IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance.

  2. Check that your mains voltage corresponds to that stated on the appliance.

  3. Never leave the appliance unsupervised when in use.
    This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

  4. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

  5. From time to time check the cord for damages. Never use the appliance if cord or appliance shows any signs of damage.

  6. Only use the appliance for domestic purposes and in the way indicated in these instructions.

  7. Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid for any reason whatsoever. Never place it into the dishwasher.

  8. Never use the appliance near hot surfaces.

  9. Should the cord be damaged, it must be replaced by a qualified service center.

  10. Before cleaning, always unplug the appliance from the power supply.

  11. Appliances are not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remo-te-control system.

  12. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a special cord or assembly available from the manufacturer or its service agent.

  13. Never use the appliance outside and always place it in a dry environment.

  14. Never use accessories which are not recommended by the producer. They could constitute a danger to the user and risk to damage the appliance.

  15. Never move the appliance by pulling the cord. Make sure the cord cannot get caught in any way. Do not wind the cord around the appliance and do not bend it.

  16. Place the appliance on a table or flat surface.

  17. Make sure the appliance has cooled down before cleaning and storing it.

  18. Make sure the cord never comes into contact with the hot parts of the appliance.

  19. The temperature of accessible surfaces may be high when the appliance is operating.

  20. If the surface is cracked, switch off the appliance to avoid the possibility of electric shock.

  21. This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar environments only.

  22. Make sure the appliance never comes into contact with inflammable materials, such as curta-ins, cloth, etc. when it is in use, as a fire might occur.

  23. Be extremely careful, as oil or fat preparations might catch fire when overheated.

  24. When using the appliance under an extractor hood, make sure to observe the minimal distance advised by the producer. It is even wiser to double this distance.

  25. Only use the appliance for food that is supposed to be cooked.

  26. The appliance cooking operation shall not exceed 1 hour.

Use

  1. Remove all packaging material before using the cooking plates.
  2. Check the voltage marked on the product is the same as your supply voltage.
  3. Select a suitable position close to an electric socket, on a dry and even surface.
  4. Make sure the controls are in the OFF position (MIN facing upwards).
  5. Plug in.
  6. The invisible protective coating must be removed before you can use the appliance. To do this, set the controls to the maximum setting and leave switched on for approximately 4 minutes. Smoke will develop, make sure that the room is ventilated. Switch off the cooking plate and allow to cool down completely. The cooking plate is now ready for use.
  7. Always use flat-bottomed saucepans, which make good contact with the cooking plate. The saucepan bases should ideally be of the same size as the cooking plate.
  8. Select the temperature. The cooking plate has a range of temperatures. Use the lower heat settings (MIN to 4) for simmering and gentle heating and the high settings 5 to MAX for boiling
  9. Due to the cooking plate’s construction, residual heat will remain after switching off. This may be used to keep food warm for a short period.
  10. After use, turn temperature dial to ”MIN” and unplug the appliance from electrical outlet.

Cleaning

  1.  Before cleaning, unplug and wait for the appliance to cool down.
  2. Wipe with a moistened cloth.
  3. Do not clean with any abrasive scouring pad or steel wool, as this will damage the finish.
