WHITE NOISE MACHINE – User Guide

Warnings and advice

  1. Do not place the unit close to naked flame sources e.g. candles.
  2. Keep away from dripping or splashed fluids.
  3. The unit should not be exposed to direct sunlight, very high or low temperatures, moisture, strong magnetic fields high frequencies and dusty environments.
  4. Do not use abrasives or solvents to clean the surface of the unit. Wipe with a clean soft cloth it and a mild detergent solution.
  5. Do not insert wires, pins etc. into any openings on the unit.
  6. Do not disassemble or modify the unit, there are no user serviceable parts. If the unit is damaged or malfunctions do not use. Consult a qualified service engineer.
Introduction

The White Noise Machine (WNM1) is a proven aid to sleep. With six soothing white noise and natural sound recordings to choose from all sure to help you forget about the outside world and get to sleep faster. Simply switch on, adjust the volume and set the timer. The choice of micro USB or battery powering and the compact design makes it portable and ideal for taking with you when you travel.

Powering your White Noise Machine

There are two options for powering your WNM1:
(1) Via the micro USB socket or
(2) With 3x AA alkaline batteries.

  1. Connect your WNM1 to a powered USB socket on a computer or USB power adaptor using the micro USB charging cable supplied connected to the micro USB port (1) on the back of your WNM1.
  2. Unclip the door from the battery compartment on the base. Fit three AA batteries align them as shown in the 2. Unclip the door from the battery compartment on the base. Fit three AA batteries align them as shown in the compartment with the correct polarity.

Operation
  1. Press the power button (4) to switch the sound On/Off.
  2. Press the volume -/+ buttons (6&7) to reduce/increase the volume.
  3. Rotate the rotary selector switch (3) to select a sound/noise from the six available (a-f).
  4. Press the time button (5) repeatedly to select the duration of the sound chosen. The options are 15, 30 and 60 minutes an LED will light up above the number to indicate the duration chosen. After the selected duration has elapsed your white noise machine will automatically switch off. Press a 4th time (no LEDs showing) if you want the sound to continue until you switch it off manually.
  5. Use the power button (4) if you want to stop the sound before the selected time has elapsed.

Battery replacement – low battery charge

When battery power is low you will hear a crackling noise and the LEDs will flicker. The WNM1 will then switch off after 10 seconds and you will need to replace the batteries or connect to a USB power output using the cable supplied.

Listening on headphones/earphones

A 3.5mm audio output socket (2 marked “AUX OUT” ) is provided on the back of the unit for connecting headphones, earphones or any other audio output device.
