Read the operating instructions carefully before putting the appliance into operation and keep the instructions, the receipt and, if possible, the box with the internal packing. If you give this device to other people, please also pass on the operating instructions.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Ensure that the voltage indicated on the appliance rating label corresponds to the voltage in the mains.

  2. The appliance is designed exclusively for private, domestic use and for the envisaged purpose. This appliance is not suitable for commercial use.

  3. Do not use the appliance outdoors.

  4. CAUTION: To protect against risk of electric shock, do not immerse the cord, plug, adjustable thermostat or unit in water or any other liquid.

  5. Do not touch the appliance with wet or damp hands.

  6. Place the appliance on a flat surface. Do not place the appliance on or near flammable materials (curtains, carpets, etc.), radiators, ovens or other heat sources.

  7. Do not move the appliance during operation.

  8. CAUTION: The surface of the appliance develops high temperatures during operation. Do not touch the surface of the appliance during use. Always use the handles and special oven gloves to touch the hot surfaces of the appliance or to remove food. Allow the appliance to cool down before storage.

  9. Before cleaning, storing and adding / removing components, switch off the appliance and unplug it.

  10. Do not operate the appliance without supervision. If you should leave the workplace, always unplug the appliance.

  11. CAUTION: Take special care when using the appliance in places where there are children, the disabled or people with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities.

  12. The appliance can be used by people with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or lack of experience and knowledge, if they are supervised or instructed on how to use the device safely and understand the risks involved.

  13. This appliance may be used by children aged 8 years and over if they have been supervised or instructed in the safe use of the appliance and are aware of the risks involved. Cleaning and maintenance is prohibited for children unless they are older than 8 years and are supervised.

  14. Keep the appliance and its cord out of the reach of children.

  15. Do not let children play with the appliance.

  16. In order to ensure your children’s safety, please keep all packaging (plastic bags, boxes, polystyrene etc.) out of their reach.
    WARNING: Do not allow children to play with the foil. Danger of suffocation!

  17. Children are not allowed to use the appliance.

  18. Unplug the appliance when not in use and before cleaning.

  19. Do not attempt to repair the appliance by yourself. Contact a qualified technician.

  20. Periodically check the cable for damage.
    WARNING: Do not operate the appliance with a damaged cord. In order to avoid the risk of an electric shock, never try to repair the appliance by yourself. Bring it to the authorized service station for repair. Use only the original spare parts.
    CAUTION: Risk of electric shock or fire!
    • Do not disassemble the appliance.
    • Do not use additives or other components not supplied by the manufacturer.

  21. Do not let the power cord hanging off the edge of a table or bench, or come into contact with hot surfaces.

  22. Do not pull or stretch the appliance power cord.

  23. If the surface is cracked, disconnect the appliance from the power supply to avoid electric shock.

  24. Make sure the power cord is easily accessible at all times.

PARTS IDENTIFICATION

LiFE 221-0235 Grill Parts

  1. Bamboo base
  2. Non-stick baking tray (flat / grill)
  3. Liquid / fat collection tray
  4. Adjustable thermostat
  5. Adjustable thermostat socket
ASSEMBLY
  1. Place the bamboo base on a flat surface and away from flammable objects.
  2. Insert the non-stick baking tray into the base in such a way that the thermostat socket protrudes from the hole on the side of the base.
  3. Insert the Liquid / fat collection tray into the appropriate slot on the base to fit under the baking tray.
  4. Insert the adjustable thermostat into the slot on the side of the baking tray.
      NOTE: The thermostat must be in the “OFF” position before use.
BEFORE FIRST USE
  1. Read all instructions carefully and keep them for future reference.
  2. Remove all packing materials and keep them away from children.
  3. After unpacking the appliance, check for possible damage. In the event of a fault or visible problem, do not use the device and contact the store where you purchased it.
  4. It is recommended that you clean the appliance as described in the “CLEANING” section.
  5. Ensure that the voltage indicated on the appliance rating label corresponds to the voltage in the mains.
  6. Make sure that the appliance only plugs into a properly grounded and properly installed socket.
  7. Place the appliance on a flat surface and away from flammable objects. Always keep out of the reach of children.
  8. Set the thermostat to the maximum temperature “5”.
  9. Let the appliance work for about 5-10 minutes and then switch off the appliance by turning the thermostat to the “OFF” position and disconnect the appliance from the power supply.
HOW TO USE
  1. Ensure that the voltage indicated on the appliance rating label corresponds to the voltage in the mains.
  2. Make sure that the appliance only plugs into a properly grounded and properly installed socket.
  3. Place the appliance on a flat surface and away from flammable objects. Always keep out of the reach of children.
  4. Set the desired temperature using the adjustable thermostat. The indicator light will illuminate red.
  5. Once the appliance has warmed up and reached the desired temperature, the indicator light will go out. The temperature indicator light will flash sequentially during operation to maintain the desired temperature.
  6. Place the food on the baking tray.
  7. When cooking is complete, switch off the appliance by turning the thermostat to the “OFF” position and disconnect the appliance from the power supply.
CAUTION:

  • Do not immerse the thermostat in water or any other liquid.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Follow these instructions to properly and safely care for your device.

  1. Always disconnect the appliance from the power supply before cleaning or assembling and wait until the appliance has cooled down completely.
  2. Do not immerse the appliance and the thermostat in water or spill water directly on it as this could result in electric shock or fire.
  3. CAUTION: Do not use wire brushes or other sharp objects.
  4. Do not use acidic or abrasive detergents.
  5. Wipe the baking tray with a slightly damp cloth and dish detergent. Wipe with a clean, soft, damp cloth and dry well.
  6. Clean the housing with a slightly damp cloth without detergent.
  7. Leave all the parts to dry properly before re-assembling the appliance.
STORAGE
  1. Always unplug the power cord before storing the appliance.
  2. Make sure the appliance is cold and dry before storage.
  3. Always store the appliance away from children.
  4. Always store the appliance in a safe and clean place. For the best protection of the appliance, store it in its original packaging.
