Introduction
Purpose
This document describes the usage of a TEMPLATE ULTRA BLE device.
Scope
The intended audience is valued customers.
Description
The TEMPLATE ULTRA BLE is a BLE-enabled sensor data logger designed for the transportation industry. It is primarily intended to be used to record and store accurate temperature data as well as transmit the data to a Bluetooth- enabled smartphone or tablet device via a mobile application. The device also supports a secondary legacy download mechanism as well utilizing a USB file system to auto-generate a PDF when plugged into a computer.

User Interface
The user interface consists of the following:
- Three LEDs (red, green, blue)
- Two buttons(Start/Stop)
- One LCD Display
2.1.1. LEDs
The LEDs are intended to allow quick and easy-to-read status to be conveyed to
the end-user. The user can immediately know the status of the unit during
startup and operation.
2.1.1.1. System Startup Sequence
During startup, and If configured the Green LED blinks at 1hz for 4 secs.
2.1.2. Buttons
There are two buttons on the device:
- Start – a configurable press delay is added, usually configured to be held for three seconds before it starts.
- Stop– a configurable press delay is added usually configured to be held for three seconds before it stops.
2.1.3. LCD
There is an LCD on the device:
During Startup, if there is a hardware failure found during the self-test, an X will display on the LCD and the Stop sign will appear.
Using the Device
Starting the device:
To start the device, press the START button. If the Start Key feature is enabled, the START button must be held down for 3 seconds. The device may only be started from sleep mode.
Stopping the device:
There are 2 methods for stopping the device.
- To stop the device, press the STOP button. If the Stop Key feature is enabled, the STOP button must be held down for 3 seconds to stop.
- In enabled, Plug the Monitor into a USB port on a computer or printer.
Software
This unit reports data over a BLE connection via a mobile app. This data is accessible via several web-based platforms that target various industries. Please contact customer support for more information.
