ALPTOP WiFi Series AT-100BW Outdoor IP Security Camera
CamHi is an application for mobile devices. With the App, you can view live
image of the camera, receive alarm notification and so on.
There are two ways to set up wifi connection for this camera.
- Set WiFi via Lan Cable(The camera needs to be connected to the router with a network cable. After the WiFi setting is completed, the network cable can be pulled off)
- Set WiFi via AP mode(The camera does not need to be connected to the router with a network cable.)
1.Set up WiFi via LAN Cable
Download Phone App – CamHi
Download app from either App Store for iPhone, or Google Play for Android
Phone.
Enter CamHi in the search box and you will find this app software.
All permissions should allow to turn on after installing CamHi APP. Please
make sure the app version is the newest.

Power the camer
-
Connect the camera to your router with a network cable

Open CamHi and click “Add Camera”

Click“Search camera from LAN,Don’t hit wireless installation.

Choose camera UID, Click“√”,

Camera added successfully

Click the setting button
-
Go to “Wi-Fi setting”
-
Click “WI-FI MANAGER” button, Select the 2.4G WiFi network that your cellphone is using ,Input the WiFi password. Then disconnect the network cable, and wait for about 20-30s.The camera will be work wifi wirelessly
2. Set WiFi Via AP mode
When there is no visible router with network cable port for configuration, please apply the Hotspot mode to configure the camera with your local Wi-Fi network, for this mode does not require a network cable during configuration.

Have camera powered, don’t connect the network cable.

Please reset the camera by pressing the camera reset button for 10s. Which place is the reset button?Please refer to the last page of the manual.

Wait for about 30s, Please kindly click ‘Setting’ on your phone – Click ‘WLAN’ – Choose the WLAN with the name starts with ‘IPC’ – Insert the default password ‘01234567’ – Click ‘Connect’. And your phone has been connected the the camera’s Wi-Fi Hotspot now.
Note:
Name of SSID: IPCAM-XXXXXX
Default password: 01234567
Please reset the camera by pressing the camera reset button for 10s if you can’t find the camera’s SSID name.

After confirming your phone has been connected to the camera’s Wi-Fi Hotspot,open the CamHi APP,Click “Add Camera”button, click “Search Camera from LAN” to search camera , and click “√” as seen below.

When the camera indicates ‘Online’, you can click on the image to liveview the camera.You need get into camera setting’s page, click “WiFi setting” and select your home WiFi, to build the wireless network.
NOTE: Camera AP mode will disappear automatically when the WiFi is configured.
3.Default Interface
- Edit: Click ‘Edit’ and you will see a camera list on the pop-out page. If you want to delete the camera, please click the icon, and click “delete”.Click on the camera name, and then you can modify the name/password of the camera on the pop-out page.
- Add Camera: Click ‘Add Camera’ to add camera to the APP.
- Click the circled area of ‘3’. you can enter the live view interface.
- Click the icon, and you can enter the main menu.
- Click ‘Camera’, then you can see a list of cameras added on the APP.
- Click ‘Picture’, and you can check the snapshots you took while live watching the camera.
- Click ‘Video’, then you can check the video records you took while live watching the camera via ‘Local’; and check the video records stored on the pre-installed SD card via ‘Online’.
- Click ‘About’, and you can get the version information of the APP.
After add the camera for a few second, waiting the camera connected automatically. Then it shows online, it means the camera video is watchable. Camera status:Connecting: Now the camera is connecting with network, according to different network, it takes different time. Online: means the device connected normally, click to view videos Audio status
When speaker icon turns to
Take snap photos to mobile phone photo folder
Record the video locally and save to photo folder.
Choose resolution type: HD or SD video. HD video will use more data usage than SD.
Mirror or flick the image
Setup preset
Close button
Zoom in and Zoom out, Focus in and Focus out . it is used if the camera is with optical zoom function.
Night Vision Mode Switch (camera need support color night vision function)
Ordinary: If you choose ‘Ordinary’, the red IR light will turn on automatically in darkness. And the night vision will be with black and white image.
Color: If you choose ‘Color’, the white light will turn on automatically in darkness, and the image will always be in color.
Intelligent: If you choose ‘Intelligent’, the camera will be in ‘Ordinary’ mode as default. Once there is motion detected, the camera will swith from ‘Ordinary’ to ‘Color’. And it will be back to ‘Ordinary’ if there is no motion detected after one minute.

By clicking setting icons at camera list, it launches the interface of camera settings.
4.1 Change password
4.2 Alarm setting
Set motion detection on or off, and select the detection sensibility from
High,
Medium and Low. Higher sensibility may has more false call, caused by
sunshine, moving tree leaves, and etc.
4.3 Action with Alarm
Alarm Notification: Send push notification when alarm is triggered.
Alarm SD REC: Save the videos on SD Card when alarm is triggered
Email alarm with pictures: Send email with picture.
The email server has to be configured. Please refer to related section.
Save snapshots on FTP Server
The FTP server has to be configured. Please refer to related section.
4.4 Recording Schedule
Video file length:15-600seconds can be set, default is 600seconds.
Enable the constant recording.
Note: The constant record file an Alarm video record file will be list up together. Once the SD is full, theoldest file will be deleted. So the camera always keeps the latest videos on the SD card.
4.5 Audio Setting
4.6 Video settings
The camera has two streams are available to be accessed by phone. When select
HD, the main video stream is used, and when select SD, the sub stream is used.
Video parameter settings is very technical, some setting parameter only works
at specific conditions. Please keep the default value copies, so you can
return to it if the setting does not work properly.
Bit rate Set video stream bit rate at unit of Kbps. Higher bit rate get better
image quality, but it request higher internet bandwidth of download and
upload. Check your internet service with your provider, or use some website
lie www.speedtest.net to check your real bandwidth. Be noted that camera need
the bandwidth for constant video stream.
Frame rate
Set the frames per second to show the video. Higher frame rate get fast response of video with motion. However it automatically decreased when the internet bandwidth cannot match it. QualitySet image quality. Camera compresses the video by the targeted image quality. However the quality will be automatically reduced when the video data compressed cannot transferred within configured bit rate.
Frequency
Select from 50HZ or 60Hz to match the AC source frequency. It has better video quality if the frequency matches.
4.7 SD Card setting
It shows the total space of the SD card and the size of the available space. There is button to format SD card.Please power off the camera before insert card.
4.8 Device time setting
It shows the camera time, is to select the time zoom, and button to sync the camera time with smart phone time.
4.9 Email Setting(Gmail)
It is setting with some technical knowledge about email server. Please check
your email server provider, and get the related information how to set the
email server.
Smtp server:the smtp mail sever to be used to send this mail
Server port:port number used at mail sever.
Secure connection:select SSL on or not. It need match the mail server user
name and password : email account and password
Send to: the mailbox that receive alarm pictures
Sender: The mail mailbox address, which is used to send the mail.
Click [Apply] to activate the setting, then click [test] to know whether can
send alarm email.
Please sign in to Gmail and allowing 3 party apps to access Gmail, less
security.
4.10 FTP Setting
It is setting with some technical knowledge about email server. Please check your ftp server provider, and get the related information how to set the ftp server.
4.11 Device information
Shows device information: including network status, user connection number, IP address, Subnet mask, gateway, DNS and so on. It is for maintenance purpose.
5. Video Play back and Download
The video saved on SD memory card can be played back on the app. Select go to
video view, and select“online” video, then select the target camera. The
videos are listed by the time order. By select video, it prompts:“Play” /
Download / cancel
Play : Get video stream from camera,while play the video.
Download:Download the video file from camera, and save to local. You can
download the video when phone is connected by WiFi, and check the video late.
So it can save the data usage.
To view the backup recorded videos, please click ‘Video’ -“Local’, and then
click the name of the camera you chose to back up videos. Then click
‘Download’ and you will see the backup videos. If you want to converted the
video format as MP4 file you can click the icon.
6.If your camera cannot connect to WiFi, please check the following
points:

Working on 2.4G wireless band. The camera just can operate 2.4GHz band, so if your wifi router can broadcast both 2.4Ghz WiFi and 5Ghz WiFi and their WiFi name is same in router’s default setting, please rename the 2.4G WiFi to be different from 5Ghz WiFi.

Work as a DHCP server. The camera can’t be assigned a static ip address manually, it need the router to assign an IP address. So if your router is not working under DHCP mode, please access router’s setting page and change it to
DHCP mode, if you are tech un-savvy, don’t worry, most of home wifi router are working under DHCP mode. -
Don’t let your routing work with the tightest possible security. if your wifi router has been set up with the tightest possible security which allows only known devices to connect to your network, please disable the tightest possible security, because it will block the camera accessing.

Please reset your camera and reinstall CamHi app.

8. Reset Button
Power on the camera and keep pressing the reset button for around 10 seconds, the camera will reset.
