  • Do not use the Framework™ Laptop if its cover or the battery’s plastic or mylar cover has been cracked or compromised in any way.
  • Do not use the battery in the event of battery leakage.
  • Do not expose the battery to excessive physical shock, excessive heat, or fire.
  • Do not attempt to dismantle, pierce, distort, or cut the battery and do not attempt to repair the battery.

We recommend that you replace the battery with model FRANBBAT01 or other Framework-recommended batteries only. For more information in regards to Framework-recommended batteries and used battery recycling instructions please visit https://fr.mw/FRANBBAT01.

WARNING: Coin Cell Battery

The Framework™ Laptop contains coin/button cell batteries.
This product’s coin/button cell battery may contain perchlorate and may require special handling when recycled or disposed of.

  • Do not ingest battery, Chemical Burn Hazard. If the coin/button cell battery is swallowed it can cause severe internal burns and can lead to death.
  • After the internal parts have been installed, remember to replace all covers securely.
  • If the coin/button cell battery is not secure in the holder, stop using the product and keep away from children.
  • If you think the batteries may have been swallowed or placed inside any part of the body, seek immediate attention.

Operating Guide: Temperature, Storage, Use, and Repairs
Operate and store the Framework™ Laptop in a place where the temperature is between 5C -35C (41F – 95F) (operating) -25C- 45C (-13F – 113F) (storage).
Do not use the Framework Laptop on your lap or exposed skin for long periods of time. Excessive temperature over time can result in heat-related injuries.
Follow Framework’s published step by step guides and use caution when replacing or upgrading internal components.

Operating Guide: Charging
Examine the power adapter regularly for damage to the cord, plug, enclosure, or other parts. Never use a damaged power adapter cord. Use only power adapters and AC cords that have passed regulatory testing in your region. Misuse can cause electrical shock. The socket outlet should be located near the equipment and should be easily accessible.
