Warnings and Advice

Warning

  1. Do not place the mic close to naked flame sources, such as lighted candles.
  2. Keep away from dripping or splashed fluids.
  3. The unit should not be exposed to direct sunlight, very high or low temperatures, moisture, strong magnetic fields high frequencies and dusty environments.
  4. Do not use abrasives, benzene, thinner or other solvents to clean the surface of the unit. To clean, wipe with a clean soft cloth it and a mild detergent solution.
  5. Never attempt to insert wires, pins or other such objects into the vents or opening of the unit.
  6. Do not disassemble or modify the mic, there are no user serviceable parts.
  7. If the mic is damaged or malfunctions do not use. Consult a qualified service engineer.
  8. This product contains a Lithium battery. It must be used and charged properly. Improper use can cause the battery to catch fire or explode resulting in serious or fatal injury.
  9. Do not dispose of this product with household waste at the end of its life cycle; hand it over to a collection center for the recycling of electrical and electronic appliances.

Disposal of your old appliance or battery:

  1. When this crossed-out wheeled bin symbol is attached to a product, it means the product is covered by the European Directive.
  2. All electrical and electronic products including batteries should be disposed of separately from household waste at an appropriate recycling point/centre.

Introduction

This battery powered wireless combination Bluetooth™ speaker and microphone is ideal for karaoke anywhere.You can send MP3 backing tracks from your mobile, tablet or any other Bluetooth™ enabled audio device to the built-in speaker and sing along. You can also play MP3 backing tracks loaded on to a micro SD card using the TF /micro SD card slot on the mic. Features include an adjustable echo/reverb effect. As an added bonus, if you invest in two of these mies, the DUET MODE can be used to make a synchronised connection of both mies to a single phone or tablet – Ideal for duets

Re-chargeable Battery and Charging

This wireless karaoke mic has a 3.7V rechargeable Lithium battery. For best results, the first time you use the mic, let it charge for 4-6 hours until fully charged. Before charging or use please unscrew the handle to reveal the battery compartment lift and remove the battery compartment cover pull out the plastic safety insulation tag which is located between the battery and the positive terminal in the battery compartment.

  1. Plug one end of the USB charging cable into the USB charging socket (15) and the other end into the USB port on a computer, charging adaptor or power bank.
  2. The charging LED indicator (l l) will light up red while the battery is charging.
  3. The charging LED indicator (l l) light will turn off when the battery is fully charged.
  4. Disconnect the charging cable from the mic when the battery is fully charged.

Battery care warning:
If the battery is completely drained, to ensure maximum battery life, charge fully within 48 hrs. If the mic is likely to be left unused for a long period of time, to avoid damage to the battery, fully charge the battery first.

Please Note: Before pairing use the VOL- (5) and MIC VOL (8) to set the speaker and mic volume to low

Pairing your mic with Bluetooth enabled Android phones/tablets

  1. Place the mic and phone/tablet within l metre of each other. Press and hold down the Power<!.> button (7) to turn on the mic, the blue LED (6) will flash rapidly and you will hear a 4 beat tone, the mic is ready to pair.
  2. Select the Bluetooth function on your phone and search for Bluetooth devices, the mic will appear as “Karaoke mic” in the Bluetooth device list, select and pair.
  3. Connection will normally be automatic if a password is required enter (0000). After successful pairing, select “Karaoke mic” in the Bluetooth device list, and press ·connect”. After successful connection you will hear a twin tone and the LED (6) will stop flashing and remain lit blue.

Please Note:

  1. If the pairing is not successful, turn off the mic and try pairing again.
  2. After successful pairing, paired devices will remember each other. Unless pairing information is deleted, pairing will be automatic when both devices are switched on in range of each other.
  3. To pair with a new device follow steps l-3 above after disconnecting the existing pair.

Pairing your mic with an iPhone/iPad

Place the mic and your iPhone/iPad within l metre of each other. Press and hold down the Power button (7) to turn on the mic. the blue LED (6) will flash rapidly and you will hear a 4 beat tone. the mic is ready to pair. In the iPhone/iPad General menu go to Bluetooth. tap on Bluetooth function. search the Bluetooth devices. tap “Karaoke mic” to connect

Pairing your mic with a PC/laptop Mac running OSX l O or above

To pair to a PC or Mac follow the same procedure as for a phone or tablet. After pairing to a Mac you will need to open System Preferences, click on Sound, click Output and select the Karaoke mic. Then click Input and select your mic. Adjust the Input an Output volume to suit. You can also click on the “Show volume in menu bar” if you would like to control the volume from the menu bar. To show the Bluetooth status in the menu bar go to the Bluetooth preferences and click on the appropriate checkbox. During the pairing process. if you are asked for a password enter (0000).

Re-connecting to a paired device

Each time the mic is turned on, there are two possible outcomes. The mic will connect automatically to the last connected device, just press play on your device for playback. The mic will be listed on your devices screen as an available output channel, select the mic as the output channel and play your music.

Playing backing tracks from a micro SD card

As an alternative to playing backing tracks from a Bluetooth™ device you can play backing tracks loaded on to a micro SD card, insert the card into the SD card slot and you will hear a brief twin tone and the tracks will start playing automatically. Use the.._ Previous/ I Pause/Next (10.4.9) buttons to select and play the tracks you want.

Operation

Echo/reverb effect
Use the Echo/Reverb +/- Slider Switch (12) to add/adjust echo/reverb effect.

Power ON/OFF and Mode Bluetooth/SD Card Mode Button

  • Press and hold down the c!>;M Power/Mode Button (7) to switch on the mic (the blue LED (6) will flash rapidly and you will hear a twin 4 beat tone followed by a twin tone when the mic is paired also the LED will stop flashing and remain lit). Once on, press and hold down the c!>;M Power/ Mode Button (3) to switch the mic off (you will hear a 4 beat tone and the LED will go out).
  • To save battery power always switch off the mic when not in use.
  • When an SD card is loaded the mic switches to SD card mode automatically, press the <.!>;M Power/Mode Button (3) to switch to Bluetooth mode, press again to return to SD card mode.

Selecting the backing track playback

  • Once you have started playing a backing track use the.._ Previous/ I Pause/ Next (10.4.9) buttons to select and play the tracks you want in both SD card mode and Bluetooth mode.

Backing track volume
Press and hold down the speaker VOL- (5) to reduce the volume of the backing track, press and hold down the speaker VOL+ (3) to increase the volume of the backing track.

Voice volume
Sing/speak into the mic adjusting the mic to mouth distance and the Mic Input Volume +/­Slider Switch (8) to get the volume as you want it.

Duet Mode

  1. Place two identical karaoke mies within l metre of each other and switch both on. Make sure both are disconnected from all Bluetooth devices.
  2. Double click the <!.>;M Power/Mode Button (7) on one mic, you will hear a musical tone from it and when they are successfully connected you will hear a “beep tone from the second mic.
  3. Open the Bluetooth menu on your phone/tablet/computer and as previously described pair with the main mic.You can now use both mies simultaneously. Once you have finished with the “duet mode , unpair the Bluetooth device (phone/tablet/computer), which will then reset the microphones to the standard operating mode.
