Safety Notes

  • The product is intended for private, non-commercial use only.
  • Use the product for its intended purpose only.
  • Protect the product from dirt, moisture, and overheating, and only use it in an adry environment.
  • Do not drop the product and do not expose it to any major shocks.
  • Do not operate the product outside the power limits given in the specifications.
  • Keep this product, like all electrical products, out of the reach of children!
  • Dispose of packaging material immediately according to locally applicable regulations.
  • Do not modify the product in any way. Doing so voids the warranty.

Warning

  • Only connect the product to a socket that has been approved for the device. The socket must be installed close to the product and easily accessible.
  • Only use batteries (or rechargeable batteries) that match the specified type.
  • To avoid damaging the device and to prevent injuries due to short circuits, do not let the product come into contact with rain, moisture, or other liquids.

Risk of electric shock

  • Do not open the product. Do not continue to operate the product if it is damaged, which may be indicated by smoke, odor, or loud noises. Immediately contact your dealer or our service department (see item “Service and Support”).
  • Lay all cables so that they do not pose a tripping hazard.
  • The rechargeable battery may only be replaced by an authorized technician.

Proper use

  • This energy cost meter allows you to measure the energy consumption of your electronic devices.
  • In addition to the current power and measured energy amount, the energy cost meter can also display the mains voltage, current strength, mains frequency, and power factor.
  • The values of the energy cost meter arenot a suitable basis for the calculation of power costs for billing purposes.

Starting up/entering the electricity price (euro/kWh)

Note

  • If the energy cost meter cannot be started, then press the reset button (5) for a few seconds.
  • The rechargeable battery is charged during operation.
  • The internal rechargeable battery will discharge if the timer switch is not used for longer periods of time. Plug the energy cost meter into a mains plug for approx. 24 hours every 3months to charge the internal rechargeable battery.

Press the FUNC button to view the following displays in succession:

  • voltage: mains voltage, mains frequency, and time
  • are displayed
  • AMP: current, power factor, and time are displayed
  • WATT: output, power factor, and time are displayed
  • WATT max: maximum output is displayed
  • kWh: kWh consumed, power factor, and time is displayed
  • TOTAL PRICE; TOTAL ON TIME: total price and usage duration are displayed
  • PRICE1: Price 1isdisplayed only if the value in cents / kWh has already been entered for PRICE 1
  • PRICE2: Price 2isonly displayed if the value in cents / kWh has already been entered for PRICE 2

5.1 Setting the time

  • Press the FUNC button until CLOCK is shown in the display.
  • Press the SET button and use the UP button to set the day of the week.
  • Press the SET button and use the UP button to set the hour.
  • Press the SET button and use the UP button to set the minutes.
  • Press the SET button to save your settings.
  • Press the UP button to choose between 12-h and 24-h modes.

5.2 Setting price
If you have two different electricity prices with your electricity provider (e.g. normal tariff and night tariff), you can set both on the energy cost meter and also the period (day /of the week and time) for which the respective tariff applies. If you only have one electricity price that applies around the clock, you only need to enter the electricity costs for price 1. The days of the week, the time, and the dates for price 2should then be left blank.

  • Press and hold the FUNC button for a few seconds until COST/Kwh is shown in the display.
  • Press the SET button to set Price 1. Use the SET button to select the digit you would like to enter.
  • Enter the required value using the UP button.
  • Press the SET button and use the UP button to set the corresponding days of the week.
  • Press the SET button and use the UP button to set the corresponding time.
  • Press the SET button to save your settings.
  • After setting Price 1, press the FUNC button to set Price 2.
  • If you only have one electricity price, do not enter any values for price 2
  • Then repeat the steps described above
  • After setting Price 2, press the FUNC button to set the maximum overload value.
  • Press the SET button and then select the digit you would like to enter.
  • Enter the required value using the UP button.
  • Press the SET button to save your setting.
  • Press and hold the FUNC button for a few seconds to return to the standard display.

Measurement

Note

  • Precise measurement results even for small appliances.
  • The voltage and power draw of the connected devices may not exceed 230 Vand 3680 W.
  • Note the information specified on the nameplate(s) of the connected device(s).
  • If you connect an electrical appliance that draws more than 3680 W, then the display shows

OVERLOAD.

  • It is advisable to measure the power consumption of a device for an extended period of time and then calculate its annual consumption.
  • Plug the energy cost meter into a conventional mains socket.
  • Plug the electrical device to be measured or its mains plug into the socket on the energy cost meter. The consumption measurement commences automatically.
  • Press the FUNC button to change the display mode.
  • Unplug the electrical device from the energy cost meter or the energy cost meter from the main socket to end the measurement. socket to end the measurement.

Resetting the meter

Note

  • Resetting the device reverts it to the factory settings.
  • All of the data stored on the device are deleted.
  • Aresetmay is necessary if the device no longer reacts or if you wish to delete the stored data.
  • To reset the energy cost meter, use the appointed object to press the Reset button (5).

  • Only clean this product with a slightly damp, lint-free cloth and do not use aggressive cleaning agents.
    • Make surethat water does not get into the product.
