WARNING
Read all warnings and instructions in this manual before installing this equipment. Failure to follow all warnings and instructions may result in serious personal injury or serious illness, including blindness or death.
The package should include the following:

  • Fendall 2000 Heated Accessory
  • Mounting bracket with insulation
  • Installation Manual
  • Warranty Card

NOTE: Mounting hardware is needed to secure the bracket to the wall or stand (screws, bolts, anchors, etc.); not included

  1. Inspect the Heated Accessory to ensure it is in good shape (no rips or tears in fabric).
  2. Follow steps 1 – 3 in the section “B – Unit Installation” in the manual that came with your Fendall 2000 unit but uses the bracket provided with the Heated Accessory instead.
  3. Hang the Heated Accessory from the bracket opening located on the back. Open up the Heated Accessory by unzipping the zipper on the left side of the unit and opening the top and bottom flaps. Replace insulation onto the bracket. (Fig. 1)
  4. Hang the Fendall 2000 unit on the bracket as instructed by steps 4 – 6 in the section “B – Unit Installation” in the manual that came with your Fendall 2000 unit.
  5. Follow steps 1 – 9 of the manual, “Fendall 2000™ Cartridge Quick Installation”, that came with your cartridge.
  6. Close up the Heated Accessory by zipping it up, snap buttons, and securing the Velcro™ on everything besides the front door. (Fig. 2)
  7. Open the door and pull the headrest towards you.
  8. Pull the headrest forward and then pull out the nozzle from the basin. Slide the nozzle into the nozzle compartment, making sure the tube is not twisted and that the small locking hub of the wire tie is facing towards the inside of the unit. Push the headrest back to its original position until an audible ‘click’ is heard.
  9. Place the inner strap of the Heated Accessory’s door over the unit door but hold it towards the top to ensure that the strap will not interfere with the nozzle snapping into the unit’s door. (Fig. 3)
  10. Close the unit and the Heated Accessory door while holding the inner strap until an audible ‘click’ is heard. Firmly close the door by making sure the Velcro™ around the door is fully secured. Also, make sure to tuck the top of the Front Door under the Top Flap.
  11. Plug the unit into a power source (there is a GFCI built-in for your safety and convenience). Push the reset button on the GFCI to re-enable the circuit.

Monthly Inspection

This is to perform the required Monthly Maintenance Check on the Fendall 2000™ with Heated Accessory.

  1. Unplug the Heated Accessory.
  2. Open the front access panel in the center of the front door. (Fig. 4)
  3. Use a screwdriver or pen to push on the release button.
  4. While the button is pressed in, gently pull the door open (there should be no resistance, other than the Velcro™).
  5. Push the blue button and hold for 3 seconds until a beep is heard to disarm the alarm. NOTE: Short beep once every 10 seconds indicates a low battery.
  6. Inspect the nozzle for correct attachment, and hose for possible kinking. Re-position if needed. NOTE: Be sure the nozzle seal is intact.
  7. Unzip the Heated Accessory to check the Cartridge Expiration date through the window on the eyewash station. Check the bellows to make sure that it is not in the deployed position and that the cartridge has not been activated. Replace the cartridge if expired or been activated.
  8. Zip up the Heated Accessory and follow steps 9 – 11 on page 1.

CAUTION
If power is lost for any amount of time, the GFCI will need to be manually reset for the Heated Accessory to function.
