Simple reset
A simple reset is required in the following cases:

  • If the programming key card and clearing key card (master keys) have been lost. After a simple reset, the allocated master keys are cleared and reallocation is required (LED continuously flashing in green). Continued use of the terminal is not possible until a restart with new master keys (5. Commissioning, page 33). The locking authorisations for the user keys are retained after a simple reset.

Prerequisites : A tool to actuate the reset button, such as a thin pen/pencil or opened out paper clip.

  1. Press the reset button.
    • A brief acoustic signal is heard.step 1
  2. Press and hold the reset button until a long acoustic signal is heard.
    • The lock on parametrisation with the MDU 110 mobile programming unit is disabled.
    • The LED flashes continuously in green.
  3. Re-teaching master keys.

Complete reset

A complete reset resets the furniture lock to the factory settings. All data is cleared. The furniture lock then has to be reconfigured ( 5. Commissioning, page 33.). A complete reset is required in the following cases:

  • Complete erasing of all data (e.g. in the event of return to stocks/warehouse).
  • Resetting of software operation to stand-alone operation (SA).

Prerequisites : A tool to actuate the reset button, such as a thin pen/pencil or opened out paper clip.

  1. Press the reset button.
    • A brief acoustic signal is heard.step 3
  2. Press and hold the reset button until two long acoustic signals are heard.
    • The LED flashes rapidly in green and red.
    • All data and access rights are cleared.
    • The lock switches to commissioning mode.
Cleaning and maintenance

Cleaning
Clean outer surfaces of product if necessary:

  • with a dry, soft cotton cloth, or
  • with a damp cloth and a little washing-up liquid or neutral cleaner

Maintenance
The product is maintenance-free apart from having to change the batteries.

NOTE
Damage to product due to incorrect maintenance

  • Do not carry out repairs.
  • Do not use lubricants.
  • Contact the manufacturer in the event of damage/malfunctions.
  • If parts have to be replaced, always use original replacement parts from HÄFELE.

Battery change

NOTE

Problem-free operation is only ensured with fully charged batteries.

  • Replace weak batteries immediately as soon as the signal occurs.
  • Only use approved batteries 3.2 Technical data, page 31.
  • Always replace all batteries.
  • The use of rechargeable battery packs is not permitted.

The clock continues to run for up to 5 minutes without batteries.

  • The batteries should therefore be changed quickly.
  • If necessary, reset the time with the MDU 110 mobile programming unit after changing the batteries.

NOTE: Product damaged caused by closing the EFL 30 / EFL 30 C without batteries. If the EFL 30 / EFL 30 C is closed without batteries after commissioning, it can no longer be opened without force.

Short double acoustic signal (every minute)| •    Lock is disabled| • Signal indicates that the user should unlock the furniture lock immediately and change the batteries.

•    Otherwise there is a risk that the furniture lock will remain permanently locked when the batteries die.

Storage

  • Store packages under the following conditions:
  • Do not store outdoors.
  • Store in a dry and dust-free place.
  • Do not expose to aggressive media.
  • Protect against sun exposure.
  • Avoid mechanical vibrations.
  • Observe the storage temperature: – 25°C bis + 95°C
  • Observe the relative humidity: max. 95%, not condensed.
  • Remove batteries when in temporary storage and only insert them immediately before commissioning.
    If there are further storage instructions provided in the product packaging, be sure to comply with these also.

Disposal: Do not dispose of the appliance in household waste. Please note the country-specific regulations.
