IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

WARNING

  • The operation of any power tool can result in foreign objects being thrown into your eyes, which can result in severe eye damage. Before the beginning of power tool operation, always wear safety goggles or safety glasses with side shields and a full-face shield, when needed. We recommend using a wide vision safety mask over eyeglasses or standard safety glasses with shields. Always use eye protection marked to comply with ANSI Z87.1.

  • Protect your lungs. Wear a face or dust mask when using the fogger. Following this rule will reduce the risk of serious personal injury.

  • Some spray created from products used with the fogger contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defect, or other reproductive harm. Some examples of these chemicals are:
    – Compounds in fertilizers;
    – Compounds in insecticides, herbicides, and pesticides;
    – Arsenic and chromium from chemically treated lumber.

  • Follow directions on containers of all such products. To reduce your exposure to these chemicals, wear approved safety equipment such as facemasks that are specially designed to filter out sprays, gloves, and other appropriate protective equipment.

General Safety Warnings

INSTRUCTIONS PERTAINING TO A RISK OF FIRE, ELECTRIC SHOCK, OR INJURY TO PERSONS
When using an electrical appliance, basic precautions should always be followed, including the following:

To reduce risk of fire, electric shock, or injury:

  • Know your fogger. Read the instruction manual carefully. Learn the fogger’s applications and limitations, as well as the specific potential hazards related to this fogger. Following this rule will reduce the risk of electric shock, fire, or serious injury.

Work Area Safety

Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.
Do not operate appliances in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases, or dust. Appliances create sparks, which may ignite dust or fumes.
Keep children and bystanders away while operating an appliance. Distractions can cause you to lose control.

Electrical Safety

  • Appliance plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use any adaptor plugs with earthed (grounded) appliances. Unmodified plugs and matching outlets will reduce the risk of electric shock.
  • Do not expose the appliance to rain or wet conditions. Water entering an appliance will increase the risk of electric shock.

Personal Safety

  • Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Keep your hair and clothing away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewelry, or long hair can be caught in moving parts.
  • If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction and collection facilities, ensure that these are connected and properly used. The use of dust  collection can reduce dust-related hazards
  • Do not let familiarity gained from frequent use of tools allow you to become complacent and ignore tool safety principles. A careless action can cause severe injury within a fraction of a second.

Use and Care

  • Do not force the appliance. Use the correct appliance for your application. The correct appliance will do the job better and be safer at the rate at which it was designed.
  • Do not use the appliance if the switch does not turn it on and off. Any appliance that cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
  • Disconnect the battery pack from the appliance before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing the appliance. Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of starting the appliance accidentally.
  • Store idle appliances out of the reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar with the appliance or these instructions to operate the appliance. Appliances are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
  • Maintain appliances and accessories. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts, and any other condition that may affect the appliance If damaged, have the appliance repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained appliances.
  • Use the appliance and accessories etc. in accordance with these instructions, taking into account the working conditions and the work to be performed. Use of the appliance for operations different from those intended could result in a hazardous situation.
  • Keep handles and grasping surfaces dry, clean, and free from oil and grease. Slippery handles and grasping surfaces do not allow for safe handling and control of the appliance in unexpected situations.

Battery Pack Use and Care

  • Recharge only with the charger specified by the manufacturer. A charger that is suitable for one type of battery pack may create a risk of fire when used with another battery pack.
  • Use appliance only with specifically designated battery packs. Use of any other battery packs may create a risk of injury and fire.
  • Use only with battery packs and chargers listed below.

  • When the battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects like paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws, or other small metal objects that can make a connection from one terminal to another. Shorting the battery terminals together may cause burns or a fire.
  • Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the battery; avoid contact. If contact accidentally occurs, flush with water. If liquid contacts eyes, additionally seek medical help. Liquid ejected from the battery may cause irritation or burns
  • Do not use a battery pack or appliance that is damaged or modified. Damaged or modified batteries may exhibit unpredictable behavior resulting in fire, explosion, or risk of
  • Do not expose a battery pack or appliance to fire or excessive temperature. Exposure to fire or temperature above 265 °F (130 °C) may cause an explosion.
  • Follow all charging instructions and do not charge the battery pack or appliance outside the temperature range specified in the instructions. Charging improperly or at temperatures outside the specified range may damage the battery and increase the risk of fire.

Service

  • Have your appliance serviced by a qualified repair person using only identical replacement parts? This will ensure that the safety of the appliance is maintained.

  • Do not modify or attempt to repair the appliance or the battery pack except as indicated in the instructions for use and care.

Safety Warnings for Foggers

  • Before using any pesticide or other spray materials in this fogger, read the label on its original container thoroughly and follow its directions. Some spray materials are dangerous and should not be used in this fogger, as they can damage the fogger and cause serious bodily injury or property damage.
  • Do not use in rain.
  • For household use only.
  • Electric shock hazard. Never spray toward electrical outlets.
  • Risk of injection. Do not discharge directly against the skin.
  • Do not allow the appliance to be used as a toy. Close attention is necessary when used by or near children.
  • Use only as described in this manual. Use only manufacturer’s recommended
  • Do not handle the charger, including charger plug, or charger terminals with wet

  • Do not leave the appliance unattended when the battery is inserted. Remove the battery when the fogger is not in use and before servicing.
  • Keep the appliance and its handle dry, clean, and free from oil and grease. Always use a clean cloth when cleaning. Never use brake fluids, gasoline, petroleum-based products, or any strong solvents to clean your fogger. Following this rule will reduce the risk of loss of control and deterioration of the enclosure plastic.
  • Batteries can explode in the presence of a source of ignition, such as a pilot light. To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, never use any cordless product in the presence of an open flame. An exploded battery can propel debris and chemicals. If exposed, flush with water immediately.
  • To reduce the risk of electrical shock, do not put the appliance in water or other Do not place or store appliance where it can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink.

PREPARATION

Know Your Fogger

This fogger keeps fluid continuously cycling through the tank to allow pump- free spraying.

This fogger can be used for most household home and garden chemicals such as insecticides, fungicides, weed killers, and fertilizers. Before attempting to use the fogger, familiarize yourself with all of its operating features and safety requirements.

WARNING

  • Do not allow familiarity with the appliance to cause carelessness. Remember that one careless moment is enough to cause severe injury.

WARNING

  • Do not attempt to modify this appliance or create accessories not recommended for use with this appliance. Any such alteration or modification is misused and could result in a hazardous condition leading to possible serious personal injury.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

To Install/Remove Battery Pack

To Attach Battery Pack

a. Make sure that the spray trigger (A) and the power switch (B) are in the off positions (not depressed).
b. Open the battery bay cover (G).
c. Align the raised portion on the battery pack with the grooves inside the battery bay, and then slide the battery pack into the battery bay as shown.
d. Ensure that the battery-release buttons on the battery pack snap into place and the battery pack is secured to the tool before beginning operation.
e. Close the battery bay cover and make sure that it is closed securely.

NOTICE: When placing the battery pack on the tool, be sure that the raised rib on the battery pack aligns with the groove on the tool and the latches snap into place properly. Improper assembly of the battery pack can cause damage to internal components.

To Detach Battery Pack

a. Make sure that the spray trigger (A) and the power switch (B) are in the off positions (not depressed).
b. Open the battery bay cover (G).
c. Press the battery-release buttons to release the battery pack.
d. Pull backward on the battery pack to remove it from the tool.
e. Close the battery bay cover and make sure that it is closed securely.

WARNING

  • Battery tools are always in operating condition. Therefore, the spray trigger (A) and the power switch (B) should be in the off positions (not depressed) when the tool is not in use or when carrying the tool at your side.

Battery Pack Protection

To protect the life of the battery pack, the fogger will shut off when the battery’s charge becomes too low. If this happens, remove the battery pack and charge it according to the charger’s instructions.

Filling the Tank

Liquids to be sprayed must be as thin as water.
Thicker liquids will not spray properly. Do not overfill the tank.

a. Remove the battery pack.
b. Unscrew the tank cap (D) and remove it from the tank.
c. Fill the tank with the desired amount of water.
d. Measure the recommended amount of liquid chemical. Carefully pour the liquid chemical into the tank If necessary, use a funnel (not included).
e. Screw the cap back onto the tank making sure it is tightened securely.

Spray solutions may be premixed and poured into the tank, using a funnel if needed.

NOTICE: If using a funnel to fill the tank, be sure to thoroughly clean and rinse the funnel after use. If premixing the spray solution, rinse the container used for mixing.

NOTICE: It is important to thoroughly clean the unit after each use. Allowing the liquid to remain in an idle tool for an extended period may cause its moving pieces and connectors to seize up.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

To Start/Stop the Fogger

a. Slide the power switch (B) forward with your thumb and wait for the fan to reach full speed.
b. While keeping the power switch in the forward position, press the spray trigger (A). A spray mist/fog will start coming out of the nozzle (E).
Release the power switch (B).
NOTE: if you squeeze the spray trigger when the fan is not yet running at full speed, the liquid may squirt out of the nozzle.
c. To turn the fogger OFF, release the spray trigger.

Changing Spraying Volume

a. For higher spray volume, rotate the adjusting knob (C) clockwise.
b. For lower spray volume, rotate the adjusting knob counterclockwise.

Spraying Home-And-Garden Chemicals

WARNING

  • Always wear eye protection with side shields or goggles marked to comply with ANSI Z87.1. Wear a face or dust mask when using the fogger.
    Failure to do so could result in fluids entering your eyes and lungs resulting in possible serious injury.

a. Open the battery bay door and attach the battery pack Securely close the battery bay door.
b. Turn the fogger on as described in the section “To Start/Stop the Fogger”.
c. Aim the spraying nozzle directly at the plants or objects you wish to spray.
NOTE: Make sure to stand far enough from the object being sprayed to prevent the spray from splashing back onto you.
d. Release the spray trigger to stop the fogger.
e. Always empty, clean, and drain the tank after every use as directed in the “Care and Maintenance” section.
f. When finished with the fogger, thoroughly wash hands and any area where the skin has been exposed to the mist.

Operating Tips

  • Never point the spraying nozzle at yourself or others.
  • Avoid spraying on windy days. Spray can be accidentally blown onto plants or objects that should not be sprayed.
  • Never point the fogger in the direction of people or animals. Always spray downwind.
  • Spray in the early morning or late afternoon, especially in warmer weather. Excessive heat can evaporate the spray before it settles.
  • Never smoke, eat, or drink while operating the fogger.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

All maintenance should only be carried out by a qualified service technician.

WARNING
Before cleaning or performing any maintenance, remove the battery pack from the tool. Never disassemble the tool, battery pack, or charger. For safe and proper operation, always keep the tool and its ventilation slots clean.

WARNING
To reduce the risk of personal injury and damage, never immerse your tool, battery pack or charger in liquid or allow a liquid to flow inside them.

Draining the tank:

  • If there is any liquid left in the tank after spraying, the tank should be drained before cleaning. Do not store chemicals in the tank.
  • Drain the contents of the tank through the fill area.
  • Always use only a soft, dry cloth to clean outside of the tank; never use detergent or alcohol.

NOTE: Drain the contents back into the original container or a suitable replacement container. For disposal, follow instructions on the product’s label and all local, state, and federal regulations.

Cleaning the fogger:

  • Fill the tank about one-third full with clean water. Reinstall the battery pack. Spray until the tank has been emptied. Make sure to direct the fogger toward an area that will not be damaged by the spray solution.
  • Refill and repeat the procedure with clean water. It may be necessary to rinse the tank more than once, then drain again as directed above.
  • Always use only a soft, dry cloth to clean the outside of the tool and tank; never use detergent or alcohol.
  • Allow all pieces to completely dry before reinstalling parts and storing the unit.

TROUBLESHOOTING

WARNING
Turn the switch to the “OFF” position and remove the battery pack from the tool before performing troubleshooting procedures.

PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE CORRECTIVE ACTION
Fogger does not work. 1. Low battery pack capacity.
2. The battery pack or fogger is too hot. 1. Charge the battery pack.

2. Turn off the fogger and allow the fogger and battery pack to cool.
Spraying is weak.| The liquid is too thick.| Make sure that all chemicals/liquids used in the fogger are as thin as water.
The fogger is running but not spraying the liquid.| The suction head inside the tank is not immersed in the liquid.| Shake the fogger and make sure that the suction head is immersed in the liquid.

For 5 years from the date of purchase, the tool is warranted for the original purchaser to be free from defects in material and workmanship. This guarantee does not cover damage due to abuse, normal wear, improper maintenance, neglect, unauthorized repair/alteration, or expendable parts and accessories expected to become unusable after a reasonable period of use.
