Before you start using your STEAM-01
Remove the water container by pulling it in the opposite direction from the
nozzle.
Remove the rubber plug on top of the container and fill it with distilled
water as it will prevent mineral deposits in the steamer system.
Close the top again and put the container back into position.
Using STEAM-01
- Turn on the steamer and the indicator lights red. After about 25 seconds the indicator turns off and it will indicate the right steam temperature has been reached.
- Press the steam button, which will turn green and the steam jets will begin. Do not press the steam button if the red light is on.
- If the red light turns on while steaming, please wait a few seconds without pressing the button until the light turns off again. The steamer is now ready to use again.
- When using the steamer for the first time, test steaming on an old cloth or similar as there might be dry powder sediment left in the steamer from the production process.
- Steam your garment by hanging it on a hanger, pull lightly on it with one hand, and start steaming from the upper part with the other, press steam button, then move steam nozzle up and down.
The steam is hot. Always point the steamer, so that the steam jets away
from you. Do not use the steamer for more than 30 minutes continuously. If you
wish to use it for more than 30 minutes, let the steamer cool off for one hour
before using it again. For garments with buttons such as shirts, jackets and
pants, close the first button to help straighten the fabric. For shirt
pockets, move the steamer head upwards while pressing against the fabric. To
steam sleeves, start from the shoulder area and move the steamer head
downwards. Steam while you pull the sleeve diagonally down with the other
hand. For garment with collar, move the steamer horizontally along the collar.
Note: The steamer can be used for creating a natural look and for quick touch-
ups. Keep the steamer head a slight distance away from dresses with frills,
ruffles or sequins. Use only the steam to loosen the fabric. You can also
steam from the inside.
The fabric brush attachment improves steam penetration to achieve faster and
better steaming result on thick and heavy garment such as coat and jacket. The
brush has to be used together with steam by pressing the steam trigger and
slowly moving the bristles along the garment. Note : Always unplug the
steamer before you attach or detach the brush attachment. Be careful, the
steamer head may still be hot.
After use
Always empty the water container after use, to prevent mineral deposits in the steamer system. Press steam button to empty the leftover water from the steam system. Rinse the water container to remove any deposits. Wipe any deposits off the steamer head with a damp cloth and a non-abrasive liquid cleaning agent.
