• Indoor measurement ranges: 0°C (32°F) – 50°C (122°F)
• Outdoor measurement ranges: -19.9°C (-3.8°F) – 59.9°C (139.8°F)
• Display Hi/Lo Outdoor Temperature Hygrometer: measurement range: 20% – 95%
RH. Separate display of indoor use.
LED back light display (auto off after 5 seconds). Battery: 2xAAA for sensor/
3xAAA for receiver (not included).
Transmitter frequency: 433.92 MHz. The range of transmission Is up to 60 m
(200 feet).
3. INITIAL OPERATION
Obstacles can severely impair transmission. We recommend a minimum distance of
2.5 meters to all sources of interference, such as televisions or computer
monitors
Radio-receiving is weaker in rooms with concrete walls (e.g.: in cellars) and
in offices. In such extreme circumstances, place the sensor unit close to the
window. Protect the transmitter against any direct sunlight.
First use:
Open the battery compartment on the rear side of the outdoor remote sensor and
insert the batteries (2xAAA). Pay attention to observing the correct polarity.
Close the battery compartment
Open the battery compartment on the rear side of the receiver and insert the
batteries (3xAAA). Pay attention to observing the correct polarity. Close the
battery compartment. When you insert the batteries, all the icons on the LCD
display will briefly light up for 3 seconds, and you will hear a beep tone,
and detect indoor temperature & humidity. The receiver will now start to make
a connection to the outdoor remote sensor. This operation takes about 3
minutes and is displayed by a flashing reception RF antenna symbol in the
“OUTDOOR” display area on the receiver. After the receiver has created a
connection to the outdoor remote sensor, it will enter the clock mode.
Backlight
Briefly press the SNOOZE/LIGHT button to activate the display lighting for 5
seconds.
Date and time settings:
All settings: buttons are on the rear side of the weather station.
Automatic setting (RCC function)
This weather station is designed to set itself automatically on the reception
of the radio signal coming from Frankfurt in Germany. It allows all European
countries within approx. 1500 km radius around Frankfurt to benefit from this
radio signal. Summer and winter time settings will be applied automatically.
The unit starts searching for the DCF signal automatically after startup. This
operation can take several minutes to several hours. Please do not hesitate to
change room for the first reception. The unit automatically adjusts depending
on the signal several times a day.
If you cannot receive the signal, you can choose the manual settings:
Manual Date and time setting
Press and hold down the “MODE’ button for 1 second, and the Year display 2019
starts to flash. Now use the “UP” and “DOWN” buttons to set the correct year.
Press “MODE” to confirm your setting. The Month display starts to flash. Now
use the “UP” and “DOWN’ buttons to set the correct month. Press ‘MODE° to
confirm your setting. The Date display starts to flash. Now use the “Ur and
‘DOWN” buttons to set the correct date. Press “MODE” to confirm your setting.
Language setting
The language selection for the Weekday displays starts to flash. Now use the
“UP” and ‘DOWN” buttons to select a language. Press “MODE” to confirm your
setting, There are 7 languages of Weekday: English, German. Italian, French,
Spanish, Dutch, and Danish.
Time setting
The Time zones start to flash. Now use the “UP” and “DOWN’ buttons to set the
correct time zone (-12 to +12). Press “MODE” to confirm your setting. The
12/24 hour mode display starts to flash. Now use the “UP’ and ‘DOWN” buttons
to set the correct 12/24 hour mode. Press “MODE” to confirm your setting. The
Hour display starts to flash. Now use the “UP’ and ‘DOWN” buttons to set the
correct hour. Press “MODE” to confirm your setting. The Minute displays start
to flash. Now use the “UP° and °DOWN” buttons to set the correct minute. Press
“MODE” to confirm your setting and to end the set procedures. enter the clock
mode.
After 7 seconds without pressing any buttons, the clock switches automatically
from Set Mode to Normal Time Mode.
Alarm setting
Press once on the °ALARM” button, the LCD display will show a “bell” icon.
Press and hold down the °ALARM” button for 2 seconds until the Alarm Time
flashing icon is displayed. Now use the “Ur and ‘DOWN” buttons to select the
alarm time you require and briefly press the “ALARM” button to set this Alarm
time. The Hour display of the Alarm time starts to flash. Now use the ‘Ur and
‘DOWN” buttons to set the required hour. Press ‘ALARM” button to confirm
you’re setting The Minute display of the Alarm time starts to flash. Use the
“UP” and “DOWN” buttons to set the required minute. Press the “ALARM” button
to confirm your setting and to end the setting procedure.
To activate or deactivate the daily alarms. briefly press the “ALARM” button
once. The alarm will sound for 1 minute if you do not deactivate it by
pressing any button. In this case, the alarm will be repeated automatically
after 24 hours. The rising alarm sound (duration: 1 minute) changes the volume
4 times while the alarm signal is heard.
Automatic SNOOZE function
To activate the automatic snooze function: While the alarm is sounding. press
the “SNOOZE/LIGHT” button at the rear side of the weathered dock or press the
front button under the LCD display to activate the snooze function. When the
snooze function is activated. the “Zz’ symbol appears in the display. This
operation moves the alarm back by 1 to 60 minutes (according to previous
settings) and the alarm will restart at this time.
°C/°F temperature display:
The temperature is displayed either in °C or °F. Briefly press the “DOWN”
button allows you to switch between the individual modes.
Radio connection to the outdoor sensor:
Press and hold down the °DOWN” button for 2 seconds to search for outdoor
sensors (to erase the current data Inside the RC clock).
Receiving of the RCC signal:
After power on, the unit will automatically receive the RCC signal for Max. 7
minutes, and the RCC icon flashes at 1Hz. At 1:00/2:00/3:00 AM, RCC receiving
will be turned on automatically, and the clock will be synchronized if
received successfully. If this receiving fails (the radio mast icon disappears
from the display), the system will automatically attempt another
synchronization at the next full hour. This procedure is repeated
automatically up to total of 5 times per day. Press and hold the ‘WAVE key,
which also can enable or disable the RCC receiving. If no signals are received
within 7 minutes, then the DCF signal search stops (the radio mast icon
disappears) and start again at the next full hour.
A flashing radio mast icon indicates that the unit is receiving an RCC signal.
A continuously displayed radio mast icon indicates that the DCF signal was
received successfully. The radio mast icon will disappear if receiving fails.
Weather forecast
The weather station uses the air pressure data for weather forecast, the
station has 4 icons: sunny, slightly cloudy, cloudy, and rainy:
