SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Before use make sure to read all of the below instructions in order to avoid injury or damage, and to get the best results from the appliance. Make sure to keep this manual in a safe place. If you give or transfer this appliance to someone else make sure to also include this manual. In case of damage caused by the user failing to follow the instructions in this manual, the warranty will be void. The manufacturer/importer accepts no liability for damages caused by failure to follow the manual, negligent use or uses not in accordance with the requirements of this manual.

  1. This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
  2. Children shall not play with the appliance.
  3. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
  4. This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as staff kitchen areas in shops, offices, and other working environments; farm houses; by clients in hotels, motels, and another residential type environment; bed and breakfast type environments; catering and similar non-retail applications.
  5. Do not store explosive substances such as aerosol cans with a flammable propellant in this appliance.
  6. The appliance is suitable for camping use.
  7. The appliance may be connected to more than one source of energy.
  8. The appliance shall not be exposed to rain.
  9. Children aged from 3 to 8 years are allowed to load and unload refrigerating appliances.
  10. WARNING: When positioning the appliance, ensure the supply cord is not trapped or damaged.
  11. WARNING: Do not locate multiple portable socket outlets or portable power supplies at the rear of the appliance.
  12. Opening the door for long periods can cause a significant increase in the temperature in the compartments of the appliance.
  13. Clean regularly surfaces that can come in contact with food.
  14. . If the refrigerating appliance is left empty for long periods, switch off, defrost, clean, dry, and leave the door open to prevent mold from developing within the appliance.
  15. Before inserting the plug into the main socket, please check that the voltage and frequency comply with the specifications on the rating label.
  16. Disconnect the mains plug from the socket when the appliance is not in use and before cleaning.
  17. Ensure that the mains cable is not hung over sharp edges and keep it away from hot objects and open flames.
  18. Do not immerse the appliance or the mains plug in water or other liquids. There is a danger to life due to electric shock!
  19. To remove the plug from the plug socket, pull the plug. Do not pull the power cord.
  20. Do not touch the appliance if it falls into the water. Remove the plug from its socket, turn off the appliance and send it to an authorized service center for repair.
  21. Do not plug or unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet with a wet hand.
  22. Never attempt to open the housing of the appliance, or to repair the appliance yourself. This could cause electric shock.
  23. This appliance is not designed for commercial use.
  24. Do not use the appliance for other than intended use.
  25. Do not wind the cord around the appliance and do not bend it.
  26. Turn the unit off and wait at least 5 minutes when changing between “COLD” and “HOT” modes.
  27. When using in the car, there will be a drain on the car battery if the engine is off.
  28. Ensure the fan is able to rotate at all times.
  29. The unit is not designed for heating cold foods.
  30. Anything (such as medications and milk) that can spoil is not recommended to be kept in the appliance in case the temperature is too high. Drinks that do not spoil easily, such as Coke, are preferred.
  31. Protect the appliance from direct sunlight, never use the appliance in a closed room without an air exchanger.
  32. It is recommended to be used in the station wagon’s luggage compartment or middle row, or on the seat beside the driver or rear row of a general car.
  33. Leave 100mm to the wall on the rear side to keep the ventilation.

FEATURES

This thermoelectric unit is designed to be a portable storage container for cold or hot drinks and food. In “COLD” mode it can cool till approximately 16-20°C below ambient temperature. This product can also be used in “HOT” mode to store hot pre-cooked food and drinks to approximately 55-65°C. It can be powered by a 12 Volt DC system such as a vehicle or can be powered from a household AC system.

USE

Make sure the sliding switch for mode is at position “OFF” before connecting to power. It is recommended to use AC power to refrigerate drinks first before use DC power in a vehicle. It would be helpful to make drinks cool.

When household power is used:
Slide the sliding switch for power to position “AC”; connect one end of the AC power cord to the AC input of the appliance, and plug the other end of the cord to the AC socket.

When car power is used:
A car engine is required. The plug of DC power cord is the cord that should be inserted into the socket of the cigarette lighter in the car. Slide the sliding switch for power to position “DC”; connect one end of the DC power cord to the DC input of the appliance, and plug the other end of the cord to the cigarette lighter socket of the car.

Mode selection
COLD – Move the sliding switch to “COLD”, the unit will start cooling drinks/food and the green indicator light will be on. HOT – Move the sliding switch to “HOT”, the unit will start warming drinks/food and the red indicator light will be on. OFF – Move the sliding switch to “OFF”, the unit will be off.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  1. Keep cords and cigarette lighter sockets clean at all times. Small tobacco or dirt particles in the socket or the plug
    may affect performance.

  2. The fan and vents should be cleaned periodically. While the unit is unplugged, clean the fan blades and vents using a paintbrush or other soft-bristled brushes. Remove all hair, dirt, or dust that may have accumulated.

  3. To clean, wipe the inside of the appliance with a warm damp cloth or sponge. Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaners. A mild soap should be sufficient, but if stains or odors remain, household bleach or baking soda may be added to the washing solution. Keep the door open for several hours after cleaning to allow the interior to thoroughly dry and to prevent odors from forming in the cooler.

  4. For long periods of storage, a small container of baking soda or charcoal, placed inside, will eliminate objectionable odors.
