SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Before use make sure to read all of the below instructions in order to avoid
injury or damage, and to get the best results from the appliance. Make sure to
keep this manual in a safe place. If you give or transfer this appliance to
someone else make sure to also include this manual.
In case of damage caused by user failing to follow the instructions in this
manual the warranty will be void. The manufacturer/importer accepts no
liability for damages caused by failure to follow the manual, a negligent use
or use not in accordance with the requirements of this manual.
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
- Children shall not play with the appliance.
- Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 years and supervised.
- Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
- Regarding the instructions for cleaning the surfaces which come in contact with food, please refer to the paragraph “CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE” of the manual.
- This appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.
- This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as: staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments; farm houses; by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environment; bed and breakfast type environments.
- Before inserting the plug into the mains socket, please check that the voltage and frequency comply with the specifications on the rating label.
- Always plug the appliance into an earthed plug socket.
- If an extension cord is used it must be suited to the power consumption of the appliance, otherwise overheating of the extension cord and/or plug may occur. There is a potential risk of injuries from tripping over the extension cord. Be careful to avoid dangerous situations.
- Disconnect the mains plug from the socket when the appliance is not in use and before cleaning.
- Ensure that the mains cable is not hung over sharp edges and keep it away from hot objects and open flames.
- Do not immerse the appliance or the mains plug in water or other liquids. There is danger to life due to electric shock!
- To remove the plug from the plug socket, pull the plug. Do not pull the power cord.
- Do not touch the appliance if it falls into water. Remove the plug from its socket, turn off the appliance and send it to an authorized service center for repair.
- Do not plug or unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet with a wet hand.
- Never attempt to open the housing of the appliance, or to repair the appliance yourself. This could cause electric shock.
- Never leave the appliance unattended during use.
- This appliance is not designed for commercial use.
- Do not use the appliance for other than intended use.
- Do not wind the cord around the appliance and do not bend it.
- Always operate the popcorn maker on a secure, dry, level surface.
- Always allow adequate air space above and on all sides for air circulation. Do not allow the popcorn maker to touch curtains, wall coverings, clothing, dishtowels or other flammable materials during use. Do not use under cupboards or curtains.
- Always allow the popcorn maker to cool before cleaning and storing.
- Never use this appliance outdoors.
- Warning: do not operate the popcorn maker for more than 5 minutes at a time. Allow a 15 minutes break between cooking a second cycle of popped corn. This will allow the units motor to cool down.
- Caution is required on surface where heat may cause a problem – an insulated heat pad is recommended.
- Never place this appliance on or near a hot gas or electric burner or where it could touch a heated oven or microwave oven.
- Never place any part of this appliance in a dishwasher.

OPERATION GUIDELINES
NOTE: Before using the popcorn maker for the first time, we recommend you clean the unit following the instructions under “CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE”. Place the appliance on a flat, dry and level surface.
- Remove the top cover from the top of the appliance.
- Pick up the kernel cap on the top of the transparent cover and have it filled with kernels. IMPORTANT: Do not overfill or underfill the cap. Underfilling the cap can cause less kernels to popping. Overfilling can cause burning and smoke. NEVER PLACE BUTTER OR OIL IN THE POPCORN CHAMBER.
- Pour the entire cap of kernels into the popcorn chamber through the hole. Place the cap back to its position.
- Place the top cover as a bowl or place a suitable container beneath the popcorn chute to catch the popcorn.
- Insert the plug into a suitable power outlet. Turn on the unit by press the on/off switch to position “I”.
- The popped corn will shoot out the chamber and into the bowl.
CAUTION: DO NOT TOUCH THE POPCORN MAKER COVER DURING OR IMMEDIATELY AFTER
OPERATION. THE UNIT WILL BE EXTREMELY HOT.
DO NOT OPERATE THE POPCORN MAKER FOR MORE THAN 5 MINUTES AT A TIME. ALLOW A 15
MINUTES BREAK BETWEEN COOKING A SECOND CYCLE OF POPPED CORN. THIS WILL ALLOW
THE UNIT MOTOR TO COOL DOWN.
OPERATING YOUR POPCORN MAKER CONTINUED…
- When the rate of popping becomes less than about 1 per second, turn the on/off switch to the position “O”. Allow the unit to cool for at least 2 minutes before removing the transparent cover. We recommend oven mitts are used to remove the cover. Due to variations in the kernels, you may find not all kernels have popped.
- Ensure the appliance is turned off after use. Allow to cool before re-using, cleaning or storing.
HELPFUL HINTS
- This product uses hot air circulation in the popping chamber to pop the kernels. To avoid damage to your Popcorn Maker, never add butter, oil or any other substance to the popping chamber.
- Never use microwave popcorn in your Popcorn Maker.
- Use only fresh popcorn kernels. Old or stale kernels may cause scorching or smoking during operation.
- Take care when selecting the bowl for catching your popcorn.
- A metal bowl may become hot, exercise caution when moving the bowl.
- If using a plastic bowl, ensure it can withstand the heated air which flows from the Popcorn Maker while in use.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- Turn the popcorn maker’s on/off switch to the position “O” and ensure it is unplugged from the power supply.
- Ensure the unit has cooled fully prior to cleaning, reusing or storing.
- Wash the top cover, transparent cover, and measuring cap in warm soapy water, rinse and dry thoroughly.
- Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the internal popping chamber.
- Clean the base of the unit with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
- Never immerse the popcorn maker’s body, cord set or plug in water or any other liquid. Do not place any part of the appliance in a dishwasher.
- Do not use abrasive cleaning products on this appliance.
- Store the assembled appliance in a clean, dry area.
RECIPES
Peanut Butter Popcorn
- 1/2 cup of golden syrup
- 1/2 cup of sugar
- 1/2 cup of peanut butter
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla
- 6-8 cups of popped corn
- In a small pan, over medium heat melt together the golden syrup and sugar.
- Add the peanut butter and stir until melted; do not allow the mixture to boil.
- Remove from heat, add vanilla and stir.
- Pour over popped corn.
- Serve when cool.
Chocolate Lovers Popcorn
- 1/2 cup of icing sugar
- 1/2 cup of cocoa
- 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1/4 cup of butter or margarine
- 6 cups of popped corn
- Sift all three ingredients together.
- Spoon into an air tight glass jar and seal.
- When ready to use, melt butter or margarine in a small saucepan over medium heat.
- Measure out 1/4 of a cup of the Popcorn Mix and add to the melted butter.
- Stir until well combined, remove from heat and drizzle over popped corn.
- Serve when topping has cooled slightly.
Caramel Popcorn
- 3/4 cup of brown sugar
- 3/4 cup of white sugar
- 1 tablespoon of butter
- 3 tablespoons of water
- 6-8 cups of popped corn
- Mix brown sugar, white sugar, butter and water in a saucepan.
- Bring the mixture to boil and boil until the mixture forms a thread (when a spoon is pulled out of the mixture a thread-like substance forms in the air).
- Pour over popped corn.
- Serve when the topping has cooled.
