Safety Notes

| Warning – Batteries

- When inserting batteries, note the correct polarity (+ and – markings) and insert the batteries accordingly. Failure to do so could result in the batteries leaking or exploding.
- Only use batteries (or rechargeable batteries) that match the specified type.
- Before you insert the batteries, clean the battery contacts and the polar contacts.
- Do not allow children to change batteries without supervision.
- Do not mix old and new batteries or batteries of a different type or make.
- Remove the batteries from products that are not being used for an extended period (unless these are being kept ready for an emergency).
- Do not short-circuit batteries.
- Do not charge batteries.
- Do not throw batteries in a fire.
- Keep batteries out of the reach of children.
- Never open, damage or swallow batteries or allow them to enter the environment. They can contain toxic, environmentally harmful heavy metals.
- Immediately remove and dispose of dead batteries from the product.
- Avoid storing, charging or using the device in extreme temperatures and extremely low atmospheric pressure (for example, at high altitudes).
Getting Started
- To open the battery compartment, press the edge of the battery compartment lid upwards gently by the groove on the underside of the alarm clock.
- Remove the battery that was already inserted into the clock, remove the protective film if necessary as well as the contact interrupter and the re-insert the battery with the correct polarity.
Operation
Press the LIGHT/SNOOZE button to light up the display.
Setting the time
- Turn the setting wheel on the back in the direction indicated by the arrow to set the current time (hours/minutes).
- To set the seconds, remove the battery to stop the seconds. Put the battery back in to start the seconds hand again at the right second.
Alarm
- Move the setting wheel on the back of the alarm clock in the direction of the arrow to set the appropriate alarm time. The hand for the alarm time moves in an anticlockwise direction.
- Pull the sliding switch on the back outward or up to enable the alarm. When the alarm is enabled, a coloured bar is visible from the front.
- When the alarm time is reached, the alarm tone sounds, getting progressively louder.
- Press the sliding switch down , to shut off and disable the alarm.

While the alarm signal is sounding, press the LIGHT/SNOOZE button to
activate the snooze function. The alarm signal will be stopped for 5 minutes,
after which it will sound again.
