OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

1. Read these instructions carefully.
2. Keep these instructions for later reference.
3. Heed all warnings.
4. Follow all instructions.
5. Do not use the device near water.
6. Clean only with a dry cloth.
7. Do not block any ventilation openings. Always ensure sufficient ventilation. Install in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
8. Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other devices (including amplifiers) that produce or radiate heat.
9. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two blades, one being wider than the other. A grounding-type plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The wide blade or the third prong is provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for the replacement of the obsolete outlet.
10. Protect the power cord from being walked on pinched or otherwise damaged, particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the device.
11. Only use attachments/accessories that have been specified by the manufacturer.
12. Use only with a cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specified by the manufacturer, or sold along with the device. When a cart is used, use caution when moving the cart/device combination to avoid injury from tip-over.
13. Unplug this device during lightning storms or when not being used for longer periods of time. ****
14. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel only. Servicing is required when the device has been damaged in any way, such as Power-supply cord or plug has been damaged, liquid has been spilled or entered the device, the device has been exposed to rain or moisture, or objects have fallen into the device, the device does not work normally, or it has been dropped.
15. Where a mains plug is used as the disconnect device, the disconnect device shall remain readily operable.
16. Please keep the unit in a good ventilation environment at any time.

The lightning flash with the arrowhead symbol within the equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user to the presence of uninsulated “dangerous voltage” within the product’s enclosure that may be of sufficient magnitude to constitute a risk of an electrical shock.
The exclamation point within the equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user to the presence of important operation and maintenance (servicing) instructions in the literature accompanying this appliance.

WARNING!/ AVERTISSEMENT!
To reduce the risk of fire or an electrical shock, do not expose this device to rain or moisture. The device must not be exposed to dripping or splashing water. Furthermore, no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on the device.
Caution Marking and rating plate was located at the rear enclosure of the apparatus.
When the mains plug or appliance coupler is used as a disconnect device, it shall remain readily operable.
The ventilation should not be impeded by covering the ventilation openings with items, such as newspapers, tablecloths, curtains, etc.; Minimum distances 10cm around the apparatus for sufficient ventilation.
Use the apparatus only in a moderate climate.

FEATURES

STANDBY
This device is provided with an automatic standby mode which is automatically activated after 20 minutes of non-use. In standby mode, the power consumption of the turntable is reduced to less than 0.5 W to avoid unnecessary power consumption. The standby mode will be interrupted automatically as soon as the START/STOP button is pressed.
AUTO-STOP
Auto stop, also known as auto shut off, uses a system to halt the record from spinning once it has finished playing or the stylus doesn’t come into contact with the vinyl record for 5 minutes, rather than continuing to wear at the stylus.
BLUETOOTH
Connecting with the BLUETOOTH function, You can enjoy playing vinyl records by using your turntable’s BLUETOOTH function to connect wirelessly to a playback device (not supplied) that supports BLUETOOTH wireless technology, such as BLUETOOTH speakers or BLUETOOTH headphones.
PLACEMENT

• Do not place the unit in a location where it will be exposed to direct sunlight or near a heating appliance.
• Do not place the unit in a location where there is high humidity or a lot of dust.
• The cartridge may pick up slight sound pressures or vibrations of the speakers coming along the floor or through the air resulting in feedback or “howling” sound. Find a location that is very stable and vibration-free.
• The legs have functions for adjusting the height of the unit itself. Adjust the legs to stabilize the main body horizontally.

BEFORE USE
VERY IMPORTANT!!
Do not forget to attach a rubber belt to the motor for correct operation. After placing the Turntable Platter onto the turntable through the Center Spindle, move one of the large windows on the Platter to the top right corner.
*Attach rubber belt around the motor. (Rubber belt is already attached to the underside of the Turntable Platter.)**
Notes: (1) Do not connect the power adapter before assembly has been completed. (2) Before turning the power on, make sure once again all the connections and power voltage settings are correct. Always turn off the power when connecting or disconnecting. (3) Read this manual carefully before using the unit. Be sure to store the manual in a safe place for future reference.

PART NAMES and FUNCTIONS

1. 45-rpm Adaptor This adapter allows you to play standard 7″ EP vinyl records with large center holes. Place the adapter on the CENTER SPINDLE 7″ records.
2. Turntable Platter This platter connects directly to the center spindle. The platter and center spindle hold a vinyl record perfectly center. The platter also spins the record at a consistent speed.
3. Center Spindle This spindle holds the turntable PLATTER records stable and centered.
4. Strobe Indicators The PLATTER has four rows of indicators. These indicators are used to visually detail various stages of the pitch. The indicators are illuminated by the STROBE INDICATOR PILOT LAMP. Each row may appear to stand still at different pitch levels. Note: The use of heavy fluorescent lighting directly above the turntable will defeat the STROBE PILOT LAMP affect indicator accuracy.
5. Power On/Off Switch This is a rotary power switch. To turn the main power on turn the switch in a clockwise direction. To turn the main power off turn the switch in a counter-clockwise direction.
6. Start/Stop Button This oversized push-button controls platter motion. When the unit is turned on the platter will not automatically begin to spin. Pressing the button once will engage the high torque motor and spin the platter, pressing this again will stop the platter.
7. Headshell The included HEADSHELL is used to connect your stylus with the tonearm.
8. Speed Select Button The button is used to switch the platter rotation between 33 or 45 RPM. When the 33 RPM is engaged, the red LED will light up; when the 45 RPM is engaged, the green LED will light up.
9. Pairing Button/ Indicator Enables/disables the BLUETOOTH function. Press for about 2 seconds and release to turn on your turntable’s pairing mode. The indicator lights blue while the turntable is connected to the BLUETOOTH wireless technology-enabled playback device with the BLUETOOTH function. The indicator rapidly flashes blue while the turntable is in pairing mode, and turns off when the BLUETOOTH function is disabled. If there are no devices nearby that have already been paired when you press the PAIRING button with the BLUETOOTH function disabled, the indicator lights red and the turntable goes into standby.
10. Pitch Control Slider This slider is used to adjust the playback pitch percentage (platter speed).

12. Arm Rest Clamp and Rest Use this rest to safely hold the tonearm in position during nonuse and transportation.
13. Tonearm Lever This lever is used to safely elevate the tonearm above a record surface without endangering a record’s surface.
14. Anti-skate Knob The anti-skate applies inward force to the tonearm to prevent outward skipping across the record due to the centrifugal force caused by platter rotation. The anti-skate value should be equal to that of the stylus counterweight pressure.
15. Counterweight Use the counterweight to balance the tonearm and to adjust the stylus pressure.
16. Extra Headshell Holder This cutout has been designed to safely store an extra headshell.
17. DUST COVER HINGE HOLDERs Attachment points for dust cover hinges.
18. RCA output jack The output is switchable PHONO/LINE output. Depending on the position of the phono/line switch, you can connect the turntable to any phono or line input. Connect the RCA-cables (white=left channel, red=right channel) with the Phono-sockets of your amplifier or mixer.
19. Ground terminal (GND) Connect the ground lead with the ground terminal of your amplifier or mixer.
20. Phono/Line Switch This switch is used to change the mode of PHONO OUTPUT or LINE OUTPUT.
21. DC IN Jack

ASSEMBLY

1. Remove the main unit with the packing from the box and remove the packing.

2. Set the 45-rpm adaptor on the main unit.

3. Set the turntable platter onto the center spindle.

4. Set the slip mat on the platter.

5. Installation of cartridge: When installing a cartridge, refer to the operating instructions of that cartridge. During installation, attach the stylus protector to guard the stylus tip from damage. (a) Connect the lead wires to the cartridge terminals. The terminals of most cartridges are color-coded. Connect each lead wire to the terminal of the same color. White (L+) ………………..Left channel +
   Blue (L-) …………………Left channel-
   Red (R+)………………..Right channel +
   Green (R-)………………… Right channel
   (b) Install the cartridge to the headshell and tighten it with screws provided with the cartridge.

6. Insert the headshell into the front end of the tonearm, and then turn the lock nut counterclockwise with the headshell firmly held horizontally.

7. Slide counterweight onto tonearm. Twist it lightly and it will screw onto the rear shaft of the tonearm.

8. Adjustment of horizontal “zero” balance and stylus pressure:
   (a) Remove the stylus protector from the headshell; do not touch the stylus tip during the adjustment.
   (b) Set the tonearm lever to the lowered position.
   (c) Release the tonearm clamp and lift the tonearm from the armrest to free it.
   (d) Rotate the counterweight until the tonearm is approximately balanced horizontally (floats freely).
   (e) Refasten the tonearm with the tonearm clamp.
   f) Hold the counterweight stationary with one hand and rotate only the stylus- pressure ring to bring the number “0” of the ring into alignment with the centerline on the tonearm rear shaft.
   g) Rotate the counterweight including the stylus-pressure ring counterclockwise until the scale shows the value corresponding to the pressure of the stylus used. Should you use a separate Stylus, please follow the manufacturer’s instructions.

9. Set the anti-skating control knob to the same value as the stylus pressure. 10. Install the dust cover to the main unit’s dust cover hinges.

MAINTENANCE

• Clean the stylus periodically with a soft brush to prevent the accumulation of dust.
• When sound becomes distorted or noisy, check the stylus. If the stylus is worn out, replace it with a new one.
• From time to time, the dust cover and turntable cabinet should be wiped down with a soft, dry cloth.
• Volatile materials should not be used, such as alcohol, thinner, benzine, etc.
• They may remove the paint or damage the luster.

CONNECTIONS
You can connect to a speaker, etc. via Bluetooth Wireless Connection or RCA audio cable.
BLUETOOTH WIRELESS CONNECTION
When using Bluetooth, refer to the “Bluetooth Function” paragraph.

WIRED CONNECTION Before connecting the unit it is advised that you also consult your current equipment instruction manual.

1. Be sure to turn off the audio device, such as a stereo system or an amplifier, before connection. Be sure to make all the connections before you connect the power adaptor to a power outlet. Note: To avoid noise interference, place the AC adaptor body away from your turntable as far as possible.
2. Connect the RCA cable to the PHONO input of your AMPLIFIER when you set the PHONO/ LINE switch to the PHONO position. You can also use a line input by setting the PHONO/ LINE switch at the rear of the turntable to LINE.

NOTE: Be sure to connect the ground terminal firmly to the amplifier or receiver.
If this connection is not made or is loose, a power source “HUM” will result.

BLUETOOTH FUNCTION

Very Important

• The shakes from pressing the PAIRING button while playing a vinyl record may cause the stylus to skip.
  We strongly recommend connecting to BLUETOOTH before playing a vinyl record.

• Do not connect to headphones which you cannot adjust the volume.
  Audio tracks may be played at very loud volumes.

Pairing Devices to Your Turntable
When you first connect your turntable to a playback device that supports BLUETOOTH wireless technology, you must pair it with the device. The turntable can register information of up to 8 paired devices, without having to pair the next or subsequent times you connect the device to the turntable.

1. Place the playback device that supports BLUETOOTH wireless technology to which you want to connect, as close to your turntable as possible.
2. Press and hold your turntable’s PAIRING button for about 2 seconds, and then release it. The BLUETOOTH indicator rapidly flashes blue.
3. Turn on the pairing mode for the playback device that supports BLUETOOTH wireless technology, to which you want to connect.

The above illustration is one example of a device that is connecting. For how to turn on the pairing mode for the device to which you want to connect, refer to the user’s instructions supplied with the device. The BLUETOOTH indicator stops flashing blue and remains lit when the pairing is complete.
Note If you are only using the BLUETOOTH connection and not connecting your turntable to another device using the audio cable, set the OUTPUT SELECT switch on the back of the turntable to LINE to use the turntable.
Tip

· Once you have paired your turntable and device, you can connect to the paired device simply by giving a short press to the BLUETOOTH button/PAIRING button to enable your turntable’s BLUETOOTH function. You can also connect to the paired device and play vinyl records by pressing the START button on the front of the turntable when the BLUETOOTH indicator is lit orange (in standby).
· Press the BLUETOOTH button/ PAIRING button to disengage from the BLUETOOTH connection. The BLUETOOTH indicator turns off.
· You can register information for a maximum of 8 devices paired to your turntable. You can delete all information for paired devices by pressing and holding the BLUETOOTH button/ PAIRING button for about 10 seconds, and then releasing it.

If You Cannot Pair Devices

• If there are playback devices, which support BLUETOOTH wireless technology nearby, that have the BLUETOOTH function enabled, but some of them are not the device with which you want to pair, disable their BLUETOOTH function and try pairing again.
• With the pairing operation, the device with which you do not want to pair may be turned on and connected to the turntable automatically. If this occurs, change the device’s setting not to turn on by the BLUETOOTH connection, turn off the device, and try pairing again.
• You cannot pair your turntable with smartphones, TVs, or computers. The turntable can use the BLUETOOTH function to send data to playback devices that support BLUETOOTH wireless technology; however, because the turntable cannot receive data from smartphones, TVs, or computers, the turntable cannot pair with them.

QUICK-START

1. Turn the On/Off Switch clockwise to turn on the power, the speed indicator, and the strobe-illuminator, which is located beneath the On/Off switch, will light up.
2. Place a record on the slipmat. When playing a 45-rpm record with a large center hole, place the 45-rpm adapter on the center spindle.
3. Set the speed to match the record.
4.  Remove the stylus protector from the Headshell Stylus, release the Tonearm clamp.
5.  Set the tonearm lever to the up position.
6. Press the Start/Stop Button, the turntable platter will start to rotate.
7. Move the tonearm over the desired groove.
8. Set the tonearm lever to the down position, the tonearm will descend slowly onto the record and begin playing.
9. When play is finished, raise the tonearm lever, move the tonearm onto the Tonearm clamp.
10. Press the Start/Stop Button to stop the platter from rotating. Turn the On/Off Switch counterclockwise to turn off the power.

SUSPEND PLAY
Set the tonearm lever to the “UP” position during play, the stylus tip of the cartridge will be lifted from the record.

CHANGING THE SPEED

• As long as the pitch control is in the center “detent” click position, the turntable is operated at the selected speed.
• The speed can be increased or decreased by 10% by pitch control.
• An incorrect adjustment done on purpose can also be used to have the turntable rotate extremely slow or fast.
• The strobe dots at the edge of the turntable are used for speed monitoring.
