SPECIFIC

ABSORPTION RATE (SAR)
CERTIFICATION INFORMATION

This device meets international guidelines for exposure to radio waves.
Your mobile device is designed not to exceed the limits for exposure to radio waves recommended by international guidelines. The guidelines were developed by an independent scientific organization (ICNIRP) and include a substantial safety margin designed to assure the safety of all persons regardless of age and health. The radio wave exposure guidelines use a unit of measurement known as the Specific Absorption Rate or SAR.

FCC STATEMENT

Any changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment. This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions:

  1. This device may not cause harmful interference, and
  2. This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.

FCC CAUTION

15.19 Labeling requirements
This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules.
Operation is subject to the condition that this device does not cause harmful interference.
15.21 Information to user
Any changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment.
15.105 Information to the user
Note: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications.
However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following  measures:
Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.

SPECIFIC ABSORPTION RATE (SAR) INFORMATION:

Your device conforms to FCC/ ISED (Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada) standards that limit human exposure to RF (radio frequency) energy emitted by radio and telecommunications equipment. These standards prevent the sale of mobile devices that exceed a maximum exposure level (known as the Specific Absorption Rate, or SAR) of 1.6 W/kg (head and trunk) and 4.0 W/kg (limbs). More SAR information can be accessed online on FCC/ ISED’s website www.ic.gc.
ca/eic/site/ceb-bhst.nsf/eng/h_tt00084.html
https://www.fcc.gov/general/radio-frequency-safety-0
In normal use, the actual SAR is likely to be much lower, as the device has been designed to emit only the RF energy necessary to transmit a signal to the nearest base station. By automatically emitting lower levels when possible, your device reduces your overall exposure to RF energy.

BODY-WORN OPERATION

This device was tested for typical body-worn operations. To comply with RF exposure requirements, a minimum separation distance of 10mm for body-worn and 10mm for hotspot must be maintained between the user’s body and the handset, including the antenna. Third-party belt clips, holsters, and similar accessories used by this device should not contain any metallic components. Body-worn accessories that do not meet these requirements may not comply with RF exposure requirements and should be avoided. Use only the supplied or an approved antenna.

Industry Canada compliance

RF exposure requirements
Important safety information regarding radio frequency (RF) radiation exposure:
RF exposure guidelines require that the device should be used for wrist-worn only. Failure to observe this guideline may result in RF exposure exceeding limits.

This device complies with CAN ICES-3 (B)/NMB-3(B).
This device complies with Industry Canada license-exempt RSS standard(s). Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference, including interference that may cause undesired operation of the device.

The information listed above provides the user with the information needed to make him or her aware of an RF exposure, and what to do to assure that this radio operates within the FCC exposure limits of this radio. The device complies with RF specifications when the device is used at 10mm from the front of the face and 0mm from the limbs. Third-party belt clips, holsters, and similar accessories used by this device should not contain any metallic components. Body-worn accessories that do not meet these requirements may not comply with RF exposure requirements and should be avoided. Use only the supplied or an approved antenna.
