Congratulations on your new HomeStudio Starter Kit.
With this kit, you can set up your own personal studio at home and film or
photograph against a green background like the pros. This process is called
„green screen“ or „color keying“. There are a lot of apps that allow you to
easily replace the green background with your own picture or video so that it
looks like you are in that place. You alone decide which background you want
to be seen behind you.

- Keep this manual in a safe place. If you sell or pass on the product, make sure that you also pass on these instructions for use.
Understanding these instructions for use correctly Markings on the device
This symbol means that your product complies with the safety requirements of
all applicable EU directives.
Waste disposal and protection of the environment
Electric and electronic appliances, as well as batteries, must not be disposed
of together with domestic waste. The user is legally obliged to return
electric and electronic appliances as well as batteries to specially set up
public collecting points or the sales outlet once they have reached the end of
their service life. Details are regulated by national law. The symbol on the
product, the instructions for use or the packaging refers to these provisions.
Recycling, material-sensitive recycling or any other form of recycling of
waste equipment/batteries is an important contribution to the protection of
our environment.
The product is suitable for use by children aged 6 years and over under adult
supervision. Assembly must be carried out or supervised by adults.
NOTICE
Have an adult help you set up, especially if you are still a child.
If you want to install an app for using the greenscreen on your smartphone,
discuss this with your parents beforehand and get their permission. Follow the
app‘s safety instructions for online use.
Removing the device from the packaging and checking it
Carefully remove all parts from the packaging.
Check that all parts are present:
A 1 x tripod
B 1 x LED ring light
C 1 x ball head
D 1 x smartphone holder
E 1 x tripod clamp for smartphone holder
F 1 x microphone
G 1 x extension cable
H 1 x adapter USB type-C
I 1 x green fabric background (green screen)
J 2 x clamps
K 2 x fastening rings
Check that the parts are not damaged.

Within the scope of product improvements, we reserve the right for technical
and optical changes. Not subject to identification as per RL 2010/30/EC – Not
suitable for illumination purposes in households. Specially developed for
photo and video shooting requirements.
Set-up:
Setting up the tripod
Loosen the screw on the tripod legs.
Pull the legs apart so that the tripod can stand on its own and tighten the
screw on the tripod legs.
Make sure that the tripod stands securely.
**CAUTION**
The tripod legs are difficult to pull apart. There is a risk of pinching your
fingers.
Have an adult help you assemble the tripod.
Mounting the LED ring light
Attach the LED ring light to the ball head.
The LED can be swiveled due to the mobility of the head.
Secure the ball in the desired position by tightening the screw on the ball
head.
Screw the ball head onto the thread of the lamp tripod.
The LED ring light is supplied with power via a USB cable.
Plug the USB cable either into the USB port of the PC or laptop, use a power
bank or a regular USB power supply.
The LED can be operated via the control on the cable of the lamp. Here, the
LED can be switched on or off, the brightness can be adjusted in ten steps and
the colour
temperature (warm white, universal white or cool white daylight) can be
adjusted.
Mounting the smartphone
Mount the smartphone holder directly on the centre column of the tripod using
the bracket. Check that the holder is firmly attached.
You can attach smartphones with a width of up to 9 cm to the holder.
Carefully place the smartphone in the holder. Hold the smartphone securely so
that it does not fall to the ground. Only release the smartphone when it is
securely clamped in the smartphone holder and can no longer slip.
Hanging the green fabric background – greenscreen
Find a suitable place to hang the fabric background. Attach it with the rings provided (e.g. to a steel cable or pipe) or the clamps (e.g. to shelves).
Composition of the scene
Find a suitable place for the greenscreen and hang it up.
Place the tripod with LED and smartphone in front of the green screen. Make
sure that the screen of the camera is completely filled with the green fabric.
Also make sure that the green screen is evenly illuminated by the LED. Avoid
wrinkles and ripples in the fabric.
Before you start, connect the microphone to the camera.
Stand in front of the camera with your back to the green screen. Look into the
camera of your smartphone.
Connect the microphone
Connect the microphone to the smartphone.
If your smartphone has a 3.5 mm jack, you can plug the microphone indirectly.
If the smartphone features a USB-C input, use the USB-C adapter supplied. If
it features a Lightning input (iPhone), please use your own adapter from 3.5
mm jack to Lightning. If the microphone cable is not long enough, you can
simply extend it. To extend it, use the extension cable provided and plug it
in between the microphone and the adapter. Now you can start recording.
Tip: It‘s best to make a few test recordings before you put something on the
internet,
share it with others or stream it. Ask your parents for advice.
Substituting the green background using an app
You can replace the green background with any background image or background video using apps (for Android in the Google Play Store, for iPhones in the App Store). To do this, download an appropriate app. For example, you can use the search term „greenscreen“ or „chroma keying“ to find such apps. Please consult adults, as data protection information must be observed and costs may be involved.
NOTICE
Many apps offer a free basic version and a more extensive full version for
which a fee is charged.
These apps usually remove the green background on their own. You can select a
new background using a picture icon.
There are also more advanced video editing apps that can be used to replace
the green background in a video file, e.g. iMovie (iOS) or KineMaster
(Android).
Note to parents on the general safe use of the internet
Please accompany children and young people intensively when they are using
social media apps. Be sure to observe the age restrictions of chats,
communities and social
media apps.

Set up the smartphone together with your child. Make sure that the security settings are correct. Accompany your child, especially at the beginning. Check the videos your
child wants to upload and the text description beforehand. -
Be aware of possible costs. Apps can basically allow „in-app purchases“, which can result in high costs.

Copyright infringements: Distributing copyrighted content can lead to copyright infringement. This can also apply to the mere downloading of protected content.
Cyberbullying
The apparent anonymity, ease of distribution with a click and the habit of
quickly sharing funny or embarrassing content can become a danger if used
purposefully or even unknowingly for bullying. Remember that once data
(videos, pictures, texts) is posted on the internet, it hardly ever
disappears, even if you delete it again. „The internet never
forgets.“ Data can be stored and called up in Internet archives, for example,
without you being able to delete them.
