Christmas Colour Your Own Decorative Plate
Instructions
Clean the
plate. Then paint on it with the paintbrush.
After you
have finished painting, dry the plate for 1 day.
Place the
plate in an oven (normal gas or electrical), but NOT a microwave.
Heat the plate in
the oven with the temperature of 100°C / 212°F for around 25 minutes.
Do not take it out immediately.
After cooling off,
take the plate out of your oven.
Your plate is now
complete!
PREPARATION:
- Wear a protective apron at all times.
- Refer to the packaging box as inspiration when painting, or create your own design.
- Use newspaper or a protective cover on your work area before you start painting.
- Keep the paint lids closed after use.
- Thoroughly wash the paint brush with water after each use and before dipping it into another paint tub.
CAUTION:
- Ensure to let your plate cool down before removing it from the oven as it is very hot.
- Before you place the plate in the oven, ensure it has dried for 24 hours after you have finished painting. Paint colours will be dull if it is not completely dry.
- Only use a normal gas or electrical oven, NOT a microwave.
TIPS:
- Add a couple drops of water to paint which look dry or sticky.
- Mix different paints together to create new colours.
- If you make a mistake when you are painting, just wipe the paint off with a tissue or wash the plate. However, the paint cannot be washed or wiped off easily after baking. 4. Allow the plate to cool completely before use.
NOTE:
Mixing Yellow and Red will make a close shade to Orange.
Mixing White and Red will make a close shade to Pink.
Mixing White and Green will make a close shade to Light Green.
Mixing White and Blue will make a close shade to Light Blue.
Mixing White and Brown will make a close shade to Light Brown.
Mixing White and Black will make a close shade to Grey.
