Instrustions

  • Default Bluetooth Password: 123456
  • Default Access Point (AP) Password: 123456789
  • Access Point Web Address: 192.168.4.1
  • To enter to your AP you MUST select “Smart Access” on your list of available Wi-Fi networks to join.

You MUST register your device to receive email notifications of software updates for new features and improvements.

You must create an account to register your device and access the complete installation guide. In the event there is a software update to the device, you will receive notifications and will be able to download the software through your registered account.

This User Guide will take you through the basic steps for set up and testing of the system.

  • Remove all contents from the boxes.
  • Place all contents on a table or work surface.
  • Connect the finger-touch sensor and locks to the controller.
    • It is important to have the finger-touch sensor plugged into the electronic controller prior to connecting the power adapter to an outlet.
  • Leave unused lock connectors in controller ports to protect the pins from damage and dust.
  • Once the finger-touch sensor and locks have been plugged into the controller plug in the power adapter to a wall outlet.

  • If you don’t plan to use all controller lock ports we recommend using the ports further from the finger-touch port first. (The Aux/Lock Port is the closest to the finger-touch port it can be used interchangeably for a lock or an accessory such as a light sold separately).smartaccess-technologies-SAS-03-02-Electronic-Controller-Kit-FIG-3
  • Set the USB battery pack power cable aside. This cable will be used in case there is a power outage and the user needs to unlock their furniture by connecting it to the power cord and an external cellphone power bank back up battery charger (5V 3A).

The App

  • Download the Smart Access App SmartAccess Technologies at the App Store or Google Play.
  • Once in the app, the app will search for the device.
  • Click on the device Smart Access to connect.
  • To connect please enter the default password 123456.
  1. Press + to add a new device.
  2. Press and hold (2 secs) to delete or rename the device.
  3. Tap on the named device

you would like to access. For security reasons it is highly recommended to change the Bluetooth password as soon as possible.

  1. Tap on the small lock icon to control the locks by tapping on the center lock icon.
  2. Tap on the alarm icon to activate or deactivate the audible alert that indicates if a door or drawer was left open.
  3. Tap on the fingerprint icon to add or delete fingerprints from the device.
  4. Press and hold light icon to open menu to change it to lock icon if desired.
    If the APP is left running in the background, and you go beyond Bluetooth range you may need to tap on the Bluetooth icon to reconnect.

If you intend to use the optional light then the light icon can be left in place but if you intend to use that port as a lock a long press on the icon will switch it to a lock icon.smartaccess-technologies-SAS-03-02-Electronic-

Tap on the finger print to add or delete fingerprints

Tap on the light icon if you want to use a light as an accessory

  • Test the system, confirm the locks unlock and lock using the app.
  • Register your fingerprint by selecting the fingerprint icon in the app and following the prompts.
  • Verify that the fingerprint has been registered by checking the system using the finger-touch sensor to control the locks.
  • Once everything has been tested and set up, unplug the power adapter, disconnect locks and finger-touch sensor and proceed to install in the desired furniture.

During installation please remember to connect the locks and finger-touch sensor to the electronic controller and make sure they are pushed all the way in before plugging the power adapter to the wall. Once installed test the system before closing doors or drawers.

Wireless Access Point

  • The electronic controller has it’s own wireless access point (AP). Through the AP the user will be able to control the locks, add or delete fingerprints, change the AP display name, AP password and Bluetooth password. An Admin Portal is under development.
  • Controller software updates will be done through AP. You must register your device to download the software and receive email notifications.
  • The AP will emit it’s own WiFi signal so the user will have to join the particular Smart Access Network Smart Access….. under the available Wi-Fi list and enter the password.
  • The default password for the AP is 123456789.
  • For security reasons it is highly recommended to change the password as soon as possible.
  • As soon as you connect to the AP network go to your web browser and enter 192.168.4.1. There is a chance your phone / computer will automatically open the page.

Change AP and Bluetooth Passwords

  • Access the AP for the very first time using the default password 123456789.
  • On the main page you can control the system as you would on the app.
  • Once in the main page click on Passwords.
  • In the new window, enter the new password under AP Password (minimum 8 alpha-numeric characters).
  • You can also change the Bluetooth Password by entering 6 numeric characters under Bluetooth Password.
  • Please do not enter your router SSID or router Password yet, that is a feature that is under development. (You will be notified when that feature is available, you must register your device to receive email notifications).
  • Press Apply.
  • The page will boot you out since the passwords have changed so you would need to log back in with the new password to access the AP.

Password Edit Page

  • Device Name: WiFi Name to be displayed on Network list.
  • AP Password: default is 123456789 please change for security.
  • WiFi SSID: home WiFi to connect through the router (Feature Under Development please do not enter WiFi SSID) .
  • WiFi Password: home WiFi password (Feature Under Development plese do not enter WiFi Password).
  • Bluetooth Password: default is: 123456 please change for security. You must register your device to be able to download firmware / software updates for your system.
    • Please note, for security reasons if someone changes the Bluetooth password everyone already connected to the system will need to update the password to the new password to have access. Entering the wrong Bluetooth password will also trigger everyone to disconnect.

Reset to Original Default Passwords

  • For security reasons only the first three (3) fingerprints are able to reset the device to its original default passwords.
  • Press the finger-touch sensor for 15 seconds let go, the lock will open and close and the finger touch sensor will turn on and off flashing purple for one second. Those are indications everything has been reset.
  • Both Access Point and Bluetooth passwords will be reset to the original default passwords.
