PART 2 INITIAL INSTALLATION
Press the button to the right of the filter to release it.
Pull the old filter straight out and discard.

The filter releases a water valve that lets water flow through the filter.
To condition, the filter system, run water through the dispenser for
approximately 3 minutes before use.
PART 3 POINTS FOR ATTENTION
Tips:
Flush 4 gallons (15.142 liters) of water before using the filter.
Replace filter every 3-6 months or 300 gallons to maximize contaminant
reduction.
IMPORTANT:
The filter should be changed at least every 3-6 months.
Air trapped in the system may cause water and cartridge to eject. Use caution
when removing.
The condition of water and the amount used determines the life span of the
water filter cartridge. If water use is high, or if water is of poor quality,
replacement may need to take place more often.
Air trapped in the system may cause water and cartridge to eject. Use caution
when removing.
To reduce the risk associated with choking, do not allow children under 3
years of age to have access to small parts during the installation of this

NOTICE
To reduce the risk associated with property damage due to water leakage:
- Read and follow use instructions before installation and use of this system.
- Installation and use must comply with all state and local plumbing codes.
- Do not install if water pressure exceeds 100 psi (6.8 bar) If your water pressure exceeds 60 psi (4.1 bar), you must install a pressure-limiting valve. Contact a plumbing professional if you are uncertain how to check your water pressure.
- Water hammer conditions exist you must install a water hammer arrester. Contact a plumbing professional if you are uncertain how to check for this condition.
- Do not install on hot water supply lines. The maximum operating water temperature of this filter system is 100º F (38º C).
- Protect filter from freezing. Drain filter when temperatures drop below 33ºF (0.6ºC).
- The disposable filter cartridge should be replaced every 3-6 months at the rated capacity, or sooner if a noticeable reduction in flow rate occurs.
PART 5 FQAS
Q: The water is coming out dirty/gray after I installed the filter. Is this
normal?
A: Yes that is normal. There is a carbon block inside the filter and sometimes
during shipping, the filter gets knocked around and some of that carbon gets
loose. If you drain 2-3 gallons, the water will become clear.
Q: After installing a new filter element, the water flow rate is slower.
What should I do?
A: Don’t worry, the filtered water is cleaner. We use activated carbon from Sri
Lanka. The carbon rod is a honeycomb hole of uniform size, which can better
intercept the particles in the water.
