SAFETY INSTRUCTION

WARNING

TO REDUCE THE RISK OF SEVERE INJURY OR DEATH TO PERSONS

  1. READ AND FOLLOW ALL INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
  2. Locate the Keypad:
  3. within sight of the door,
  4. at a minimum height of 5 feet (1 5 m) above floors. landings, steps or any other adjacent walking surface so small children are not able to reach it, and
  5. away from all moving parts of the door
  6. Activate the door ONLY when it can be seen clearly, is properly adjusted. and there are no obstructions to the door travel.

Preparation

  1. Locate the LEARN button on the operators On-Board Radio Receiver, refer to Figure 1 or the operators Installation 8 Instruction Manual.

  2. Ensure that the Rotary Selection Switch on the operators Electronic Control Board (ECB) is set to B2 (1), T (4) or TS (5).

  3. Undo the screw from the bottom of the case and remove the back cover from the Keypad to install the AAA battery refer to Figure 2

  4. Program the Keypad prior to mounting.

New Installation

Program an Initial PIN

  1. Enter the factory default PIN ( 0 0 0 0 ] on the Keypad Then press the [ * ] button
  2. Enter a new PIN (2 to 8 digits) of your choice [ ? ? ? ?] Then press the (*) button
  3. Re-enter the new PIN [ ? ? ? ? ] to confirm Then press the [ * ] button

The new PIN is confirmed once the Keypad’s backlit LED flashes 3 times and the unit emits a Long beep.

Anti-Theft Feature

The Keypad is designed with a secunly feature to prevent thieves from continuously guessing the PIN If there are 10 consecutive incorrect PIN attempts made by the user. the Keypad will auto-lock itself for a period of 10 minutes Removing the battery will not disengage the anti-theft feature Wail for a period of 10 minutes before resuming to program the Keypad

  • The Keypad is ready to receive an input as soon as the unit emits a beep when a button is pressed

Timeout Feature

In the event that more than 15 seconds has elapsed between any two keypad inputs during the programming procedure. the unit will emit an error code of 5 short successive beeps.

  • The programming procedure in progress must be restarted.

Keypad Pairing I Programming Instructions

SINGLE Door Mode Programming Instructions
Allow for 1 door to be operated by the Keypad.

  • The Keypad will omit 3 beeps as confirmation

  • The Keypad will emit 3 beeps as confirmation.

  • The Keypad will emit 3 beeps as confirmation and the door operator w It activate

MULTIPLE Door Mode Programming Instructions

Allows for a multiple doors (max of 4) to be operated by the Keypad.

  1. Press and HOLD the LEARN button on the On-Board Radio Receiver for approx 2 sec or until the WHITE LED on the Receiver flashes
  2. Enter the PIN [ ? ? ? ? ]
  3.  Then press the [ # ] button Then the [ DOOR Number ] (1 to 4)
  4. Repeat the procedure above for the remaining doors.

Enter the PIN [ ? ? ? ? ] Then press the following sequence of buttons [ # ][ 1 ]To operate DOOR 2:
Enter the PIN [ ? ? ? ? ] Then press the following sequence of buttons [ # ][ 2 ]

To operate DOOR 3:
Enter the PIN [ ? ? ? ? ] Then press the following sequence of buttons [ # ][ 3 ]

To operate DOOR  4 :
Enter the PIN [ ? ? ? ? ] Then press the following sequence of buttons [ # ][ 4 ]

  • The Keypad will emit 3 beeps as confirmation.

  • After each door is programmed the Keypad will emit 3 beeps as confirmation.

  • The Keypad will emit 3 beeps as confirmation and the appropriate door operator will activate.

Mounting Instructions

  1. Select a desired location to mount the Keypad at a minimum height of 5 feet (1 5 m).
  2. Secure the back cover at the desired location with the two anchors and screws provided. refer to Figure 3.
  3. Re-install the keypad unit to the back cover.
  4. Gently tighten the screw at the bottom of the case.

Troubleshooting

Change an Existing PIN

  1. Enter the programmed PIN [ ? ? ? ? ] that you want to change on the Keypad
    Then press the [ * ] button

  2. Enter a new PIN (2 to 8 digits) of your chows [ ? ? ? ? ] Then press the [ * ] button

  3. Re-enter the new PIN [ ? ? ? ? ] to confirm
    Then press the [ * ] button

    • The new PIN is confirmed once the Keypad’s backlit LED flashes 3 times and the unit emits a long beep.

Reset Keypad to Factory Default Settings (when PIN is unknown or forgotten)

  1. Remove the AAA battery from the Keypad, refer to Figure 2 p4
  2. Press and HOLD the [ # ] and [ * ] buttons simultaneously. while inserting the AAA battery in the Keypad. refer to Figure 4 and **Figure 5

  * The Keypad will emit a long beep
  1. Release [ # ] and [ * ] buttons
    • The beep will stop after several seconds
    • The PIN has been reset to the factory default PIN [ 0 0 0 0 ]and pairing between the On-Board Radio Receiver and the Keypad is lost.
    • Refer to the instruction on how to Program an Initial PIN on p 2 and the Keypad Pairing / Programming Instructions on p.2.

DELETE On-Board Radio Receiver Memory

  1. Press and HOLD the Receiver’s LEARN button on the On-Board Radio Receiver for approx 10 sec or until the WHITE LED on the Receiver flashes quickly
    • This will clear the pairing of an transmitters (radio remotes and keypads) with the On-Board Rada Receiver.
