BH2375 Gen 3 Swap Log Header

Thank you for choosing to use HOOKER™ engine swap Headers as part of your GEN3 HEMI Swap project. These headers are part of the most comprehensively engineered system of mounting components, headers and exhaust systems available for this application. Please read these instructions thoroughly before attempting installation.
IMPORTANT:

• Requires Hooker Blackheart Engine Mounting Brackets for best results. See compatibility below for installation notes.
• Requires engine specific Exhaust Manifold gaskets for proper exhaust port seal. See compatibility below for part numbers.

Installation Note: These parts are designed to fit a variety of vehicles and are not intended to be an exact fit part for all Gen 3 hemi Swap projects. Our engineers have test fit these parts on a range of different vehicles and have determined that they are capable of providing a low cost exhaust manifold solution for a number of vehicles that will be accepting the Gen 3 Chrysler Hemi engine. Some  minor modifications may be required to accommodate BH2375 Headers into your particular vehicle even if it is listed on the following pages.

COMPATIBILITY INFORMATION:

These headers were specifically designed to be installed with Hooker Blackheart HEMI swap engine and transmission mounting components and exhaust systems for the same applications. Attempts to install these headers with any other type or combination of engine and transmission mounting components may cause them to not provide their intended ground or vehicle component clearance and may affect compatibility with the related HOOKER™ exhaust systems if applicable.

BH2375 Headers are designed as a multi fit application. The following Dodge, Chrysler and Plymouth vehicles have been test fit (see notes for details).

• 1966-1972 B-Body – Manual Steering ONLY, reduced head cover bolt recommended, Figure 3
• 1970-1974 E-Body – Manual Steering ONLY, reduced head cover bolt recommended, Figure 3
• 1987- 1996 Dodge Dakota 2WD V6/V8
• 1997- 2004 Dodge Dakota 2WD V6/V8 – Upper Control arm clearance recommended, Figure 4
• 1972 -1993 Dodge D100/D150
• IMPORTANT! PN: BH2375 will not fit A-Body vehicles

BH2375 Headers will fit the following engines (*see notes)

• 5.7L 2003 – 2008 * 1, 2
• 5.7L 2009 – 2020 * 1, 3, 4
• 6.1L 2005 – 2010 * 1, 3
• 6.2L 2015 – 2020 * 1, 3
• 6.4L 2011 – 2020 * 1, 3, 4

1. Holley Engine Mounts or adapter brackets are required for correct fitment
2. Square Exhaust Port – OEM Gasket P/N: 53013943AA and P/N: 53013944AA
3. D-shaped Exhaust Port (No EGR) – OEM Gasket P/N: 05038098AA and P/N: 05038099AA
4. D-shaped Exhaust Port (with EGR and heat shield) – OEM Gasket P/N: 5045495AA and P/N: 5045496AA

Accessory Pack Contents

• REQUIRES THE USE OF OEM EXHAUST MANIFOLD GASKETS.
  Check the hardware package. If anything is missing, please contact Technical Service at 1-866-464-6553 or 270-781-9741.
  TOOLS NEEDED:

  • 3/8” Metric Socket set
  • 6” Extension
  • Universal or 10mm, 11mm,13mm, Swivel Socket
  • 10mm, 11mm, 13mm, 15mm Wrench

INSTALLATION:

1. Install the OEM exhaust manifold gasket on to the engine with the lower row of bolts installed 8-10 threads.
   NOTE: Gaskets are Left and Right side specific, the composite side is installed OUT toward the manifold (Figure 1).

2. Install the BH2375 Header on to the bolts and install the upper row of bolts (Figure 2).

3. Tighten the bolts from the center out in steps to allow the gasket to compress evenly.

4. Final torque on the header bolts should be approximately 28/30 ft./lbs.

IMPORTANT: If your engine is equipped with the EGR transfer port on the passenger’s side cylinder head, make sure the gasket has the hole punched to allow exhaust gas to pass through this port on the header.
