PRECAUTIONS TO AVOID POSSIBLE EXPOSURE TO EXCESSIVE MICROWAVE ENERGY

• Do not attempt to operate this oven with the door open since this can result in harmful exposure to microwave energy. It is important not to break or tamper with the safety interlocks.
• Do not place any object between the oven front face and the door or allow spatter/matter or cleaner residue to accumulate on sealing surfaces.
• WARNING: If the door or door seals are damaged, the oven must not be operated until it has been repaired by a competent person.

ADDENDUM
If the apparatus is not maintained in a good state of cleanliness, its surface could be degraded and affect the lifespan of the apparatus and lead to a dangerous situation.

WARNING

To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, injury to persons or exposure to excessive microwave oven energy when using your appliance, follow basic precautions, including the following:

• Read and follow the specific: “PRECAUTIONS TO AVOID POSSIBLE EXPOSURE TO EXCESSIVE MICROWAVE ENERGY”.

• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard. (For appliance with type Y attachment)

• WARNING: Ensure that the appliance is switched off before replacing the lamp to avoid the possibility of electric shock.

• WARNING: It is hazardous for anyone other than an authorised repairer/technician to carry out any service or repair operation that involves the removal of a cover which gives protection against exposure to microwave energy.

• WARNING: Liquids and other foods must not be heated in sealed containers since they are liable to explode.

• Do not heat food in plastic or paper containers, due to the possibility of ignition.

• Only use utensils that are suitable for use in microwave ovens.

• If smoke is emitted, switch off or unplug the appliance and keep the door closed in order to stifle any flames.

• Microwave heating of beverages can result in delayed eruptive boiling, therefore care must be taken when handling the container.

• The contents of feeding bottles and baby food jars shall be stirred or shaken and the temperature checked before consumption, in order to avoid burns.

• Eggs in their shell and whole hard-boiled eggs should not be heated in microwave ovens since they may explode, even after microwave heating has ended.

• The oven should be cleaned regularly and any food deposits removed.

• Failure to maintain the oven in a clean condition could lead to deterioration of the surface that could adversely affect the life of the appliance and possibly result in a hazardous situation.

• Only use the temperature probe recommended for this oven. (For ovens provided with a facility to use a temperature-sensing probe.)

• The microwave oven shall not be operated in a closed cabinet.

• This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:

  • staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments;
  • farm houses;
  • by clients in hotels, motels and other residential environments;
  •  bed and breakfast type environments
    It is not suitable for commercial or laboratory use.

• The microwave oven is intended for heating food and beverages. Drying of food or clothing and heating of warming pads, slippers, sponges, damp cloth and similar may lead to risk of injury, ignition or fire.

• Metallic containers for food and beverages are not allowed during microwave cooking.

• The appliance shall not be cleaned with a steam cleaner.

• The appliance is intended to be used freestanding.

• The rear surface of appliances shall be placed against a wall.

• Do not operate this oven by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.

To Reduce the Risk of Injury to Persons Grounding Installation

DANGER

ELECTRIC SHOCK HAZARD
Touching some of the internal components can cause serious personal injury or death. Do not disassemble this appliance.

WARNING

ELECTRIC SHOCK HAZARD
Improper use of the grounding can result in electric shock.
Do not plug into an outlet until appliance is properly installed and grounded.
This appliance must be grounded. In the event of an electrical short circuit, grounding reduces the risk of electric shock by providing an escape wire for the electric current.
This appliance is equipped with a cord having a grounding wire with a grounding plug. The plug must be plugged into an outlet that is properly installed and grounded.
Consult a qualified electrician or serviceman if the grounding instructions are not completely understood or if doubt exists as to whether the appliance is properly grounded.

CLEANING

BE SURE TO UNPLUG THE APPLIANCE FROM THE POWER SUPPLY.

1. Clean the cavity of the oven after using with a slightly damp cloth.
2. Clean the accessories in the usual way in soapy water.
3. The door frame and seal and neighbouring parts must be cleaned carefully with a damp cloth when they are dirty.
4. Do not use harsh abrasive cleaners or sharp metal scrapers to clean the oven door glass since they can scratch the surface, which may result in shattering of the glass.
5. Cleaning Tip: For easier cleaning of the cavity walls that the food cooked can touch: Place half a lemon in a bowl, add 300ml (1/2 pint) water and heat on 100% microwave power for 10 minutes. Wipe the oven clean using a soft, dry cloth.

UTENSILS CAUTION

See the instructions on “Materials you can use in microwave oven or to be avoided in microwave oven.” There may be certain non-metallic utensil/container that are not safe to use for microwaving. If in doubt, you can test the utensil/container in question following the procedure below.

UTENSILS TEST

1. Fill a microwave-safe container with 1 cup of cold water (250ml) along with the utensil/container in question.
2. Cook on maximum power for 1 minute.
3. Carefully feel the utensil. If the empty utensil/container is warm, do not use it for microwave cooking.
4. Do not exceed 1 minute cooking time.

MATERIALS YOU CAN USE IN MICROWAVE OVEN

Browning dish                Follow manufacturer’s instructions. The bottom of browning dish must be at least 3/16 inch (5mm) above the turntable. Incorrect usage may cause                                             the turntable to break.
Dinnerware                     Microwave-safe only. Follow manufacturer’s instructions. Do not use cracked or chipped dishes.
Glass jars                         Always remove lid. Use only to heat food until just warm. Most glass jars are not heat resistant and may break.
Glassware                        Heat-resistant oven glassware only. Make sure there is no metallic trim. Do not use cracked or chipped dishes.
Oven cooking bags          Follow manufacturer’s instructions. Do not close with metal tie. Make slits to allow steam to escape.
Paper plates and cups       Use for short–term cooking/warming only. Do not leave oven unattended while cooking.
Paper towels                     Use to cover food for reheating and absorbing fat. Use with supervision for a short-term cooking only.
Parchment paper              Use as a cover to prevent splattering or a wrap for steaming.
Plastic                               Microwave-safe only. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions. Should be labeled “Microwave Safe”. Some plastic containers soften, as the food inside gets hot. “Boiling bags” and tightly closed plastic bags should be slit, pierced or vented as directed by package.
Plastic wrap                      Microwave-safe only. Use to cover food during cooking to retain moisture. Do not allow plastic wrap to touch food.
Thermometers                 Microwave-safe only (meat and candy thermometers).
Wax paper                        Use as a cover to prevent splattering and retain moisture.

SETTING UP YOUR OVEN

NAMES OF OVEN PARTS AND ACCESSORIES

Remove the oven and all materials from the carton and oven cavity.

Your oven comes with the following accessories:
Glass tray 1

TURNTABLE INSTALLATION

a. Never place the glass tray upside down. The glass tray should never be restricted.
b. Both glass tray and turntable ring assembly must always be used during cooking.
c. All food and containers of food are always placed on the glass tray for cooking.
d. If glass tray or turntable ring assembly cracks or breaks, contact your nearest authorized service center.

COUNTERTOP INSTALLATION

Remove all packing material and accessories. Examine the oven for any damage such as dents or broken door. Do not install if oven is damaged.
Cabinet: Remove any protective film found on the microwave oven cabinet surface.
Do not remove the light brown Mica cover that is attached to the oven cavity to protect the magnetron.

INSTALLATION

1. Select a level surface that provides enough open space for the intake and/or outlet vents.Operation of microwave oven may cause interference to your radio or TV reception.
2. Plug your oven into a standard household outlet. Be sure the voltage and the frequency is the same as the voltage and the frequency on the rating label.
   • The minimum installation height is 85cm.
   • The rear surface of appliance should be placed against a wall.
   • Leave a minimum clearance of 30cm above the oven, a minimum clearance of 20cm is required between the oven and any adjacent walls.
   • Do not remove the legs from the bottom of the oven.
   • Blocking the intake and/ or outlet openings can damage the oven.
   • Place the oven as far away from radios and TV as possible.

WARNING:
Do not install oven over a range cooktop or other heat-producing appliance. If installed near or over a heat source, the oven could be damaged and the warranty would be void.

OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS

CLOCK SETTING

1. In standby state, press “CLOCK” to display “00:00”, hour high flashing, “:” and other “0” always bright.

2. Press the number keys and enter the current time. For example, time is 12:10 now, please press “1,2,1,0” in turn.

3. Press “CLOCK” to finish clock setting. “:” will flash and the clock will be lit.
   If the input numbers are not within the range of 1:00–12:59, the setting will be invalid.

4. If the clock needs to be reset, please repeat step 1 to step 3. If step 3 is not confirmed by pressing the “CLOCK” key, the originally set clock is restored after 1 minute or after pressing the “STOP/CANCEL” key.

Note:

• If the clock is not set immediately after initial power-up, the screen will display “0:00” until the time has been manually set.
• During the process of clock setting, if the “STOP/CANCEL” key is pressed or if there is no operation within 1 minute, the oven will exit the setting state and the setting is invalid.

KITCHEN TIMER

1. Press “KITCHEN TIMER” once, LED will display “00:00”.
2. Press the number buttons and enter the correct time (the maximum cooking time is 99 minutes and 99 seconds).
3. Press “START/+30SEC.” to confirm setting.
4. When the kitchen timer has completed the countdown, the buzzer will ring before returning to the standby state.

Note:

• The kitchen timer is different from the 12-hour clock, the kitchen timer is a timer.
• When the kitchen timer is in use, no additional program can be set.

MICROWAVE COOKING

Select different microwave power levels and cooking times as you wish. There are multiple power levels available. Press the number buttons to choose the power. The default power level is 100% power. The maximum cooking time is 99 minutes and 99 seconds.
Example: If you want to use 50% microwave power to cook for 15 minutes, you can operate the oven as the following steps:

1. Press “TIME COOK” once, the oven will display “00:00”.
2. Press “1”, “5”, “0”, “0” in order.
3. Press “POWER” once, then press “5” to select 50% microwave power.
4. Press “START/+30SEC.” to start cooking. During cooking or when cooking is paused, the screen will display the remaining cooking time.

Note:

• When setting the power level and cooking time, if you press “STOP/CANCEL” or if no operation in 1 minute, the oven will go back to the previous status automatically.
• If “PL0” is selected, the fan will work using 0% microwave energy.
• During cooking, press “POWER” to change the microwave power level. The current power will flash for 3 seconds and you can change the microwave power level. The selected power level will be set for the remainder of the cooking time.

SPEEDY COOKING

1. In the standby state, cook on 100% microwave power by pressing the number buttons 1 to 6 to set a cooking time between 1 to 6 minutes, then press “START/+30SEC.” to start cooking. Press “START/+30SEC.” to increase the cooking time; the maximum cooking time is 99 minutes and 99 seconds.
2. When the oven is in the standby state, press the “START/+30SEC.” button to start cooking on full microwave power for 30 seconds. Keep pressing “START/+30SEC.” to increase the cooking time by 30 second increments (the maximum setting is 99 minutes and 99 seconds).

Note: During microwave cooking and time defrost, the cooking time can be increased in 30 second increments by pressing the “START/+30SEC.” button.

DEFROST BY WEIGHT

1. Press “ WEIGHT DEFROST” once, the oven will display “dEF1”.
2. Input the weight of the food (weight should be within 100–2000g).
3. Press the “START/+30SEC.” button to start defrosting.

DEFROST BY TIME

1. Press “TIME DEFROST” once, the oven will display “dEF2”.
2. Input the cooking time (the maximum cooking time is 99 minutes and 99 seconds).
3. The default microwave power for defrosting by time is “PL3” To change the power level, press “POWER” once, the oven will display “PL3”, then press a number button to select the microwave power.
4. Press the “START/+30SEC.” button to start defrosting.

AUTO MENU COOKING

Example: Cooking 350g of frozen vegetables:

1. Press “FROZEN VEGETABLE” twice, the oven will display “350”.
2. Press the “START/+30SEC.” button to start cooking.

MEMORY FUNCTION

1. Press the “0/MEMORY” button to choose the memory “1”, “2” or “3” program, and the oven will display “1”, “2” or “3”.
2. If the program has been set, press “START/+30SEC.” to start cooking. If no program has been set, continue to set the program.
3. After you have set a memory program, press “START/+30SEC.” once to save the program and the display will return to the standby state. Press “START/+30SEC.” again to start cooking.

Example: To set the memory 2 program to cook the food for 3 minutes and 20 seconds on 80% microwave power, the steps are as follows:

1. In the standby state, press “0/MEMORY” twice, the oven will display “2”.
2. Press “TIME COOK” once, then press “3”, “2”, “0” in order.
3. Press “POWER” once, then press “8” and the oven will display “PL8”.
4. Press “START/+30SEC.” twice to save the program and start cooking.
5. To start the program from the standby state, press “0/MEMORY” twice, then press “START/+30SEC.” to start cooking.

Note:

• Only one or two stages can be set as a memory program.
• After interruption to the electricity supply, all Memory programs will need to be re-entered.

MULTI-STAGE COOKING

Two stages of cooking can be set. If one of the stages is defrosting, it should be put in the first stage automatically.
Example: If you want to cook food for 5 minutes on 80% microwave power + 10 minutes on 60% microwave power, do it as the following:

1. Press “TIME COOK” one, then press “5”, “0”, “0”, to set the cooking time.
2. Press “POWER” once, then press “8” to select 80% microwave power.
3. Press “TIME COOK” once, then press “1”, “0”, “0”, “0” to set the cooking time.
4. Press “POWER” once, then press “6” to select 60% microwave power.
5. Press “START/+30SEC.” to start cooking.

Note: Auto cooking menus cannot be set as one stage of multi-stage cooking.

INQUIRING FUNCTION

1. To check the time during cooking, press “CLOCK”, the clock time will flash for three seconds.
2. To check the microwave power during cooking, press “POWER”, the current microwave power will be displayed for three seconds before return to the previous state.

CHILD LOCK

LOCK:
In the standby state, press “STOP/CANCEL” for 3 seconds, there will be a long beep and the oven will display “ ”.
UNLOCK:
In the locked state, press “STOP/CANCEL” for 3 seconds, there will be a long beep when the oven returns to the standby state.

SPECIFICATIONS

• The oven will beep 5 times to let you know that cooking is complete.
• In the standby state, if the clock is set, the screen will display the time and “:” will flash. If the clock is not set, the screen will display “0:00”.
• In the function setting state, the screen will display the corresponding setting.
• During cooking or when cooking has been paused, the screen will display the remaining cooking time.

TROUBLE SHOOTING

Normal

Microwave oven interfering with TV reception
Radio and TV reception may be interfered with when the microwave oven is operating. It is similar to the interference of small electrical appliances, like a mixer, vacuum cleaner, and electric fan. It is normal.

Dim oven light
In low power microwave cooking, the oven light may become dim. It is normal.

Steam accumulating on door, hot air out of vents
In cooking, food can release steam. Most escape from vents, but some may accumulate on a cool place like the oven door. It is normal.

Oven started accidentally with no food in
Do not run the unit without any food inside.

Trouble
Oven cannot be started
