Important Instructions For Safe Use

WARNING: To avoid the risk of serious injury when using your Vitamix® Immersion Blender, basic safety precautions should be followed, including the following.
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS, SAFEGUARDS, AND WARNINGS BEFORE OPERATING IMMERSION BLENDER.

  1. Read all instructions.
  2. To protect against the risk of electrical shock, DO NOT put the Immersion Blender in water or other liquid.
  3. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they are closely supervised and instructed concerning the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
  4. Turn the appliance OFF, then unplug from the outlet when not in use, before assembling or disassembling parts and before To unplug, grasp the plug and pull from the outlet. Never pull from the power cord.

  7. The use of the attachments not recommended or sold by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or injury.
  8. DO NOT use outdoors.
  9. DO NOT let the power cord hang over the edge of the table or counter. DO NOT let the power cord contact hot surfaces, including the stove.
  10. Do not process frozen meat or meat with bones with the chopping blade.
  11. Do not process frozen fruit or vegetables or hard fruit or vegetables with the chopping blade
  12. The maximum rating is based on the food chopper attachment that draws the greatest load (power or current) and that other recommended attachments may draw significantly less power or current.
  13. Keep hands and utensils away from the cutting blade while chopping food to reduce the risk of severe injury to persons or damage to the food chopper. A scraper may be used but only when the food chopper is not running.
  14. The blades are sharp. Handle and clean the blades with extreme care to avoid injury.
  15. To reduce the risk of injury, never place the cutting blade on base without first putting the bowl properly in place.
  16. Be certain the cover is securely locked in place before operating the appliance.
  17. When mixing liquids, especially hot liquids, use a tall container or make small quantities at a time to reduce spillage.
  18. This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electrical shock, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. DO NOT modify the plug in any way.

To Avoid Injury. NEVER TOUCH MOVING PARTS. Keep hands, hair, clothing, and utensils away from all accessories during operation to reduce the risk of severe injury to persons and/or damage to the Immersion Blender.
Keep hands and utensils out of containers and cups during operation. DO NOT insert fingers or utensils in the processing area.
After processing, the whisk will continue to spin until it comes to a complete stop. Allow the whisk to come to a complete stop before detaching the motor from the whisk.
The blades in the chopper attachment will continue to spin until they come to a complete stop. Allow the blades to come to a complete stop before detaching the motor from the chopper attachment.
Make sure the twist-lock connection between the motor body and the attachment is secure before processing.
If the attachment separates from the motor body during processing, Immediately release the On/Off button and attempt to attach to the motor body. If a problem persists, contact Vitamix Customer Service for support.
TO AVOID DAMAGE AND INJURY DO NOT use an immersion blender in a Vitamix blending container with a blade assembly.

Use and care to whisk Attachment

WARNINGS:

  • TO AVOID INJURY, If blending in a pot or pan, remove it from the heat source before whisking.
  • TO AVOID DAMAGE, The whisk is not an anti-scratch attachment. Use care to avoid damage to the coatings.
  • TO AVOID DAMAGE AND INJURY. DO NOT immerse the motor body and cord assembly in water or any other liquid.
  • Parts will become hot with extended use.
  • DO NOT touch the drive socket in the immersion motor or the drive spline in the attachment connector.

Notes:

  • Never submerge the motor body in
  • When you begin to process, especially with hot ingredients, always start on low speed and gradually increase the speed to avoid splattering and over-processing. One bar = low speed. Five bars = high speed.
  • Use a tall container or make small quantities reduce spillage or
  • DO NOT use the immersion blender for more than 4 minutes continuously.

USE

  1. The whisk attachment will be in two pieces. Attach the whisk to the collar.
    Insert the pin end of the wisk into the opening in the attachment collar.
    Push the pin into the attachment collar until
    Slightly pull on the whisk to make sure it is secured by the attachment collar.

  2. Line up the channels on the immersion blender motor assembly and whisk attachment collar. Put them together and turn a 1/4 turn counter-clockwise until you hear the whisk lock into place.

  3. Plug the immersion blender power cord into an outlet.

  4. Place ingredients into a sufficiently large mixing bowl, container, cup or saucepan.

  5. Lower the whisk into the container with ingredients. Make sure the whisk is completely submerged.

  6. To start processing, press and hold the On/Off button. If using a recipe, follow the guidelines for optimal results.

  7. Slowly move the whisk around in the ingredients..

  8. To stop, release the On/Off button.

  9. Allow the whisk to come to a complete stop.

  10. Unplug the immersion blender.

  11. Detach the whisk from the motor body.

  12. Use a spatula to carefully remove any stuck in the whisk.

CARE
The whisk attachment is top-rack dishwasher safe.
NOTES:

  • Ensure no water remains inside the whisk attachment to avoid water running into the motor body when
  • The immersion blender motor assembly is not dishwasher safe.
  • DO NOT allow the whisk to soak in water for long periods of time.
  1. Unplug the immersion blender.
  2. Using a 1/4 clockwise turn, remove the whisk attachment from the motor body.
  3. Wash the whisk attachment in warm soapy water.
  4. Rinse and dry thoroughly.

WARNINGS:

  • TO AVOID INJURY, handle the blade assembly carefully. The blades are picked up in the blade assembly by the center post when handling.
  • TO AVOID INJURY, when unpacking the attachment, carefully remove the guard from the blade
  • NEVER process with damaged Contact Vitamix Customer Support for assistance.
  • TO AVOID DAMAGE, Never place the chopper bowl in a microwave.

WARRANTY

3-YEAR FULL WARRANTY ON SEPARATELY SOLD CUPS AND COMPONENTS

  1. WHAT IS COVERED.
    Vita-Mix Corporation (“Vitamix”) warrants that accessory parts (collectively and individually referred to as “Component”) that is purchased separately from an immersion blender will be free from defects in material or workmanship and will withstand wear and tear from ordinary household use for 3 years from the date of purchase. Vitamix will, within 30 days of receipt of the returned product, repair the failed Component free of charge. If, in Vitamix’s sole discretion, the failed Component cannot be repaired,  Vitamix will elect to either (A) replace the Component free of charge or (B) refund the full purchase price to the owner, unless Vitamix receives prior written notice of the owner’s preference.

  2. WHAT IS NOT COVERED.
    This Warranty applies only to owners for ordinary household use. This Warranty does not cover cosmetic changes that do not affect performance, such as discoloration or the effects of the use of abrasives or cleaners or food build-up. This Warranty is only valid if the Component is used in accordance with the instructions, warnings, and safeguards contained in the owner’s manual.
    Grinding certain herbs and spices will result in the cosmetic marring of the work bowl and may cause the blades to wear prematurely. Traces of sand, coarse gritty, and abrasive herbs will also cause the blades to wear prematurely. Herbs may contain volatile oils, causing the work bowl to retain the oils and causing permanent discoloration. Your work bowl and blade assembly are not covered under the Vitamix warranty under these circumstances.
    Vitamix will not be responsible for the cost of any unauthorized warranty repairs.
    REPAIR, REPLACEMENT, OR REFUND OF THE PURCHASE PRICE ARE THE EXCLUSIVE REMEDIES OF THE PURCHASER AND THE SOLE  LIABILITY OF VITAMIX UNDER THIS WARRANTY. NO EMPLOYEE OR REPRESENTATIVE OF VITAMIX IS AUTHORIZED TO MAKE ANY  ADDITIONAL WARRANTY OR ANY MODIFICATION TO THIS WARRANTY THAT MAY BE BINDING UPON VITAMIX. ACCORDINGLY, THE PURCHASER SHOULD NOT RELY UPON ANY ADDITIONAL STATEMENTS MADE BY ANY EMPLOYEE OR REPRESENTATIVE OF VITAMIX. IN NO EVENT, WHETHER BASED ON CONTRACT, INDEMNITY, WARRANTY, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STRICT LIABILITY, OR  OTHERWISE, SHALL VITAMIX BE LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFIT OR REVENUE.
    Some states do not allow limits on warranties. In such states, the above limitations may not apply to you. Outside the U.S.A. and Canada, other warranties may apply.

  3. WHAT VOIDS THIS WARRANTY.
    Abuse, misuse, negligent use, alteration of the Component, exposure to abnormal or extreme conditions, or failure to follow the operating instructions, will void this Warranty.
    The Warranty is also void if repairs to the Component is performed by someone other than Vitamix or an authorized Vitamix Service Provider or if any part subject to this  Warranty is used in combination with products that are not expressly authorized by Vitamix.

  4. HOW TO OBTAIN RETURN AUTHORIZATION UNDER THIS WARRANTY.
    In the event the Component needs service or repair, please call Vitamix Customer Service at 1.800.848.2649. You will be asked to provide a date of purchase and proof of purchase for any product that has not been registered with Vitamix. For products subject to this Warranty you will be provided with a return authorization number, up-to-date shipping instructions, and a pre- paid return pick-up label. Vitamix will pay standard shipping costs on the return of a Component for warranty service and repair and for return shipment of the product to you after the warranty repair or replacement. Purchaser is responsible for the costs of special shipping requests. Within the U.S.A. and Canada, this Warranty is honored directly through the Vita-Mix® Corporation.
    You will be deemed to have accepted the returned product “as is” upon delivery unless you notify Vitamix of any problem, including shipment damage, within 48 hours of delivery.
