar but a commercially available decalcification agent on the basis of citric acid. Only use the quantities stated in the instructions.

 This marking indicates that this product should not be disposed with other household wastes throughout the EU. To prevent possible harm to the environment or human health from uncontrolled waste disposal, recycle it responsibly to promote the sustainable reuse of material resources.
