LAYOUT
PAIRING CAMERA
- Select Connection>Connect Device>The Remote In the camera’s preferences to enter Pairing mode.
- Press the Power Button on the remote for 1 second to turn on the remote and wait for the screen to display battery capacity.
- Press the Setting Button for 3 seconds and wait for the setting menu to be displayed on the screen.
- Select the Pair item and press the Shutter Button to enter the pairing mode.
- Wait for the camera screen to prompt that the pairing is complete, and the remote will automatically exit the pairing mode. The pairing is complete.
- If the pairing fails, please restore the camera to factory settings, Then pair it again.

- After a long period of power off, the camera may completely shut down the wireless connection. You need to turn on the camera manually, and the wireless connection will be automatically turned on.
BUTTONS

Power /Mode Button
Power on: Press and hold for 1 second to turn on
Power off: Press and hold for 3 seconds to turn off
Switching modes: Press the Power Button one time, the cameras will switch to the next mode.
During recording, press the Power Button to mark a HiLight tag. -
Shortcut Button
Press and hold Shortcut Button for 3 seconds to set the current sub- mode as Shortcut sub-mode.
After that, click Shortcut Button will immediately jump to this Shortcut sub-mode. -
Setting Button
Click the Setting Button, the camera will switch among all the sub-modes of the current main mode in turn Long press the Setting Button, the camera will enter the setting menu. -
Shutter Button
Press Shutter Button to start/stop recording a video or taking a photo.
SETTINGS
- Use the Shortcut Button and Setting Button to move the cursor.
- Click the Shutter Button to confirm the selection.
- Click the Power Button to return to the previous menu.
- Pair: Enter the pairing mode and wait camera to pair.
- Language: Set the remote’s language
- Brightness: Select the brightness of the indicator light
- Options: Turn on/off Multiple control functions
CHARGING
- Attach the magnetic charging cable to the charging port on the back of the remote. A cell phone USB charger is required.
- The charging indicator will turn on When charging and turn off when the battery is fully charged.
- When the remote control is not connected to the camera, it will automatically Power off after two minutes to save battery.
MULTIPLE CAMERAS CONTROL
- Multiple control functions consumes more power, please turn it off if not in use.
- In the remote menu, select Options >MULTI-CAM>ON, and press the Shutter Button to enable multiple controls.
- According to the previous description, put all the cameras that need to be controlled into pairing mode and wait for each camera to be paired one by one.
- Check the number of cameras displayed on the remote, make sure that all cameras are paired, click Setting Button to exit the pairing mode, and the pairing is complete.
- In multi-camera mode, all cameras will be synchronized and you can’t Switch sub-mode or use Shortcut Button.
TROUBLESHOOTING
- The firmware of the Hero 8 camera itself needs to be 5 or above. (Not the firmware of the remote)
- Restoring the camera to factory settings can solve most of the problems.
