BATTERY INSTALLATION OF REMOTE CONTROL
- Slide and lift the battery door.
- Install 2 x AAA 1.5V carbon-zinc batteries (included) into the battery compartment as indicated by the polarity markings.
- Close the battery door.
Caution:
- Use only the size and type of battery specified.
- Be sure to follow the correct polarity when installing the battery as indicated in the battery compartment, a reserved battery may cause damage to the device.
- Do not mix different types of batteries (e.g. Alkaline and Carbon-zinc) or old batteries with fresh ones.
- If the batteries in the device are consumed or the device is not to be used for a long period of time, remove the batteries to prevent damage or injury from possible leakage.
- Do not try to recharge the battery not intended to be recharged; it can overheat and rupture. (Follow battery manufacturer’s instructions)
- The batteries shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.
- Clean the battery contacts and also those of the device prior to battery installation.
- Remove and immediately recycle or dispose of batteries from equipment not used for an extended period of time according to local regulations.
Remote control operation range
- When there is an obstacle between the remote and the receiver, the unit may not operate.
- When direct sunlight, an incandescent lamp, fluorescent lamp or any other strong light shines on the REMOTE SENSOR of the unit, the operation of the remote may be unstable.
PLACEMENT AND MOUNTING
- Placing the device on a table – Ventilation
- When placing the Soundbar on an entertainment center, bookshelf, or any type of enclosed space, be sure to allow at least 2-3 inches of space around the soundbar for ventilation. If the Sound Bar is enclosed in a tight space, without ventilation, heat generated from the Sound Bar could produce a potential heat hazard.
- The Installation Distance
- Mounting to a wooden wall
- A. Mark the position of the mounting screws on the wall using a pencil.
- B. Drill the screws directly into the marks that you have made on the wall and leave approx. 0.3 inches in length to hook the soundbar.
- C. Put the sound bar onto the mounting screws. Make sure they are firm and stable.
- Mounting to a brick wall
- A. Mark the position of the mounting screws on the wall using a pencil.
- B. Drill 2 holes in the wall with a powerful electric drill.
- C. Insert the fixing plug and hammer into the holes.
- D. Secure the screws into the fixing plug and leave approx. 0.3 inches in length to hook the soundbar.
- E. Put the sound bar onto the mounting screws. Make sure they are firm and stable.
GENERAL OPERATION
- Connect the AC/DC adapter to the unit and the indicator in front of the unit will light red.
- Press the button on the unit or remote control to power on the unit and the sound “Power on” and “Bluetooth” (default mode) can be heard; press and hold the same button for about 3 seconds to power off and a sound “Power off” can be heard.
- Press the Vol+ or Vol- button on the unit or remote control to adjust the volume level.
- Press the MODE button on the unit or remote control to switch to a different mode.
- During playback:
- Press the Mute button on remote control to turn on or off the sound.
- Press the EQ button on remote control repeatedly to change the EQ effect(Music/ Movie/ Bass/News/ Game); press and hold the EQ button to switch to default EQ effect.
- Pressing the BASS button can change to BASS effect.
- Pressing the TREBLE button can change to TREBLE effect.
- When playing in Bluetooth mode:
- Press and hold or button to skip to previous or next track; pressing the same button on remote control can also skip tracks.
- Press button on unit or remote control to play or pause the track.
Note:
- It defaults Bluetooth mode when the unit is turned on.
- It will enter standby mode without signal input in 15 minutes, the indicator will turn to red and you can hear “Power off”.
- When the unit is muted, the indicator will blink.
AUX FUNCTION
- Connect one end of the AUX cable to the AUX port of the unit, and the other end to the 3.5mm earphone jack or AUX out port of the external device.
- Power on the unit and switch to AUX mode as previously mentioned and you will hear the sound “Auxiliary”, the indicator will light green.
- Start the playback on an external device.
- Note: The , and button on both the unit and remote control do not work in this mode.
HDMI ARC FUNCTION
- Connect one end of the HDMI cable (not included) to the HDMI ARC port of the unit, and the other end to the HDMI ARC port of the TV.
- Power on the unit and switch to HDMI mode as previously mentioned and you will hear the sound “HDMI”, the indicator will light white.
- Start the playback on the TV.
Note:
- The TV must have ARC capability and be connected to HDMI ARC port.
- If there is no audio output(only picture) or sound when your TV is connected to the unit, please check the TV audio setting and try to set the audio output to other format.
- The , and button on both the unit and remote control do not work in this mode.
OPTICAL FUNCTION
- Connect one end of the Optical cable (not included) to the OPTICAL port of the unit, the other end to the OPTICAL OUT port of the TV or DVD player, etc.
- Power on the unit and switch to OPTICAL mode as previously mentioned and you will hear the sound “OPTICAL”, the indicator will light purple.
- Start the playback on a TV or DVD player.
Note:
- If there is no audio output(only picture) or sound when your TV or DVD player is connected to the unit, please check the TV audio setting and try to set the audio output to other format.
- The , and button on both the unit and remote control do not work in this mode.
BLUETOOTH FUNCTION
- Power on the unit as previously explained.
- To switch to Bluetooth mode:
- Press the MODE button on unit or remote control repeatedly;
- Or press the BT button on remote control. When change to Bluetooth mode, the indicator in front of unit will blink in blue and a sound “Bluetooth” can be heard.
- Power on the external Bluetooth device and activate Bluetooth mode to search for the unit.
- When the Bluetooth name Hearth & Hand 06 appears, select it and make connection.
- The sound “Bluetooth is paired” can be heard when connected successfully and the indicator will stay solid blue.
- To disconnect the current connection, press and hold the BT button on remote control and “Bluetooth is disconnected” can be heard; press the BT button to reconnect the Bluetooth device.
- Note: The unit will be automatically connected with the last connected Bluetooth device if both are activated Bluetooth function and in working range.
