What is Google Assistant?
Google’s voice assistant allows access to different services and functions
through voice commands.
It can be used on different types of devices, including mobile phones,
smartwatches, televisions, and Google Home (device for the home).
Installing the APP.
To use Google Assistant with the Haverland radiators, you need to use the
Google Home APP.
You just need to go to your app store and install it.
Pair your radiator with Google.
Once the Google Home application is installed, the next step will be to open
it. If this is the first time, you will need to create a new home.
Once registered, the APP will ask you to set up a new device, click on “Work
with Google”. If you already had a home created, before setting up, go to Add
-> Set up device.
Next, a list will appear with the different devices (actions) that can be
added. To continue with the process, the next step will be to search for and
select Haverland.
Enter the username and password you used on our “Haverland App”. Then, select
the name of the property you wish to pair with the Google account. Once
selected, go to Link Home.
Once paired, it is now possible to be managed from Google through both voice
commands and through the controls appearing on the Google Home app.
The application asks where the radiator is located to assign it to a room.
Several radiators can be added to the same room, and the names of the rooms
and radiators can be the same or different.
It is available in Spanish, English, French, German and Italian.
Control through the Google app presents a series of limitations compared to
ours :
- You cannot register radiators and/or users. You also cannot delete radiators.
- You cannot edit the names of the radiators or the property.
- You cannot program or set up advanced radiator settings.
- Geolocation does not work.
- Users cannot be invited to the account.
- You cannot consult consumption history.
For any of these functions, use the “Haverland App”.
Control through the Voice Assistant.
Control your radiators using Google voice assistant.
There is no unique way to give commands. Google’s voice assistant interprets
the orders naturally. Some of the commands that you can use are:
- Turn off the house (turns off all devices).
- Turn off a radiator.
- Turn on the house (turns on all devices).
- Turn on a radiator.
- Set 25 degrees in the house (sets all devices to 25ºC. If they were turned off, they turn on in Auto mode, if not, they remain in the mode they were in).
- Set 25 degrees in the living room (there must be a living room device).
- Set “Comfort” Heat mode in the living room (sets the manual mode to Comfort temperature).
- The set Economy mode in the living room (sets the manual mode to Economy temperature).
- Set a radiator to AUTO mode.
- Turn off the radiator in the living room.
- Ask for the temperature setting for a radiator.
Control through the Google Home application.
The Google Home application allows limited control of the radiators installed
in the home. After completing the account linking, the radiators that are
installed at the paired property appear on the Home APP.
At the time of writing this manual, if the radiator is in Auto mode, it
appears as “Other”, the temperature cannot be changed from the Home app in
this mode. This could change in the future; it depends on Google.
To access a radiator, press the icon with its name. The Heat mode can be
selected, which is equivalent to manual mode. A Comfort temperature is set,
which can be changed.
You can also set the economy mode, which sets the manual mode to the Economy
temperature, but this temperature cannot be changed.
To turn it off, set “OFF”.
WARNING: These instructions have been made based on the Google
application, over which we have no control and that may change. Google
provides information on how to perform the steps to pair with the user
account, as well as manage the devices with the Smart Home profile.
This manual is for guidance only.
