Getting Started

Congratulations! Thank you for choosing Xellence True Wireless Noise Cancelling Earphones. Before using them, you should read this manual to familiarize yourself with the Bluetooth functions of your mobile phone or other devices.

Precautions

1. Please follow the instructions given in this manual carefully to ensure your safety. Before using Xellence earphones, we would strongly encourage you to read through this user manual.
2. Pay particular attention to any edges, uneven surfaces, metal parts, accessories and packaging to avoid any possibility of injury.
3. Do not dismantle, repair or modify this product to prevent fire, electric shocks or other product dam age, which are not covered under warranty.
4. Do not use any solvents or volatile liquids to clean Xellence earphones.
5. Do not use your Xellence earphones in hazardous situations. Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help. The device can be used in portable exposure conditions without restriction. The device has been evaluated to meet general RF exposure requirements. This equipment complies with the FCC’s RF radiation exposure limits set out for an uncontrolled environment. This device and its antenna(s) must not be co-located or used in conjunction with another antenna or transmitter.

This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.

The product is only guaranteed to comply with EN50332 in generic mode with immersion off and with the volume limiter on. Depending on the hearing of the user, some combinations of hearing corrections and immersion settings may exceed EN50332 limits.

Focus on your safety and that of others if you use the ear phones while engaging in any activity requiring your attention. You may remove the earphones or adjust the volume to ensure you can hear surrounding sounds, including alarms and warning signals.

Do not use the earphones if they emit any loud or unusual noise. If this happens, take the earphones off and contact Kygo Life AS customer service.

Do not submerge or expose the earphones to water, or wear while participating in water sports, e.g., swimming, surfing etc.

This symbol means the product must not be discarded as household waste, and should be delivered to an appropriate collection facility for recycling. Proper disposal and recycling helps protect natural resources, human health and the environment. For more information on disposal and recycling of this product, contact your local council, disposal service, or the shop where you bought this product.

General function

Operation LED Status

• Power on / Blue LED is turned on for 1 second
• Power off/ no light
• Pairing / Red LED & Blue LED flash alternately
• Pairing complete/Blue LED flashes every 5 seconds
• Low battery / Red LED blinks slowly
• Charging / 4 Red LEDs on charging case stay lit during charging and show the charging status
• Charging Complete / All 4 Red LEDs on charging case stay red when fully charged

Basic Button Operations

Power on: Power on when placed out of the charging case or press the AVC button on each earbud once, if you haven’t cleared the pairing records.

Power off: Power off when placing the earphones into the charging case or press MFB three times and the third time hold for 2 sec. on each earbud.

Adjust volume: When music plays or during call, tap right MFB once, volume +. Tap left MFB once volume -. When volume reaches max or min, listen for a “beep” sound.

Play/Pause: Double press right or left MFB to pause. Double press again to play music.

Next: Long press 3 sec. right MFB to go to next track.

Previous: Long press 3 sec. left MFB to go to previous track.

Answer Call: Tap right or left MFB once to answer incoming calls.

End call: Double press right or left MFB to end calls.

Reject call: When incoming call, long press 1 sec.

ANC-Ambient-Off mode: Tap left or right MFB three times to change between different modes.

Activate Siri or Google: Long press 1 sec. AVC button

Proximity sensor: Auto pauses when you take out both earbuds. When you take out only one both will still play. The proximity sensor can be turned on/off in the X by Kygo™ app.

X-LED light On/Off:
Double press the AVC button for turning on/off the X-light.

Mimi Sound Personalization:
To access the Mimi Sound Personalization feature please download the X by Kygo™ app and follow the onboarding instructions.

Battery Capacity status

When connected to an Android or iOS device, the earphones’ battery power status is displayed in upper right corner of the device’s screen. On iPhone X and newer iPhone models, the battery status can be shown by sliding down the screen. Battery status can also be read in the X by Kygo™ app.

Charging

A new set of earphones has enough power for pairing and dialling out several times. When it has low battery, please charge the charging case via USB cable for 2 hours and make sure the earbuds are placed correctly in the charging case. During charging, red LED flashes. Once fully charged, red LED remains off.

Clearing pairing records

Long press the MFB button for 5 sec. when earphones are in pairing mode and a red LED blinks slowly three times. The earphones will now enter pairing mode again. The two earbuds need to be reset separately, so repeat this action on both left and right earbud.

Reset earbuds

If the earphones crash, you can reset your earphone by placing them into the charging case. Close the lid and wait for a few seconds.

Bluetooth Pairing

First time pairing with one phone or other devices:

1. Place the earphones into the charging case and close the lid. Remove the earphones from the case and they will automatically power on and enter pairing mode.
2. You will hear a voice alert saying, “ready to pair” and the red and blue light flashes alternately.
3. Activate the Bluetooth function on your device and select “Kygo Xellence”. Follow the instruction to enter “0000” as PIN if the mobile phone reminder appears.
4. A blue LED flashes every 5 seconds when pairing is successful, and you will hear a voice alert saying, “pairing complete”. Xellence can now be used to play your phone music or for phone calls.

Pairing with a new device:

1. Make sure the earphones are powered ON.
2. Long press the MFB button on left or right side for 5 sec. to enter pairing mode.
3. You will hear a voice alert saying, “ready to pair” and the red and blue light flashes alternately.
4. Activate the Bluetooth function on your device and select “Kygo Xellence”. Follow the instruction to enter “0000” as PIN if the mobile phone reminder appears.
5. A blue LED flashes every 5 seconds when pairing is successful, and you will hear a voice alert saying, “pairing complete”. Xellence can now be used to play your phone music or for phone calls.

Waterproof

The KYGO Xellence earphones are water resistant under classification IPX5. The earphones can tolerate water jets projected by a nozzle (6.3mm) from any angle , rain and sweat. Do not submerge them in water.
