STRIVE USER MANUAL

Thank you for choosing the STRIVE goggle from Red Bull SPECT Eyewear. The STRIVE goggle has been developed to get you the best possible eye protection for motorsport activities. Please read the following instructions carefully and keep this brochure in a safe place at your disposal.

SAFETY

  • The STRIVE goggle can be used for all kinds of motorcycle and moped activities except official races and competitions.
  • The goggle protects from wind, solar radiation, and impacts from water or It is not a safe goggle. Consequently, the lenses do not offer any protection against hard or pointed objects, nor does the goggle prevent injuries due to falling or prevent traumas caused by high-energy impacts.
  • The goggle is not suitable for direct viewing of the sun (e.g. during eclipses) and for exposure to UV radiation produced by artificial means (e.g. suntan lamps).
  • In order to avoid the goggle lens from fogging up, foam-covered air vents around the frame provide adequate venting.
  • The frame is made out of TPU material which retains its softness in all ambient climate
  • Only lenses with filter class 0 are suitable for use in low light

INSPECTION

  • Carefully check the goggle before every use and after every fall for any damage.

  • The lens must not be split, the strap must be securely faste­ned to the frame and the frame should not have any cracks.

  • Make sure the lens is fitted securely into the frame prior to use.

  • To guarantee an optimal fit, adjust the strap to the size of your

  • In case of damages (e.g. lens scratches, loose strap), change the lens, replace the defective part or, if necessary, the entire goggle.

  • Damaged goggles shall no longer be used.

  • Only use original spare parts and accessories as offered in the official Red Bull SPECT Eyewear commercial catalogs.

  • It is suggested to replace the goggle after two years of use.
    Its protective capacity, due to materials aging, decreases as time goes by.

  • The Michael Pachleitner Group is not responsible in case of the wrong use of original replacement parts.

MAINTENANCE

  • In order to prevent scratching of the lens always wash off any dirt and dust particles from the outside of the lens using lukewarm water.
  • The lens should then be cleaned with a wet soft cloth containing mild
  • Do not use any type of solvent or alcohol.
  • Dry the lens with a soft cloth by gently dabbing it or letting it air Do not use dirty or abrasive cloths/paper tissues since this will scratch the lens.
  • The detachable face foam can be cleaned and washed by hand using mild soap and lukewarm water.
  • Do not wash the STRIVE goggle or face foam in the washing machine.
  • Only by doing so, you can be certain that your goggle lens will remain undamaged for as long as possible.

STORAGE

  • Store your STRIVE goggle in a cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and/or heat (e.g. car dashboard, heater).
  • Storage in temperatures above 50°C is not recommended.
  • Always store the goggle in the supplied protective bag after use or during transport.
  • Do not place your goggle face down nor squeeze or twist

ACCESSORIES

  • The STRIVE goggle includes a mounted and detachable noseguard.

LENSES

  • The lens of the STRIVE goggle is a laminated double lens.
  • The outer lens is made of optical grade, impact- and scratch-resistant polycarbonate material.
  • The inner lens offers an anti-fog function.
  • The lenses meet impact-resistance standards and withstand a blow of 60m/s with a Ø6mm steel ball.
  • Every lens offers 100 % protection against UVA/UVB.
  • The lenses do not provide protection against hard or sharp objects.
  • Each type of STRIVE lens offers a different light reduction or transmission level.

LENS CHANGE

TEAR-OFF SYSTEM INSTALLATION

FACE FOAM REPLACEMENT INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Start at the upper corner of the frame, either on the left or the right side. Hold the goggle frame with one hand and gently pull away from the foam from the velcro closure by using the other hand. Please only pull on the Velcro fastener.

  2. Work your way around the entire frame by pulling the foam off bit by bit.

  3. Once removed, please feel free to wash the face foam dirt out by hand, using lukewarm water and mild soap. Do NOT wash it in the washing machine. Make sure it has completely dried out before starting to remount it.


  4. To put the foam back in place start in the top center and work your way around the frame, one side after the other. Make sure the outer
    edge of the foam fits tightly with the goggle outline all around.

The STRIVE goggle is manufactured in compliance with the applicable specifications and essential requirements applied by EU regulation (EU) 2016/425 on PPE as of April 21st, 2018.
