NextCentury TR4 Transceiver
Meet the next generation of the NextCentury Transceiver. The TR4 (indoor) is part of an advanced meter-reading solution that can transform almost any meter into a wireless smart meter, enabling it to automatically connect to the NextCentury Cloud Platform. Setup and installation of the Transceiver is quick and easy.

Meter+TM Technology
Meter+TM Technology has been developed to allow a Transceiver model to connect to virtually all modern submeter outputs. These include a variety of different pulse-out meters as well as encoded output meters. Meter+TM Encoder technology supports Sensus, Neptune, Amco, Elster, and GWF 3-wire protocols. Simply wire the meter and Transceiver with the proper configuration, and it will automatically detect which protocol to use. The Meter+TM Smart Pulse detection allows the Tranceiver to detect, correct, and report faulty (ghosting) reed switches.

Installation
Mounting On Wall
Remove the mounting plate from the Transceiver
Anchor the mounting plate using the included hardware or tape
Slide the Transceiver back onto mounting plate
Mounting On M201 Meter
Attach M201 mounting plate (included with M201 meters)
Slide the Transceiver on the meter mounting plate
Using Pre-installed Pulse Connector
When using a meter with the pre-installed pulse connector, simply attach it to
the IN and GND posts of the Transceiver. The two posts are labeled and marked
with an outline for your convenience.

Check Configuration

Press and hold the Test Connect button for 5 seconds to enter Configuration Mode

The Meter LED will display a solid color to show the current meter type configuration
Red Meter LED = Encoded
Blue Meter LED = Pulse -
Tap the Test Connect button to toggle between Pulse Meter (red) and Encoded Meter (blue) configurations

After 3 seconds, the meter type is accepted

If configured for Encoded, the Meter LED will blink green when wiring is correct
Cloud Connected
Wireless Made Easy
When installing NextCentury Transceivers, you can instantly know if everything
is working correctly by tapping the red Test Connect button. The Transceiver’s
RF LED will blink when it is able to communicate with its Gateway
Programming
Programming Transceivers can be completed quickly on the NextCentury Web or Mobile App, either ahead of time or on-site. To receive immediate feedback with the Test Connect button, make sure the Gateway is programmed and connected to the NextCentury Cloud.
