Driving
RIDING OPERATION
Preparation
- find suitable terrain
- fold up the scooter according to the instructions (p.11)
- adjust the handlebars according to your height
Drive off
- press the POWER button to switch on the scooter
- place one foot on the running board and leave the other on the ground.
Press the right thumb throttle slowly and carefully downwards – the scooter immediately moves slowly forward. Remove the second foot from the floor and place this foot on the running board as well. The more the thumb throttle grip is pressed, the more the scooter accelerates and the faster the ride becomes.
Brakes
- under normal conditions the right thumb brake lever is pressed down and the electromagnetic brake is activated and the scooter immediately slows down and the flow of energy to the motor is interrupted The more the brake lever is pressed down the more the scooter brakes. The electromagnetic brake also activates the KERS system (kinetic energy recovery system), which feeds the braking energy back into the battery in the same way as on Formula 1 cars.
- the SXT LightGT also has a conventional mechanical foot brake at the rear. The mechanical brake slows down the scooter on the rear axle. No matter what situation you are in, if the first system fails, you will still have the mechanical foot brake on the rear axle.
Kick start function
This function is for your safety. If the scooter is to be used, you should
kick / drive it with one foot to set the scooter in motion and then press the
thumb throttle handle first and the scooter will start moving with motor power.
This protects the motor and prevents the scooter from accidentally setting
itself in motion if the throttle stick is pressed inadvertently.
Battery and charging
The SXT Light GT is equipped with a special lithium-polymer battery and a
special smart charger. These accessories, which are supplied with each
scooter, have their own number. Please do not use chargers of other brands. If
the battery or charger is damaged, the warranty will be void.
Battery
If you are getting the electric scooter for the first time, please fully charge
the battery before using it. The battery can be charged at any time, please
ensure that the battery is powered. Attention: Do not use batteries of other
brands, they will not work with the scooter SXT Light GT.
Please charge the battery every three months when you are no longer using the
scooter. Immersion in water, collisions and other abnormal factors will cause
battery damage that is not covered under warranty.
Charger
The company provides a charger with a charge protection function. When the
battery is 100% charged, the charger automatically stops charging. Charging
time is no more than 3 hours. Immersion in water, collisions and other
abnormal factors will cause damage to the charger that is not covered under
warranty.
Quick Guide to Charging the Electric Scooter
1. connect the charger plug to the power outlet first The LED turns green.
Open the protective rubber cover of the charging opening, insert the charger
plug into the charging opening. It means that it is charging when the charging
indicator lights red, the charging indicator lights green when the battery is
fully charged.
Charging
CHARGING THE BATTERY
-
First plug the power cable into the socket and then the cable into the socket of the scooter.
When the input and output of the charger is connected to the scooter, the red indicator lights up. The battery is full when the indicator light changes from red to green. At this time Remove the charger and replace the protective cover. -
Standard charging time:
The scooter is charged for the specifi ed period of time, approx. 3-5 hours, at ambient tempera-ture between -10°C and 50°C for the associated charger.![SXT- Scooters GT Electric Light Scooter fig 13]](https://manuals.plus/wp- content/uploads/2022/02/SXT-Scooters-GT-Electric-Light-Scooter-fig-13.jpg)
LOADING INSTRUCTIONS
- The safety protection for the charging connection should be reattached after the scooter has been charged.
- The scooter should not be kept within reach of children during charging.
- Under no circumstances should a charger other than the one supplied be used to charge the scooter. In addition, the supplied charger can be used exclusively for this scooter.
- Do not disassemble a charger that is not working. Please contact your dealer.
Charging instructions
- The battery should not be stored near fi re or corrosive environments, as it is easily fl ammab-le.
- Do not smear or remove the label on the battery.
- The battery compartment should not be opened to avoid damage to parts inside the battery. If the battery is not charging, please contact the dealer.
To keep the battery in good condition, it should be charged at regular intervals, every 20-30 days.
Warning:
Do not connect the charger to the scooter when the charger cable or charging
connector is wet.
Note:
Typically, a fully charged battery in standby mode should last for 120-180
days, a lightly charged battery for 30-60 days. Please remember to charge the
battery after each use. If the battery is completely discharged, it may damage
the battery.
Charging information for lithium batteries
Lithium batteries should never be deeply discharged, as this will irreparably
damage the lithium cells. All lithium batteries should (if possible) always be
stored with a medium charge. If a battery is not used for a longer period of
time, please do not fully charge it beforehand
– this places the lithium cells in unnecessary “stress” which can lead to a
shortened service life in the long term. If you have the choice when using the
battery, we recommend not to charge it completely, but always to use it in the
medium-voltage range. Of course, the battery can be fully charged to drive
long distances, for example – it is only technically best for a lithium
battery not to do so in order to really get the maximum performance and life
out of the battery. The lifetime of lithium batteries is given in charge
cycles. Don’t think you are
“wasting” many charging cycles by recharging the lithium battery more often
even though it hasn’t “run out” – this is completely wrong! The indicated
service life in charging cycles refers to so-called full cycles. This means
that if you discharge your battery by 50% and then fully charge it again, this
corresponds to ½ charging cycle. Charge twice, corresponding to one full
cycle. We recommend recharging a lithium battery with 25% residual charge up
to approx. 75% state of charge.
For long distances the battery can of course also be fully charged – see
above. During hiber-nation or long storage of vehicles with lithium batteries
it is absolutely necessary to recharge them at least once a month up to
approx. 60%. For lithium batteries, only use chargers approved and recommended
by the manufacturer. Charging with too high a charging current to be able to
charge faster can irreparably damage the lithium cells and, in the worst case,
lead to fi re.
Maintenance
Lubricating
Please add a small amount of grease or lubricants to handle folded position
every six months. Please check scooter every three months if the screws are
loose it up.
Battery
The lithium polymer batteries provided by our company can be recharged at
least 500 times, the normal use can reach more than 1,000 times.
Placement and daily care
Do not expose the scooter under the sun or wet places for too long time.
Please keep the scooter clean and dry.
For cleaning use a damp cloth and a mild detergent.

Battery Recycling
When properly maintained and used (in accordance with the guidelines for
loading and stora-ge), the battery will have a normal life of two to three
years. If the battery can not be rechar-ged or charged properly, it should be
removed from the Scooter and disposed of a recycling facility.
Federal laws prohibit the disposal of batteries in normal household waste.
Please contact your local waste or recycling authority for information in your
area to recycle the battery.
Batteries or packaging for batteries are labeled in accordance with European
Directive 2006/66/EC concerning batteries and accumulators and waste batteries
and accumulators. The Directive determines the framework for the return and
recycling of used batteries and accumulators as applicable throughout the
European Union. This label is applied to various batteries to indicate that
the battery is not to be thrown away, but rather reclaimed upon end of life
per this Directive in accordance with the European Directive 2006/66/EC,
batteries and accumulators are labeled to indicate that they are to be
collected separately and recycled at end of life. The battery(Pb for lead, Hg
for mercury, and Cd for cadmium). Users of batte-ries and accumulators must
not dispose of batteries and accumulators as unsorted municipal waste, but use
the collection framework available to customers for the return, recycling, and
treatment of batteries and accumulators. Customer participation is important
to minimize any potential effects of batteries and accumulators on the
environment and human health due to the potential presence of hazardous
substances.
